Nah Bucks, Celtics and Nuggets are all on the same ranking for me. Idk why people think the Bucks roster is that thin, they actually have quality bench players for sure. To me all those 3 teams are tied for #1, then it’s the rest
I believe you are underestimating Golden State and Miami... GS is very resilient, and Miami's additions of Josh Richardson, and Mark Bryant and the pieces they might have been missing.
But all in all I agree with your take...though I would like to see the adjustments both Boston, Milwaukee...they still need to gel as a team..and Phoenix is the biggest challenge...I would like to see them gel as a team.
My boys at #1 is always nice to see but I worry about the depth a tad as well , but we have 2 FRP , 3 Swaps , 8 SRP’s , and an 11 mil TPE to work with at the dead line as well so hopefully we can address that situation soon , plus Jrue said he’s retiring when his contract is up so that’s a big hole to fill in 2 years time !
If you could choose to snatch up anyone within that TPE 11 mil bracket, who would you go for? I think getting a decent young athletic big would be a much more critical asset than worrying about bench depth. Someone who can be durable and put himself between giannis, embiid, or jokic and the basket. We really don’t want that role to fall on porzingis… and Al in the past has been pretty good in those spots, but again we can’t count on him being that guy night after night. Someone like bam adebayo or nic claxton would be amazing-well someone similar but on an 11 mil budget so they’d obviously be worse but you get what I’m saying. They can have horrendous offense as long as the rim protection, screen ability and athleticism is on point. Someone with wingspan and great hops because even though porzingis is 7’3 giannis can easily jump over his reach
@@Amari_14I’m not saying Pritchard is a replacement because defensively there would be a huge gap, but by the time jrue is on his way out PP should be at starter level and in his prime. Very different skill set but it’s nice to have a backup guard who can get buckets and bring a lot of energy
@@Amari_14I agree and for what the Cs need he doesn’t really need to be a star in the way he had been with the bucks. Milwaukee relied way too much on his shooting and wore him down. The league is so good rn, there isn’t one team that makes me throw up in my mouth this year. Maybe the wizards but feel like it’ll be good games every night
I think you're low on the Pacers and Thunder, both of those teams seem clearly better than the Bulls. Bulls were mostly healthy last year outside of Lonzo who they'll be missing again, and they were no good. Pacers were on track for playoffs until Tyrese got injured. OKC could easily have a worse record than the Bulls because they play in the west, but I think they'll be the better team and would expect them to win when the two teams play each other. Also think you're a bit high on Philly. I also think you're a bit low on the T-Wolves, they sneakily gave Denver one of the hardest battles last season, Ant looked amazing with team USA and is going to be a superstar, Conley is a better fit for them at PG, and they played really well when KAT was out. Honestly I think their ceiling probably raises if they flip KAT for a two-way player, but even as they currently are constructed I see them as the biggest threat to upset a team like the Suns or Warriors come playoff time.
I don't think the Spurs will be the worst team in the NBA. I think the Magic, Hornets, and Pistons will be worse than the Spurs, could probably throw the Rockets in there too. But yes, the Spurs aren't gonna be great either. If they overachieve, the furthest they can go is the play in. My opinion, I say they will be picking in the 4 to 6 or 7 range in next years draft with another lottery pick that can jump into the top 10. In which I hope they take Stephon Castle to be that Murray replacement and the franchise pg going forward, with Tre being the back up. Then with the other pick they could maybe take another pg or a center
@@carsonallen8066 I don't disagree. I hope they can show some progression and not rely on trying to get a top pick anymore. Like Detroit for example, yes injuries did really hurt them, but this season they need to show progress with all that young talent they have and not rely on tanking just to drop from one to five. But like I said in my honest opinion, I don't see the Magic being the worst team but not there quite yet. However, I think the Spurs will be better than them
Honestly I have no idea why everyone ranks the hornets so low, they were above 500 2 seasons ago when it wasnt like that our whole team were in hospital
Wizards will actually be a lot better than most think this season. Obviously a bad, young team. However, Tyus jones is gonna play like a boarderline allstar snub type player. Poole will be even better than that, and kuzma is already an allstar caliber player. Deni, Kispert, Gafford, Bilal, etc. are gonna win at least 30
No way Spurs finish dead last, I know with Pop being Pop Wemby won’t get as much time as other times would have given him but I still think they will make a decent jump this season
I think the Wizards and Trail Blazers finish last in their conferences. Spurs finish just short of the play-in tournament. Definitely not the worst team in the league though.
