This is by far the hardest mission in the entire game if you’re trying to achieve the medal on expert. On easy you need 200 kills, normal 250, hard 300, and expert 350. Sounds pretty straightforward on paper, but those that have attempted it will know that’s not the case. I’ll try to explain the mechanics behind it so for those not aware of what’s going on it will hopefully give you some clarity. If you’re skeptical or certain it won’t work all I can ask is that you give it a try for yourself before making a final judgment. I’ve played it out several times to the point I scored the medal 5 times in a row. It’s that effective if you follow my method.
Every last kill counts here and time is not on your side. 15 minutes sounds like a lot of time, but given certain factors it really isn’t if you’re not optimized. You need to score at least 22 kills a minute to have a chance at this. If you don’t have roughly 300 kills before Able Company arrives you most likely won’t make it. Certain things however will not count towards your kill count. For example: Friendly fire, off-map artillery from both sides, (allegedly) landmines deployed by a unit that is dead, ect. You’ll want to focus your attention on killing infantry as much as possible here. Stug, Halftrack, and Motorcycle kills are only worth 1 point each. While you don’t want to ignore a direct threat, they aren’t worth the time compared to grenadier/mortar squads.
You can somewhat simplify/cheese this mission by planting landmines everywhere on the opposing side of the river in the previous level. There’s no time limit there so you can setup defenses and traps as you see fit. I wanted the ultimate challenge however, so I decided against doing it for the walkthrough. If you capture the two points as well the 2 snipers and Grenadier squads will not spawn in. That’s an easy 10 kills right there before you’ve even started defending.
Placement of defenses will make or break any chance of success. That spot I selected will hold out so long as you are able to micro your defenders properly. Other spots will be flanked, bombarded, and overrun long before help arrives. My spot however makes it so the defenders don’t have to watch their backs much due to the hedgerows. Mortars typically make defenses on the Axis’ side of the river impossible to hold, but for whatever reason they cannot hit my setup so long as I don’t let them within a certain range. Use the Jeep or snipers to pick them off whenever possible.
Make sure to double, even triple your sandbag placements so your troops have multiple layers of protection because they won’t get much of a chance to set down more when the battle starts. Disregard the middle and right bridges, contrary to what the game will say, you don’t need to hold them. Too much to baby sit and a waste of manpower that should be saved when you inevitably need to reinforce your squads.
Set down at least 2 captured mg42s for suppression and at least 1 mortar to bombard pinned down units when your snipers can’t help. Always have 2 airborne squads equipped with recoils rifles to deal with the stugs/halftracks. Rotate them out if they’re down to 3 men and reinforce the squad at the church. You can keep an AT gun like I did for long range backup, but don’t rely on them because of their slow fire rate and lack mobility. Snipers are your bread and butter when it comes to racking up kills. Let them fire off a volley, then pull back so they don’t draw too much heat. Try to avoid shooting if there’s any vehicles within range. Use them to harass passing by squads of grenadiers, bully mortar crews, and eliminate pioneers with flamethrowers before they melt your other defenders.
If you leave any unit on the other side of the bridge the AI will relentlessly hone in on them. Including snipers in camouflage mode where tanks will chase, harass, and drive right over them while infantry will get close enough to expose them. That’s why it’s pivotal to have a defensive line to draw in the counter-attack force and let the snipers act in a supporting role to hit the infantry when they’re suppressed/pinned.
I made sure to methodically test this setup and I’m quite pleased with the results. I hope that answers any questions you have about this strategy, but if not, be sure to ask so I may answer. Enjoy!

I also didn't realize how intense the enemy assaults could be on expert difficulty, with the abundance of assault tanks and mortars. I believe I wouldn't be able to pass the expert difficulty test with my current skills. I play on the normal difficulty level. My tactic is to defend the three bridges, and when the German forces become too overwhelming, they call in artillery support, causing my troops to scatter in chaos. I retreat step by step until reaching the church area, where I receive armored support and begin a counterattack. It was a thrilling video, and I greatly appreciate it.

Finally, some of Rommel's best are coming in. Men, prepare yourselves for a "Kirrahe Strategy".
0:32: It was a neutral year, even for WW2. Better than 1940, I would say.
Fermentation does change a lot on fruit juices... vinegar's still better, since it not only makes foods more delicious (in spite of its initial smell and taste; case in point, try dipping the Filipino chicharon into it, although I might warn you that the native name for the stuff is almost the same as "vomit"), it also won't intoxicate you.
Man, if these Panzers and troopers came from Africa and the Soviet front (for more on the latter, CoH2 would be needed), I'll almost pity them for their defeats and suffering. Almost.
    1:55: Taking command again.
5:07: More ammo. Keep up the good work, Snipers.
6:00: Upping the ante. More men in less time, people!

14:14: Great job! That's one Panzer on our itinerary.
14:37: Good news: Command has finally given us permission to call upon heavy artillery from far away.
Also, why haven't we removed those damn flags from the Town Hall?
    15:30: That's two Panzers.
    16:55: Three!
    18:00: Umm, four.
20:01: Holy hell... sorry, what was that? Oh, right, five!
    20:23: Six!
22:35: Oh, crud, we're losing snipers.
Fudge, I lost count on tanks! You heard the commander, fall back!
24:42: *looks around* That's a lot of unoperated Kraut mortars. Geez, this is getting hard.
    24:56: No!
27:56: They killed K Team! Bastards!
28:42: ABOUT DAMN FREAKING TIME!!! LOOK WHAT HAPPENED HERE!!!
31:40: Yeah, look at 'em run again. Guess we're getting a very special medal soon after, albeit not everyone is here to celebrate.
