Stones is technically gifted, much more than the average defender. He reminds me a bit of Beckenbauer and Rijkaard, technical defenders and could play comfortably in the midfield.
Did you mean Ronald Koeman? Rijkaard was a midfielder. Pep always compared stones to Koeman.
No offence but the European CUp in the late 70s and Early 80s was a 5 round knock out competition and was nowhere near as hard to win as the Champions' League.

Stones didnât start at Right back in the final, he played at Centre mid, he went to RB in the second half
Its mad how Harry Maguire was put in euro 20 and world cup 22 team of the tournament when Stones was clearly the best CB for both. Just shows what wearing a red shirt gets you.
All great center halfs have more to their game than Just defending. You have to run plays and score goals to be a great.