The disrespect on the Thunder is crazy, bro put them in the same place they were last year. They have improved in all places, the younger players have only become better. But apparently that's not enough
Matt, I've been watching your videos for over 4 years and in all those years I haven't seen you say something as ludicrous as the Pels being the 17th best team in the league. When we were healthy last year we were the 1st seed in the west, and since then the young core has all improved. The team is more comfortable with how Willie wants them to play. I fully believe that the Pels if healthy are a contender. I get the injury concerns, but in a list like this it shouldn't matter as at this stage it's purely hypothetical if the team will sustain any injuries. Right now we have only a few minors ones like Trigga Trey who will most likely miss a few weeks (he looks good now though, so idk). If we finish as with a record that put us below, I'll stop paying my mortgage and instead giving all my money to you.
I think the safe bet is putting the Pelicans low BC nobody knows if Zion is gonna show up for work, CJ hasn't looked great, and BI gave the whole world no reason to be high on him with his team USA performance. I agree that if they're fully healthy they def deserve to be higher. Criminal to have them that far under the clippers who have the same struggles, but probably have a lower ceiling IMO.
The Miami heat take is horrible. They got worst in the off-season, they barely made the postseason but because they had a run in the playoffs they are a top 10 team in the NBA. Lmao
T-wolves are WAYYY too low Top 10 talent Top 5 offensive bigs Top 5 defensive bigs Top 5 defender Solid depth I’d have them over a couple of those teams at around 11-14
I would say that the kings were not lucky, sabonis played through a broken thumb and de'aaron fox a fractured ring finger. also that just shows their medical staff are good
The amount of disrespect for the Thunder is insane to me. Calling Shai a borderline top ten player when he was first team all-NBA is crazy and then to double down and say they lack the top end talent to really compete is even crazier. As the second youngest team in the league at the end of the season, they ended one game short of the playoffs, 13th in offensive ratting, and 14th in defensive ratting without a real rim protector. J-Dub will get better as he's no longer a rookie, Shai will still be dominant as opposing teams had nothing else to gameplan for but him last year which might not be the case this year, and their already slightly above average defense will be bolstered by a real center in Chet Holmgren. While they don't have all the pieces or experience needed to make a legit run at a title, they, more likely than not, will be firmly in the playoffs, rather than in the play-in tournament.
He is a borderline top 10 player. I don’t think that’s disrespectful. The top 7 are pretty wide accepted to be Jokic, Giannis, Embid, Luka, Steph, Tatum and KD. That leave the next tier of Booker, Shai, Butler, Lebron, AD, Ja, Kawhi. That’s 14 guys. Which 4 do you leave out of the top 10? There’s a LOT of stars, right now.

People hating on the Celtics again which doesn’t surprise me at all. The only team that is probably above them is the team that won it all last year the Denver Nuggets. The Bucks are a good team but they didn’t do anything in the playoffs. Celtics also have a better SF , SG and Center then the bucks do. Giannis is still a top 5 player in the league and Damien Lillard in my opinion is a top 5 PG in the league. But overall the Celtics have a better team hence why they where given the number 1 spot in this video. The Bucks and Celtics need to go far in this coming year’s playoffs if they don’t then all those trades where for nothing.
This kind of mentality is exactly why the Celtics lost to the Heat. They can have the best team ON PAPER but if they don’t address why they lost to Miami 2 of three times and almost lost in 2022 which is underestimating their enemy and playing with no soul or leadership they will lose once again
I don't think they're shocking anyone lol. Everyone has already seen what a healthy Pelicans squad can do last season in the beginning. The only shocking they can do is actually staying relatively healthy.

