- This is the Invasion of Normandy (Original) campaign playthrough for Company of Heroes with no commentary.
Playing on normal difficulty.
I am planning to complete all primary objectives and secondary objectives, as well as getting the award/badge/medal for each mission.
Loading times have been sped up to save time.
Graphics on ultra settings.

i remembered building so much fortifications in the previous mission then by the time I played this mission allthe defenses I built was still there 🤣🤣
my own personal “Atlantik Wall” erected in all of the spawning points 😂 (mines, barbed wire, machine gun emplacements, etc.)
By the time I kicked it off the Germans kept falling victim to the all kinds of traps I set up for them that they finally brought in pioneers equipped with mine detectors 🤣🤣🤣

I can't beat this level the first time I tried. I barely able to hold the bridge and almost get overrun.
It just feels like the final scene as Saving Private Ryan...
The point was to save enough men just to defend the church nothing else
Seriously? This mission is pretty easy if you know how to layer your fortifications.

Really Well done with this part, and really great job, that was quite a battle, you held your ground and won that fight, and now the battle continues, keep doing a wonderful job, I look forward to more.
remember, this game has the same engine as the first down of war ... so pairing infantry and vehicles is a no-no, a separate group will do wonders later on... awesome as always, never got to hold the bridges on hard... the artillery barrage was to intense... and i did prepared myself since the last mission (left a sniper alive in a building so that the end won't trigger when i liberated the center :D).
For me, this mission was really intense. When I first played this game, I didn't know what to do. The immense enemy artillery bombardment was so crazy that my Army units weren't able to hold the bridges, plus with enemy tanks, armored units and infantry attacking my defensive positions. My first line of defense was immediately overrun, so my units were forced to fall back to the church to re-strenghen our defense there. The enemy artillery has very much destroyed almost everything.
Trick is to build enough fortifications and place mines in the previous mission before completing the main objectives. The enemy arty always does creeping barrages from first line of defense to the latter, so placing MG nests forward is better than using squads as meat shields for those strikes.
@@lostmusic99 I should've thought of that. Thanks for the tips, next time I will try to place landmines in the previous mission and hopefully the landmines will stay there for the next mission.
For me, having at least 2 elite but badly injured snipers means only using them as cloaked observers and a small team good for hit & run on enemy mortar squads.
What I did here was put a lot of mines at the last mission. Apparently the planted mines are carried into this mission.
2 years later I know, but yeah, missions like this have defenses placed from previous missions carry over

Nice I didn’t get all I just defend the bridges
in my version of the gameplay ( in my one ) i hold the zones behind the bridges and let the enemy armor get close for the AT guns take them out y should place Mgs behind the bridges ans some infantry in the sandbags

Is it me or does the sharpness level hit the roof?
I do sharpen my videos when i render them as they are only 720p and when they are uploaded on youtube, the video is much more compressed and lower quality. However the sharpness does help to bring out more of the details, else everything would be a little blurrier. The only main negative is that the edges/lines are jagged instead of straight. I turn off anti-aliasing for the same reason. If I was uploading and rendering in a higher resolution and higher bitrate, I would probably not need to add sharpness effects to the videos. Unfortunately I'm not able to upload in higher resolution as it will take me too long to upload.
It seem that you're really good at playing it other gaming videos I watch are really bad.
How i missed this game .i wish it could run in latest windows
I ran this on Windows 10, Steam version with no problems. Not sure about Windows 11 though.
You can try it on mobile !!! One of my best games on phone 😍🙃

That will be sometime in the unknown future. I still have lots more mission in this campaign, along with the other 5 other campaign that are in COH1.

slow hands, I've been playing this game on a old Compaq laptop without its battery the game is lagging and crashing sometimes... but it looks like my gameplay is better than yours
