Happy for Ibaka. He was quickly discarded in the NBA but he's been an excellent roleplayer, one of the best in recent times. You need players like him in any team
His back went out, he wasn’t discarded
I don't think he was discarded. He had a pretty solid and enduring career, but at his age the way the NBA has evolved and with a young breed coming up, there was really no good fit for him to get meaningful playing time.
As a magic fan.. ef that dude
Bro had an NBA Championship. He’s all good.
Many factors involved in signing aging veterans and salary and injuries are major factors. As of 2023 the nba league minimum for 10+ year, injury prone is 3.1 mil vs a 1 year player, no significant injury player is 1.8 mil. Then breaking down cost per game and averaging the player games per year, etc. So yes not signing Ibaka is justifiable. It’s a business.
"stats don't tell much, but I will only give you the stats"
Ok, got me here lol
Kemba in Europe is just vibes and vacation. Gotta respect it. Making a milly to chill in monaco and play some hoops on the side
True but Kemba has been injured as well still. Monaco not rushing him and having get back to shape. They also are very guard heavy so he is not pressured to play every game. Mike James is that guy for them.
clown was always smiling never had the killer instincnt big time loser in my opinion i donbt a crap how much thst clown has he can choke on it
Juancho's season is surely underwhelming but he has become a very important piece for PAO. Very good defender, rebounder and off-ball movement generating stops and energy for the team. His absence shows in the maccabi series where PAO desperately needs a back-up for Mitoglou
Yeah, like I said in one of the comments previously, it’s more about the salary-impact ratio
Pana wanted to build a strong team. They chose Juancho as their front line forward, and they had to pay him to come to Athens.
Mitoglou would be his backup since he hadn't played at all since March 2022, and he would need some time to get in shape.
What happened was the exact opposite. Mitoglou outperformed Juancho, especially on the first half of the season. Then Juancho had some minor injuries that kept him in pits for a couple of months, and he never managed to earn Ataman's trust.
I believe that when he signed, he justified his salary.
So, the issue of his performance to salary ratio comes from the unexpected performance from Mitoglou.
So, regarding his future in Pana, unfortunately, I don't think it will work. As a Pana fan, I would really love to watch him leading and carrying the team when needed. I believe it would be better for both the player and the team to leave next summer.
Man as a Pao fan we expected a lot from Hernangomez. Then he was quite underwhelming but he still had some good performances. He was troubled by some injuries.
Since mid February he has started to play very well defensively, he has been grabbing all rebounds, both offensive and defensive.
Now he is sick and he missed the two games in Belgrade but I hope he recovers quickly and he is well for game 5 because his absence really effects the team badly
Juancho might not be scoring a lot but he is doing all the ''dirty work'' on the court. Rebounds, blocks, really good defence, steals etc.
That’s true, the only question is if you’re willing to pay 2.25 million for a glue guy
@@BasketNews_com yep also true, personally I love Juancho as a player and as a person, I think he ll step it up.
@@BasketNews_comwell is not just a player but also a very popular Actor 😂😂
Juancho getting the most random injuries just left him out way too much ...he may was not getting the numbers to saw in stats but he is having the best defensive rtg from those that actually play regularly and one of the best netrtg in pao
Love to see people, having continued success in the game. Particularly enjoy seeing Serge Ibaka at it still.
The biggest transfer from NBA to Europe this year was Kevin Porter Jr who plays for PAOK Thessaloniki, not a EuroLeague team.
Whats your feedback on him bro?
@@alexandreazevedo9906 Really good all-around player. He should be in the NBA. But if he decides to stay in Europe he definitely deserves to play in a top-4 Euroleage team.
Not a transfer, he just signed for 4 games
@@antoinecringemann didnt knew that
Hey . I really enjoy this video. I like basketball and haven’t heard or seen some of these players but thank for sharing this video with us. I really enjoy stats being posted up
Bro , where ayou from? Nice nsuper nice content! subbed
Kemba Walker will forever always be my favorite NBA player
Bruh when I saw Kemba’s highlights and then his stats, I was like damn was that clips of his ENTIRE season??
Hey man honest question. How do you feel about Gilbert Arenas saying that the NBA is soft cause of the Euros. To me he is an idiot. Actually the euro game is more of what i grew up on . Physical, post play and defense. Totally different then what we have now. The playoffs have been better, allowing the players to play. But in general it's shit through the regular season.
100% agree, when I have sleep trouble, regular season is the best for find a good night, it's clearly so boring.
Man juancho in the playoffs is a joy to watch he is just grabbing all rebounds. Kendrick Nunn is just INSANE words are not enough to explain him
Next season more nba players are coming
I'm not surprised Ibaka is doing well. During recovery he was getting 20pt games in the GLeague
Thank you 🙏🏼
Good to catch up with some former NBA talent. Those knee injuries are tough too bad Kemba seems to be done.
Is there a website that follows these NBA to EuroLeague or vice versa transactions? I’d love to keep up with this kind of stuff!
If you want to look at the statistics, the euroleague has its own application.
Go to a stream site and watch the Euroleague
Nunn is doing great. He just signed a 3 mil a year contract with Panathinikos
It's tough in Europe. Smaller court, defense is like NBA was in the 90's. In Europe it's hard to sverage 25 points
Please keep giving the Euro Baller Alert homie. More B Ball More Fun for everyone
Is there a stat that helps us know if they're being impactful in the Euroleague? I know plus/minus isn't always great but just to have an idea.
I would say efficiency rating
Although even that is a bit overrated. I think +- combined with an eye test tbh
1:40 Euroleague stats aren't exactly lower but we play more defense
What about Bruno Caboclo? He came to the EL mid-season, but he played pretty well.