@@Bobsyagodif you actually watched the nba youd know that the reason they were the 8th seed is because those “pieces” were the worst shooters in the nba (reason they went from best shooting itl in 22 to 3rd worst this season)
@@Bobsyagodthey also had the most missed games due to injury. They were literally the 1st seed in 22 when the roleplayers just had average shooting. You could honestly call that entire season a fluke it was very strange shooting from those players. All they need to do is go back to league average shooting which they will and they will have a comfortable spot in the playoffs
Facts
So one reason you have the Cavs at 11 is because of possible mitchell leaving rumors but somehow the sixers are at 6 when harden has openly demanded a trade and has shown in the past lack luster play when unhappy. Makes a lot of sense lol
Cavs literally got Bullied by the poverty knicks lol I’m surprised their not lower
@@devontebroom6800 Nah I low-key think especially in the regular season the Cavs are gonna be better, they made some pretty solid signings to improve their depth and I think with Evan mobley and garland taking a step in their game with Mitchell they are definitely a better team on paper than the Knicks with randle who I think is pretty mid, and Brunson as their main player. I definitely think the Cavs are a top 3 team in the east behind the bucks and celtics, (could be above Celtics based on injuries)
embiid is greater than the entire cavs team
@@devontebroom6800 the Knicks were great post all star break and the playoffs are different anyway, so:
1. The Cavs' playoff loss is not too significative of how many games they'll win in the regular season
2. Watch out for the Knicks
As a spurs fan I disagree. I mean we gonna be bad but if they don’t intentionally tank and sit a ton of people in middle end of season they were a plucky team and Wembo could be what it takes to put it together. But hell we rebuilding and another top pick, albeit in a weak class, wouldn’t be bad
Kings are too low, Vezenkov is gonna be up there with the top shooters in the league somehow no one talks about him/them
Trash list can't explain he's a celtoc fan probably
@@whitewalker3292 I think he is a Knicks fan and honestly I thinks kings are low-key gonna be worse, I don't think they are gonna better than the nuggets, suns, warriors, lakers, (healthy clippers), grizzlies, mavs, thunder, or a Zion lead pelicans. I also think that there is no chance in any world that a fox lead kings have even a 5% chance of a title
Nah Bucks, Celtics and Nuggets are all on the same ranking for me. Idk why people think the Bucks roster is that thin, they actually have quality bench players for sure. To me all those 3 teams are tied for #1, then it’s the rest
Always watch your vids while I eat
I believe you are underestimating Golden State and Miami... GS is very resilient, and Miami's additions of Josh Richardson, and Mark Bryant and the pieces they might have been missing.
But all in all I agree with your take...though I would like to see the adjustments both Boston, Milwaukee...they still need to gel as a team..and Phoenix is the biggest challenge...I would like to see them gel as a team.
As a pistons fan, we could get worse that much, 17 wins last season and averaging 20 wins a season over the last 4
The magic are gonna surprise a lot of people
SAC and OKC will go up(bc of their new euro MVP), MEM, GSW and LAC will go down in this LIST. But any team depend of injuries...
No Jrue said he's planning on extending his contract
@@ramzeezthamightygod Jrue might not be a star much longer but he still has some food years ahead
@@Amari_14I agree and for what the Cs need he doesn’t really need to be a star in the way he had been with the bucks. Milwaukee relied way too much on his shooting and wore him down. I think with this new role/emphasis as more of a playmaker and ball handler can bring out the best in him-lowkey one of the smartest dudes in the league. I can see him lasting pretty long with them
Wolves at 16 is a crime
Thank you. Thank you for actually ranking the heat correctly
Sixers and Heat are too high IMO. Lots of luck played into the Heats run last year. I don’t think they’ll replicate that.
That part
Ahh that's some Knicks fan bias putting the Pacers that low lol, you'll be coming back at the end of the season seeing that was way off.

Pistons being 2-24💀
I don't think the Spurs will be the worst team in the NBA.
