Mike, that will be one more super nice mini cabin. I can used one about like that and I know that I can spend hours on end watching wildlife and taking a photo or two and sit back, relax and enjoy a fresh hot cup of coffee and a donut or two. I enjoy seeing my buddy Hunter. I may go get a chicken sandwich Monday after I get off work. Oh yeah, I work at UHAUL only part time but it's nice.
Mike, also Monday the 14th is my Birthday! I turn a big 60. Man, i'm climbing up that ladder quicker than I thought. 60 years here on earth. God granted me another year to spend on earth and in the outdoors. I love the outdoors and I love life. 60. I still can't believe that I'm there. Wow!
God bless all the Morgan Family

I love seeing people doing well. People succeeding are happier and fun to be around. I feed off that! I like to surround myself with folks like that (if I can).
I do agree however there are folks that are miserable when others are doing well. ..I have been on the other end of those kind of peoples misery.
If your not careful they try and rub negativity off on you. They can be sneaky doing it.

Mike, I have enjoyed watching your videos these past few months. Quick tip, most chop saw decks are 3 1/2 inches tall so a couple 2x4 scraps on end would help hold one end up for you if you are working off your table again in the future.

Mike you should check out the Dewalt heavy duty miter saw stand for $200 dollars. It folds up, is 5.5 feet wide and extends to 16 feet, comes with two mounting brackets that attach to the saw so the saw just snaps on and off with ease. It comes with two narrow work stop supports for the ends, however you can buy wider ones and also roller ends as well. You can also purchase additional mounting brackets for other tools and use the stand with them as well. I have this and love it.

I also think the windows of the cabin are the right hight. When hunting, you can shoot off-hand with a rest on the sill. If you like to shoot prone, you'd have to have the windows on the floor and that wouldn't be weird at all. :) Like you, I love success stories. I especially like watching people that are really good at what they do but also have a great appreciation for those who, in spite of all obstacles, get it done.

Didn't read all the comments, so sorry if this was already suggested--to fix the unbalanced load, just lift it until you like the dispersement then drop it back down and hit the road. Could actually help you out to start with it a bit too forward if you aren't sure where you want it initially. Not so good if it starts too far back. Hi, Hunter Morgan! Good to see you helping out your dad!

Having built a similar mini cabin - with significantly longer legs - we had the same debate about window height. We ended up recutting and reframing the windows significantly taller. After the first generation, the wildlife thought it was just another tree and ignored it. Tremendous field of view.

Hmm that Sunshine is ok, ican't hold a candle to Ms Melissa's smile. It is pure sunshine day or night, rain or shine, year round. That solar stuff is ok, and can be useful when if feels like showing up for work. It is damn unreliable in a pinch. As an Aspie, I tend to link things to songs. I think of something, and my inner DJ pops up a song or chorus keyed to it. Today the song " There Ain't Sunshine when She's Gone " , was backing track for the above lines. Just in case anyone was wondering. "Aspies" are those once labeled with Asperger's Syndrome, named after the German doctor who detected it in the 1940's. Now we are just more fish in the sea of the Autistic Spectrum. We tend to be verbally and logically oriented. We tend to not receive nonverbal cues, such as body language and facial expressions. We also may need clearer than ordinary verbal cues. Yes there are people who think like Spock or Data from Star Trek. One of the Analysts in the series "Criminal Minds" seem to be an Aspie. His logic is great, but his social understanding is much rougher As a very verbal autistic, I shall draw back the curtain on our nature. I recommend TheAnMish a Danish CZcamsr's channel, among others, for more information. She has been producing videos for 9years and was allowed to train and work at a renown Australian clinic. Another very impressive young lady.
I wonder how Hunter, a fellow Autistic, reacts to music? Our brains perceive and process things differently than most . Most people with classic brain functions are called neurotypicals. Autistics of all sorts, and there are many kinds, do not think or react in typical ways. Dr Temple Grandin did not talk until she as Three and a half years old. Very early and special training helped her speak and react in more neurotypical ways. She also invented devices to calm and comfort Autistics, like herself. They inspired from devices to handle farm animals. She has used her autistic instincts to check and guide plans for livestock pens and fencing. She knows want livestock would find threatening or react badly to. It is very special genius to create design which are effective and non threatening to animals which see things much differently than humans. Other Autistics can simulate mechanical designs in their heads. They " bench run" designs using only their skiled brains. Israelis have an autistic intelligence unit. We tend to be pattern sensitive, detecting things others may miss. This pattern sensitivity can be used in cryptography and other intelligence sifting. BTW, Hunter may not speak, but it is quite certain, He thinks and feels, just differently than most. I have seen firework stacked beautifully. With Hunters eye for detail, his bagged firework may be a thing of beauty. I look forward to it. God Bless you all.

Good morning Mike, good video, enjoyed it with a hot cup of coffee and a cool frosty morning here in Arkansas. 95 deg. Last week, 30 deg this morning. Crazy!

Yup, the battery struggle is real. 6pm yesterday both my impact batteries were dead. Put an end to boarding the mill roof.

Star bit screws! I fought with those Philips for years, never again..... Mike try the star bit screws.... One more quick thing... I was shown by an old man a cheater way.... I make two cheater 2x4s, for 16" on center... throw them between each stud your installing ... A person on one end and you on the other .... two cheater 2x4s..... makes it very fast and there all exact... a just think no lines, no measuring,,, except for windows and doors..... You do great work and I'm not trying to be a jerk... Just tricks I like to pass on so you can do more work faster! Lol

That's looking good. I feel the same way now. If I get one fine, if I don't fine. I have a couple of videos where the deer came up to see what I was doing.

I understand your rationale on the window placement but I would have thought you would place them so that when you’re standing up, you can look out comfortably. Watching your end monologue you were swapping back and forth to see the camera......now imagine being in the woods looking out with wall coverings in place; you would need to be hunched over to look straight out. If nothing else make them slightly taller....or move them up 6 inches but hey, its your cabin, build it as you wish. It was just a thought. I do enjoy following the progress and it looks great. I also like you building it at the house and carrying it out; much more “controlled conditions” and all tools are handily avail if needed. KEEP IT UP1
