  • In this week's video, Trevor goes through an initial review and thoughts on the Daeodon Front Panel from Esstac. The Daeodon front panel, in 5.56 in this video, is a chest mount magazine carrier designed to snap and velcro onto the front of a plate carrier. Although it was originally designed for Esstac's own Daeodon Plate Carrier, the Daeodon Front Panel is a solid choice for many other plate carriers on the market. Serving the same purpose as a placard or shingle, the Daeodon Front panel is a great way to outfit the front of your plate carrier to carry additional ammo and provide mounting options for additional gear via MOLLE attachments. This product from Esstac also features their signature KYWI design, a kydex-nylon hybrid retention system, that is a fantastic option for mag pouches. Check out our video for a detailed first look at this offering from Esstac, we hope you enjoy!

    When looking at these I found trex arms makes one with Esstac that has a Velcro front so in theory (Don’t quote me) you could use it as a placard base for the defense mechanisms placard pouches. So fun things

    Do you happen to know if this will fit in the spiritus system LV 119 pc? The two clips in particular. I know the clips on the lv119 are 1” as well but not sure if they are spaced 6” like these per the description. Mahalo🤙🏽

    Nice pickup. How's it holding up so far? Also, are the male buckles that come on the Daeodon field repair/can they be removed and swapped for G-hooks? Thanks!

      Holding up great, super solid item.
      The clips that come with it are stitched in so they would have to be broken or snapped off to remove them by the looks of it.

    Love the Multicam Black! You have a video on increasing retention?

    • @RangeDay

      We do have a video and a short on adjusting the retention! It’s a matter of bending the kydex one way or the other with some heat. Check it out on the channel!

    Damn, my k19 is 7.5” (maybe even 7 5/8”) center to center. At least where the buckles would go. Mine didn’t come with them but it is the new version with a spot for swift clips

      Atleast you measured before you buy, gotta make sure it all fits

      It will fit just fine. I just installed the 7.62 Daeodon front panel on my Version 3 K19 from Agilite, and it is great. I have no doubt the 5.56 version will also fit.

    Do the come with different buckle options if you don’t have clips

    • @RangeDay
      @RangeDay  Před 4 měsíci

      They don’t come with different buckle/clip options from Esstac. You would need to find them from aftermarket.

    Has anyone use the Esstac with ferro slickster?

    • @RangeDay
      @RangeDay  Před 11 měsíci +1

      We have not had any experience with that combo. As long as the clips are spaced right it should work great.

      @@RangeDay I got it in and it works great!

    There is only ONE camo pattern, and that pattern is M81 WOODLAND (knifehand)! Ask God...He agrees 👍.
    Multicam black is only good for LARPing with NODs 🤨.

    All that Velcro surely will wear out eventually.

    • @RangeDay

      Such is true with most items. Proper maintenance and care will help get the most life out of each piece of gear though.