Magic are on the come up with a healthy roster they were above 500
@@carsonallen8066 I don't disagree. I hope they can show some progression and not rely on trying to get a top pick anymore. Like Detroit for example, yes injuries did really hurt them, but this season they need to show progress with all that young talent they have and not rely on tanking just to drop from one to five. But like I said in my honest opinion, I don't see the Magic being the worst team but not there quite yet. However, I think the Spurs will be better than them
Honestly I have no idea why everyone ranks the hornets so low, they were above 500 2 seasons ago when it wasnt like that our whole team were in hospital
Forgot to mention. Portland and Washington can also be teams that aren't good like the other teams I mentioned
It’s insane how much young talent the rockets have
Wizards will actually be a lot better than most think this season. Obviously a bad, young team. However, Tyus jones is gonna play like a boarderline allstar snub type player. Poole will be even better than that, and kuzma is already an allstar caliber player. Deni, Kispert, Gafford, Bilal, etc. are gonna win at least 30

well well well, look who slept at the wolves and okc
Swear I just seen boban in a rockets jersey today
This was good!!! 💯
I think the Wizards and Trail Blazers finish last in their conferences.
Spurs finish just short of the play-in tournament. Definitely not the worst team in the league though.
I don’t know where this confidence came from but after doubting them all offseason, I feel like my bulls can shock the world this season
Not
Was looking forward to this video #ThunderUp
the mavs could be higher if dwight powell wasnt the starting center every year
Timberwolves at 16😂😂😂
The disrespect on the Thunder is crazy, bro put them in the same place they were last year. They have improved in all places, the younger players have only become better. But apparently that's not enough
I think houston is not that bad I truly believe they can make the playoffs! Also the lakers in my opinion got the best bench in the league
Thunder at 18 aged well
Bro didn’t even talk about the raptors with the WC champ
yep def sleepin on the pacers
I agree with the green being number one ❤️👏🏾💪🏾🌍🌍🇺🇸❤️
I think Wemby is going to SILENCE all of the haters (as a heat fan)
The Miami heat take is horrible. They got worst in the off-season, they barely made the postseason but because they had a run in the playoffs they are a top 10 team in the NBA. Lmao
wow bulls so high on that list. without an elite pg, that team can't get it going at all.
Didn't mention Boston acquisition of Porzingis which will be huge.
the J in Darko's lasts name is pronounced with a Y like Jokic
Magic at 24, under the raptors and nets, that’s crazy ngl
Ig I’m the only one who believes in Orlando and believes they’ll be a top 10 team in the east if they’re healthy.
Pacers are at least a 7th seed if healthy
matt what’s your favorite slur ??
T-wolves are WAYYY too low
Top 10 talent
Top 5 offensive bigs
Top 5 defensive bigs
Top 5 defender
Solid depth
I’d have them over a couple of those teams at around 11-14
Ofc Matt hates the raptors lmaoo
GO ALL THE WAY FOR THE UNDERATED CLIPPERS.
I don’t want to be a hater but I think the Celtics at #1 is a bit much, I personally have them below Denver and Milwaukee, but we’ll see
Yeah I think it’s gonna be another Celtics meat ride into them out in playoffs
Agree 100%
100% true
Chet like Ben Simmons should not be considered an actual rookie
Thanks for showing love to the Celtics
Raptors are going to surprise you
I would say that the kings were not lucky, sabonis played through a broken thumb and de'aaron fox a fractured ring finger. also that just shows their medical staff are good
Lakers are so underrated
Bro Milwaukee easy top 2..But it's fine we have to wait till the end of the season ig..
The T wolves are tier 3 definitely
I don’t think this rank after20 will be like that
raptors 23rd?? i don’t believe that we’ll be going on a crazy run either but come on man
The amount of disrespect for the Thunder is insane to me.
@@andrewarnold9751in my opinion he’s number 8 rn he’s gonna be higher after this season because i do agree there going to be in the playoffs maybe a five six seed both points you guys make are true shai is borderline top ten but to me he’s for sure #8 and thunder are being disrespected a bit in this vid
@@calebhall68268 is too high. He’s not better than 1. Jokic 2. Giannis 3. Steph 4. Luka 5. Embiid 6. KD 7. Tatum 8. AD 9. LeBron 10. Jimmy 11. Booker 12. Kawhi. He’s in the 13-15 range
I think you are under estimating coach poo my boy.
I like the video but you completely contradicted your tier explanations. U said tier 4 would be teams u don’t expect to make playoffs and then said u expect the hawks to make playoffs
Aw! Pistons not dead last! Looking forward to another pick at 5.