He played in Europe before coming to Partizan. This video is only about those who went from NBA directly to the EuroLeague.
Jerian Grant, Nikola Mirotic, Shabazz Napier
Can you explain how the stats are compared to nba. For example 15 Pt in Euro league are like 20 pt in NBa ?
More like 25. NBA teams are scoring 100-120 almost each game. In Euroleague it's ok if the teams scores between 60 and 70 points.
What finals mvp got to do wit it?!
So iggy #1 option now?
Kemba out here just trying to semi retire and live in Europe 😂 leave my man alone
No hate but the thing i noticed is that NBA is all about hype and individual skills type of play from their star players that's what they usually run to their game and some coaches and stuff go along with it. But in Euroleague its a team game the passing, team defense, high chemistry and most importantly the coaches & staffs there are highly respected by the players and the fans too. Just saying. 😊
" usually run to their game and some coaches and stuff go along with it. " Huh?
I agree some teams are like that and those teams are usually unsuccessful in the playoffs. The teams that have great teamwork (twolves, nuggets, etc) are playing great and will probably win the chip
Casual take thinking that coach in nba doesnt matter in playoffs nba teams prapare way more for single game than euroleague team
@@nesakysiu12 Nba first and foremost is a business. Coaches are well aware of that. Once a certain player has reached certain caliber they must get their stats because they are an Nba product.
@@Zollay32doc rivers. Players coach but when his players can’t perform he freezes
We want more videos for Euroleague
Kendrick Nunn just renewed his contract with Panathinaikos
Man comparing players only by stats is crazy. For example Willy has very good stats in offense but he is a huge liability and has definitely much less impact than vesely with similar numbers.
Porter is trying to get his shit together. Hopefully he will be allowed back in the NBA or stay in Europe and play for a top tier team in the Euroleague.
Serge has been balling out , I'm from Argentina so I was looking out for my fellow being the PG for Bayern
What about Kevin Porter Jr? Hes he still kicking and punching? 😂
he doesn't play for a EuroLeague team
@@dimitrisapostolou5355 true, PAOK isnt there...your name seems greek...any feedback from KPjr?
@@alexandreazevedo9906 hes playing solid so far even though he played only few games, his team finished top 8 in greece and they go to playoffs, and they will actually play against a euroleague team there. we will see how he will play then. so far hes a very possitive add for his team.
@@alexandreazevedo9906 he had some very impressive games in the greek league but it was against the bottom half of the teams paok will be paired against panathinaikos in the playoffs of the league so we will see what he is capable of
Can Nan and Kevin play together next year?
Update: NUNN signed a two-year extention with PANATHINAIKOS
Moses wright?
Mike James is prbably the best American in Europe
Kendrick Nunn is the best he dominate at playoffs 5 games 96 points 🔥🔥🔥
Kannan is doing good for Olympiakos
What about Javonte Smart?
Wright from olympiakos??
Wright didn’t come straight from the NBA 🤷♂️
Petrusev with only 3 games on NBA?
@@tzouas1989almost like he never left 😅
Juancho: Panathinaikos' Actor
At last someone saying it
Serge is still a good player, idk why teams are passing on him in the NBA
I think they offered him contracts, he just didn’t wanna be playing 10-15 minutes a game and be out of the rotation in the playoffs
You clearly didn’t watch him on the nba.
Hezonja?
Non - Euroleague, ex NBA player, Kevin Porter Jr is having a great basketball comeback here, in Greece
BYern munich did't miss the playoffs, they got kicked out of it.
Kemba Walker woke up one day and forgot how to play basketball
No, his knees are just done. Plain and simple.
Bayern Munich is first, not outside playoffs
Kendrick nunn will get another chance in the nba
Only Ibaka and Nunn normal, another players are trash 🗑️
Kemba Walker just fell off the face of the earth
Stay out the NBA. If you weren’t fully committed to the NBA in first place, you had no business in this League and weren’t ready for the lifestyle it comes with. Waste of time and money. Don’t come back. Stay overseas and let the real ballers hoop.
The NBA is overrated...The NBA is become a 3 pts contest in first intention and individual's play without teammates !
Basket "champagne" with no defense !
Euro League, more like Rehab or retirement League for all of these Ex NBA players.
In some ways yeah, just like MLS is the retirement league for Champions League players.
Tho I would say the talent difference is much greater in football than in basketball.
@@dismantledbrain5910difference is the 40 year old players destroy in the mls like literlly break all the records while these nba players are mostly average
@@dismantledbrain5910 If we're comparing by strength Euroleague in basketball would be like Copa Libertadores, although not many semi retired players go from Europe to South America
@@philipmeisterlWhich players?
@@jamespohl-md2eq messi suarez ibra rooney henry beckham beckenbauer…
Speak English
NBA is a soft league look at the mvp candidates no Americans
So how do you explain the last 5 years of the nba? All non Americans.
@@TheBrandonGrose what are you stupid? At least look at the last 2 mvps look who is in contention this year and look at the defensive player and rookie of the year where do they come from not american champ.
Not surprised, Kemba Walker was always an overrated player
How was he overrated? After he injured his knee in Boston, he was never the same.
Americans are dominating this slow motion and poor quality league
Not really. But europeans dominate the non phyisical and non skilled nba!
And in the NBA none of the top 3 on MVP race is american😂
@@volkarach0293 Europe is not a country, there are some good players you can find in some specific countries in the old continent but that's it, Americans have always been the best players in the whole world
@@alexandrepedroso6705 Right, one from Serbia, one from Slovenia, one from Canada, one from Cameroon. Then all americans 😂😂 aside from Canada the rest of the countries can't get 3 top players. Team USA can build 10 different rosters full of talents, no other country can do that
Scrubs taking euro players deserved spots.
