i'd appreciate if u made a video on the whole series panathinaikos- maccabi to see if its fair to have all these complains or no, instead of focus on the last game of the series, I believe the series would be over with the last match istead of having to go game 5. Would be more "healthy" and less one sided

Indeed in one game we got the better calls. No denying that. But the free throws argument is ridiculous, they sent lessor there on purpose and during the entire series, PAO has a avoided fouls in the 1Q especially.

Let's do math takeaway Lessorts *14* free throws. You have 21 without any free throws from Lessort to 10 of maccabi and 3 techs on maccabi called for no apparent reason, including one during 4th quarter shifting momentum...

John got a tech from falling because of a lessort screen who is 3 times his size so I guess you can't fall when running into screen, another one was a random bench tech I guess someone stood up for a second so we give Pana a point, and Kattash angrily walked down and back his coach area after a bad call instead of I guess confronting the refs like Pana who didn't get punished for the entire 5 games not a single tech for that but kattash gets one where instead of expressing his anger at a ref he lifted his arms. In the fourth quarter where every single point matters. Refs in general did horrible the entire series for both sides, but it was clear since game 1 that the refs would rather randomly blow their whistle at maccabi.
The problem is not with the fouls against Maccabi, the problem was with the fouls not called for PAO. This is what they talk about in the full version of the video and they are right.

Pao fans are the saddest clowns the euroleague has seen. Refs were with them all 5 games no question, and they somehow cherry picked a few errors that went against them here and there to cry otherwise. Keep cheering for players like sloukas who literally piss on you just like he did on all of oly fans. Its hilarious to watch your circus show

Congrats both Pana and Maccabi. As a Fener fan, i really know very well coach Ataman and this is a feature of his game plan. His guards drives always into the paint and also he has lessort who is a monster. I dont like coach Ergin Ataman but i have to respect him and Pana fans. They were great and deserved to win.

Don't think Ataman has game plans tbh, he was lucky that Baldwin got injured in game 2. Otherwise this series would have ended 3:1 for Maccabil.

The key point in this whole video is him say "all the other errors THAT I SAW".. You probably only watched the errors against Maccabi my friend. Cause Panathinaikos didn't have to face only those 2 errors.
Mitoglou in the 2nd half defensive foul was a joke, same as Kendrick's Nunn foul when he block Nebo.
The offensive foul of Lessort instead of defensive foul against him by Lorenzo Brown 2 seconds earlier!! 43-43 the score.
Lessort made at least 2 baskets where he was fouled and didn't get the +1. At 4th quarter one at 73-67 by Cohen and another one when the score became 75-67 by Nebo.
Defensive foul on Papapetrou on Nebo when he tried to grab an offensive rebound! A joke of a call. You can clearly see that Papapetrou does not push Nebo and he makes a theatrical move when he loses the trajectory of the ball!!!
Unsportsmanlike foul on Lessort was given after video review and not live.
Unsportsmanlike foul on Lorenzo Brown because he hit Grant in the face with the Shoulder NOT GIVEN!
3rd quarter 2 minutes before the end of quarter, Rivero pushed Antetokounmpo for the rebound and was not given
Elbow in the face of Antetokounmpo is unsportsmanlike foul even if you didn't want to hit him.

Ataman got 30k penalty for pointing out bad calls in the first game...Giannakopoulos was punished with the same amount of money for commenting officiating mistakes on his instagram account...will Kattash get punished or the rules are applied only against Panathinaikos?
The only calls which decided the game in this series were from game 1.
these "bad calls" proved that Ataman is unaware of the game's rules.
What about Mitoglou's offensive foul on webb in second quarter that it was defensive foul???
Maybe some fouls that was given to panathinaikos wasn't actually but there was errors both ways all the series.Maccabi players were playing hard defense all the series and when pana did it in the second halftime they complained about the referee calls.
They called offensive foul on the next play to correct that one.
Listen, I'm an Israeli Maccabi fan, many will think that I think the referees deprived us, but my conclusion from the game is that these referees are simply not good.
There were many fouls that I think were not whistled for Maccabi but also many whistles such as Coulson's steps that were not whistled in favor of Pau
And I will add and say that if these referees judge one of the games in the Final Four, it will be a great shame for the Euroleague, these referees

The free throws argument is silly. Maccabi tried to send to free throws Lessor in order to avoid the buckets. It was a strategic decision by Maccabi. They knew Panathinaikos except Nunn and Sloukas are bad free throwing team

If you make such a youtube video assessing referee impact you are expected to keep neutrality with neutral commentators.Come on.He is an Israel citizen with a lot of background in Israel including education and work experiences there.Prior to this game almost a political conflict was emerging and an in some context maybe already emerged. Tell mister ex ref to put some glasses, in the 4thQ Nunn drive he was tackled, no call, hit with elbow from brown, no call, and many others. For the first time refs called most of the hits maccabi players repeatedly do (all the year play the same dirty way), and for some insane reason pao was benefited, ok good, have a nice day....

