This is part 26 of my ongoing Porsche 924 Restoration. In this one I'm rebuilding and restoring my Ignition Distributor. It was working before I took it of the car but decided to replace a few parts and add the missing seal for this rebuild. If you're doing the same job, make sure NOT TO LOOSE small dowel pin you see me fiddle with in a video... My tip is to keep it on the magnet always.

Another great restoration piece! Hope you will be able to start assembling soon.
Thank you! Should start on engine assembly very soon, After that is body work.
Thanks - my vacuum advance is broken and this is a perfect disassembly tutorial. Not sure it’ll look this good going back together tho 😂
Glad it helped! Important thing is that is working again!
Nice video as always! I really love the paint job, it looks totally new!
Thank you, appreciate it!

Happy to be of service @@RestorationApprentice.
Wow wow wow! Great progress! Where do you come from? I‘ve completed my 924 resto last year but not such a nice one as you are doing. Greetings from Hamburg/Germany
Thank you, Kilian! I'm from Bosnia & Herzegovina.
The pin on the gear is it pressed in ?
I think it is.
Do you know if these pickup coils are available as a replacement?
Yes, but it looks like they are currently out of stock. PArt number FACET 8.2653
@@RestorationApprentice That is fantastic information. Thank you kindly for taking the time to reply. Yours is the only video I've found doing these particular distributors. The problem with these coils when they go bad is intermittent loss of spark.
What is the machine at 3:50 that you use to wash the parts
Ultrasonic cleaner.
@@RestorationApprentice neat thank you
