    About this video
In this video Zane from Audio Tech TV (formerly Simple Green Tech) looks at how to use Tracktion Waveform Racks to speed up your workflow and make life easier when editing multiple projects. Tracktion Waveform Rack plugins allow you to easily save entire plugin chains with all of the settings of eash plugin within the chain and then you can quickly load that rack onto another track in another project. If you're working on an album or EP and you want to keep your instruments or vocals sounding similar across all of the tracks on the album, using Tracktion Waveform Rack plugins can really help to achieve that.

Ah...the fog of racks is beginning to clear. I didn't know the purpose of the function, and the last time I tried mucking about with it, it ended up looking like an inexpertly wired bomb (and didn't even make any sound). I never thought of approaching it as if it was tangible. Thanks for the explanation and demonstration - this will be useful if I create a guitar sound I'm happy with and want to replicate it. Btw, background record sleeves = 0. One day I'll get a full house. 😀

Iv been trying to get my sounds and channels open up if you will. Il try and articulate. So for example slowly turn filters etc to open up say volume or like an acid bassline. I assume you use the racks? As I'm struggling to find this function.

This also seems the ''only'' way to use kontact instruments in Waveform.Without it kontact won't properly load each instrument-odd.Unless I'm missing something as I'm very new to Waveform 12 free.

It looks like patcher, but i hope it has UI that Customize Macro, so Waveform got more powerful as patcher from FL

In Reaper, all I have to do to set up a drum program such as Addictive 2 is right click on an open field and choose "Open virtual instrument in new track." It'll ask me if I want to route the different channels in Addictive to separate tracks in Reaper. Doesn't take even 10 seconds. Waveform's way of doing it is pretty horse and buggy if you ask me.

Racks allows you to do things like parallel signal processing and has way more applications than just opening a multiple output vst. Try and be awake and see things out of the box.
