- Footage of a man correcting a woman’s golf swing is going viral online … the catch is that she’s a professional, and he isn’t.
Georgia Ball is a professional golfer and coach, and she posted a video of the moment a man interrupted her while practicing to give her some unwarranted advice.
He started the conversation by saying “excuse me”, and then he launched into how she wasn’t using the proper technique for her swing.

100% agree. I coach baseball and sometimes we have players doing exercises. People who don't coach will stop over and say, "that is the wrong bat," "that bat is too heavy", "he needs to switch hands," etc. And I am just like go away. We are doing a drill and cross-training a lefty pitcher. If you want to coach, go get certified through the state, go through concussion training, cpr training, etc or go away.

LOL I was soooo rooting for her to hit that shot well when she said, "I knew I had to make this a good one," and then she absolutely hits the ball perfectly and I was like, "Boom! Yeah!!," and then the dude said, "See how much better that was?," and it was the worst possible comment he could have made. He gave himself credit for her perfect shot! Argh....

Definitely arrogant and unsolicited. She handled it so well. But if you think men are the only ones who do this, I'd have to differ. I've had many a woman confidently inform me of something I already know.
Few years ago I was playing pool with one of my male colleagues after work in the local pub (I'm a female and was 30 or 31 at the time, playing pool since I was 12). There was some elderly man sitting nearby, sipping his beer and constantly giving me advices how I supposed to play, hold my cue etc... so after the game I asked him politely to play with me so he can actually show me how it's done... He hesitated but eventually agreed. He managed to pot 1 ball xD
She handled that situation gracefully. So great!

There are many more but the best response is to simply say NO THANKS if you feel uncomfortable. They will initially become shocked and that’s ok. Because they have knowledge doesn’t mean they merit teaching you. Golf can be learned without anyone’s help if you have patience and thru video and practice. I know from my own experience.
Just simply say “No Thanks” and continue with what you’re doing!

The comment was not based on the appeal of the human body in particular instances (a public setting with clothed social norms is certainly different than a beach with different clothing norms).
