- In this video I take an overview and run through the functions of the Yamaha SY35 synthesizer.
I also created an accompanying track, which just uses sounds from the SY35 (plus a vocal sample). The majority of effects are from the SY35 too. I have added compression and EQ, as well as doing a basic mastering job.
Let me know what you think of the synth in comments. I've been pleasantly surprised by it! I'll get into programming in the next video.

the lack of filter seems disappointing on the surface but i can see how fading into a smoother FM wave would be a way around this
I initially bought it just to try out and then instantly decided to keep it.
I see some similarities between this and my Kawai K1. Mostly in UX department.

Hello, do you happen to know how to connect this board to a DAW and use as midi controller. I have a midi to usb converter/ interface and while the pc installs the driver for the converter, I can't seem to have the keboard playing at all. The midi in/out cables are connected based on the instructions.

I'm not sure what you're asking here. If you want cards, you'll need to look at ebay or some other site.
