Me too! I saw it as a 6 year old and it literally gave me nightmares for over a decade. My mum sat me down one night and said "There's a new George Lucas film. You'll like this" - next minute that diner scene. Filled me dread. I had nightmares about an unstoppable inescapable demon guy with glowing eyes stalking me wherever I went.
The Dark Overlord is one of the reasons why this film is so dang enjoyable and memorable lol Whether people like or dislike the film, you gotta admit, this film has strong memorable moments :)
I remember Entertainment Weekly once did a "100 Funniest Movies Ever" feature and when they got to "Home Alone" (which was at the lower end of the list), they said something like "A kid with a sleepy duck face, acting like the kid he is."

@@gelguitarist So he created more pollution than they were checking for? I guess I get it now. His delivery is definitely great. Jenning is the only part of the movie I consistently enjoy. The idea of doing a smog inspection though, I've never even heard of that over here on the East Coast to this day. I'm guessing that only happened in California and shouldn't have been written into a movie set in the Midwest.