Well, each team complained about the officiating after the games they thought that they were robbed. Games 1 and 3 it was Panathinaikos, and game 5 it was Maccabi. I don't see why the players and coach of Maccabi would complain about the officiating in the previous games of the series. I mean, what was there to complain about?

If you think that they were wrong about these calls, or If you think that the same happened in games 2 and 4 in favor of PAO, you're free to show us these unjust calls. There were more than two errors against Panathinaikos, including a goal foul on Lessort he never mentions. A couple of questions for you guys at BasketNews; why are you not looking at the whole series and only this game? Also, why don't you ask a neutral referee about his opinion on this game and not a person associated with Israel and Maccabi? It's a poor attempt to take away from Panathinaiko's victory, especially when looking at the whole series. It seems like Israeli propaganda has no limits.

througout the whole series, there was 1 serious mistake against panathinaikos, the out-of-bounds. The fuss on game 1 was a pure display of clownery by panathinaikos organisation as a whole.
As a maccabi fans i admit maccabi didn't played well and pao won not because of the referees. Pao is a strong team and if we take out all the unnecessary things that have been said by pao there's a mutual respect between the teams. Im really proud of maccabi this season, the fans are a huge part of the club and wade Baldwin as well and they gave their heart's

There was a defensive foul on Mitoglou, which the refs turned it to jump-all. Two or three times, they fouled Lessort really hard without calling unsportsmanlike foul. They called a defensive foul on Juancho without even touching Rivero. In general, Maccabi played more physically than Pana, and for the first time in this series, refs tried to call whatever they were able to see.

Are you serious? after such a victory you come out with a referee to discuss the calls? Maccabi scored the 4Q, TWO points in seven minutes. Didnt see bringing up any referees to discuss calls when they were against PAO. We get you dont like PAO but a little professionalism would be nice

I am a both PAO and Maccabi supporter !!! I like both teams and the way they play and have been playing since the 70's - 80s.
Both are great organizations that deserve respect above all.
According to my opinion and after watching all 5 playoff games..... PAO should have advanced by 3-1 instead of 3-2.

There is a difference though when complaining about referees, which is crucial when talking about them.
Game 1 and game 3 that Panathinaikos has serious complains and that's why made official statements, was ended by 2 points difference, meaning that referee calls can greatly change the winner.
Maccabi yesterday lost with 10 points, while Pana missed 14 free throws, meaning it was in reality a 15+ point game difference.
Saying that a 15+ game difference was decided by referees, when in game1 and game3, which ended up in 2 points everything was going just fine in refereeing for Katash (which we truly respect as former amazing player and coach in us) and Maccabi fans is completely biased and out of reality.

He claims that out of the 12 errors , only 2 were to the benefit of Macabi, and he clearly mentions which two, the travelling call that the refs missed and the basket interference by Nebo. So what about the 10 remaining errors that were supposedly to the benefit of PAO? He did not even mention one, he should be more specific, either specify those 10 errors or shut up mister...

Fouls were 17-23.Only 6 more for Maccabi is a big compliment they way they wanted to foul.
Even Antetokoumpo played 2 min and hit 4 frees on purpose because they didnt want to get dunked by him or Lessort that would make Oaka erupt.
Refs tried to help Maccabi as always with the team that tries to make 60 fouls.
No clear flagrant calls on Lessort trying to dunk or Brown elbowing Grant. Wth? Nada.
Because it was essential Maccabi strategy, them calling after the ft difference is pretty hypocrite.
PS. Lessort when taking the ball face to the rim at 4 meters is a beast. Cant be stopped on his way in.
Kendrick Nunn had TWO CLEAR BLOCKS on the Maccabi Bigs (embarrassing Blocks btw 😅) & the refs called them as Fouls 🤡🤣

The Euroleague took 2 referees Difallah and Belosevic who had made the mistake of calling the Olympiacos game and placed them in Panathinaikos- macabi to be in 2 games which has never happened before.Also i don't remember before to give 3 technical fouls in game 5.

When panathinaikos will be benefit from Euroleague referees in the next 10 (at least) years then we will give the chance to talk about officiating in Euroleague 😘
The fact that we had game 5 is due to refs help on Maccabi. Maccabi players in game 5 played WWE and UFC and not basketball.

This is borderline clickbait. I know that being controversial brings views, especially since a lot of the subscribers are Greek, but you don't have to employ such tactics. First of all, it is ridiculous for Maccabi to complain about free throws since they intentionally played hack-a-Lessort. Secondly, we should be looking at the whole picture of the series and lastly Maccabi should not be participating in the Euroleague in the first place.

You saw only 2 for maccabi ? Two bad non calls ? I saw the 8” violation , the first unsportsmanlike foul on lessort ( cleveland did not let him score extended holding down his hands ) 2 very soft fouls by even touching players one on kalaitzakis and one on papetrou on cohen by just touching not holding not pushing plus the two non calls you mentioned ! The referees were playing 60-40 and thats fair for home game !

Thank you guys for exposing Panathinaikos' positive handling from the refs this year to the European crowd. They still dont play good basketball, they are allowed to play dirty on defence and maintain good passive numbers despite their bad defenders (ie sloukas grigonis mitoglou pessort), and they disrespect and threaten the organisation to aid them towards the final 4 and the title.

Maccabi's only defensive tactic other than good zone, was to foul under the basket. They did it all games, this time they got punished as they should have been on previous games, PAO was clean defensively and Nuun did his thing in offence.
Not sure what you experts are on about? Maccabi got destroyed last quarter on every match, because of the fouls that they do under the basket.

I am Panathinaikos and i was not at all happy about the qualification with the noise for refereeing. I have lived in 6 Euroleagues and Panathinaikos had a big problem with the referees, even Zeliko Obradovic was not respected by the referees when he was a Coach. Now i hear that Panathinaikos is favored by the referees in the Euroleague.
After listening this I ve just googled this ref guy name with word 'jewish' and results did not surprise me... LOL
I didn't see any analyzing episode about panathinaikos complaints in the other 4 games.maybe katas wanted to play the hole series as a restling team...we won because we made big shots in the fourth quarter and even the free throws didn't make the diffirence on the final score...

When playoffs are 2:2 always the home team win the final match. We can see clearly why.
As a pao fan, the calls favored us in this game but it was the first time in the series that this happened, so I don't get Maccabi fans complain. Also we had 35 attempted free throws because they made leesort shoot 15.

classical ataman tactics. when he's not capable to change the game on the court, he use outside. he talked about referees after the first loss and basically he manipulated the officiates and euroleague. he and his community(galatasaray) use this everywhere and unfortunately they got success about that almost every time. also he is so famous about using cathine in his teams too. zero ethics.

Let's keep it real, refs were 10 times more hostile towards Fener against Monaco than they were against PAO. PAO really exaggerated in a silly and unsportsmanlike way and in game 5 they definitely had the benefit. Plus come on, your opponent is a 7th seed, doesn't have homecourt and their best player, you benefit from the refs in game 5 and still cry? You act like little boys sometimes, act like men.

If there were dozen of errors and u shiw only the ones in maccabis favor that were obvious without even the need of replay for a normal fan show us the so obvious errors in favour of pao. I dont understand why u pretend abd try to protect the corruption behind euroleague controversial referees. Mistakes may happen since the refs are human but when you dont see what everyone else does, when the ref with proper angle is being corrected by the one who cant see clear , when they check on replay and still make wrong decision these are cases that show who is getting boosted by euroleague and who doesn't. This is pao 39th game this year if you take play by play all games i doubt you will find more than 3 games that pao had more wrong calls in his favor and still managed to reach f4 as 2nd. So cry more and go on

Hopefully this is a retired referee. He speaks about dozens of errors benefiting Panathinaikos but you only show two plays with errors benefiting Maccabi. This is a joke. And it is obvious that Maccabi’s strategy during the series was in every game to make fouls for almost 50% of the 2point total attempts of Pana with the chance to receive 1/2 or 0/2 points instead of 2 clear points. Lessort was defended so many times in the limits of unsportsmanlike. 123 FT ( 66.6% average scored FT) for Pana and 78 FT (75.62% average scored FT) for Maccabi. This means 82 points for Pana and 60 points for Maccabi. Which means 4.4 points FT points difference per game. So, if there is any cell of common sense in your little brains, out these series Pana’s benefit was 4.4 points but Maccabi’s benefit was shutting down the rhythm inside the racket in all fives games for Pana. And the points they would have received without doing all these fouls would be much more than 4.4 points per game. Great strategy from Maccabi. But please. Stop talking about benefits in this basketball channel. You are turning yourselves into comedy channel. Amatuers!
