    Love to see u guys r hard at it. I been saving up for compounds on my 2nd gen 12 valve. But in lu of Oxford high shooting where we live have given all we can to support the families of the victims (Go Wild cats) pray for them they need it !!

    I would just knock the plug in the pan it won't hurt anything be better than metal shavings falling in there. Very nice video good job guys!

      the filter’s there for a reason and its gotta go at the filter first then go where its supposed to go

      @@TonytheCarEnthusiast only thing is the filter is after the oil pump, so the shavings go through that first
      you could put a dab of grease in the plug that would catch the shavings though

    Can the exhaust side of the turbo housing and exhaust piping be ceramic coated? Haven't seen anybody doing it and as I am not experienced at all with diesel engines I was just curious

    It's a good idea if you lift the cab, to get the rear freeze plug kit to get coolant flowing better by cylinder 6 also because that's where the cummins has a tendency to have heat issues is typically cylinder 5 and 6 mostly 6 ❤️

    You recommend head studs for this setup? If so which I am sure you will what stud would be sufficient? Adrian

      Yes you'll want studs, I used arp 2000s with a slightly larger compound setup so I'd say they're sufficient for this. Ifg and optitorque also make good studs.

      For sure. I really like the opti torque torque master studs. The arp 2000 are good as well but I had this set very close to 1k hp and I like a better stud at that level.

      Either that or crank it with the injectors unplugged for a minute to get oil pressure to it

    That is my next setup. Right now I have a BD Ironhorse kit on with a 63/78 turbo. Wonder if this kit will work together or if i have to go stock?

      This kit "should" work with any he351 variant of charger.

    I was noticing the truck in the video doesn't have head studs, is it safe to run this setup on a stock fuel truck with stock headstuds?

      no it is not safe to run with out head studs after we finished the video we installed head studs, a 178/208 cam, stage 2 pushrods and 4.5 valve springs. and 30% over DDP injectors.

      No injector needed works great with stock fueling a tuner is highly recommended whether it be custom or at least a smarty so6.

      They work great! You can either use Pac Brake or BD diesel inline

    Drill into that oil drain port sketches me out. Is there any other way to do that. Could you just punch it out and leave it in the bottom of oil pan?

      Have a friend hold a strong pencil magnet to it off to one side as you punch on the opposite side with a small punch. Most of the time the plug will cock sideways in the bore and the magnet just gives it more reason too. Then you can yank it out with a needle nose pliers.

      Another thing you could try is to screw in a sheet metal screw into it, the none self drilling type. Once you do, you could use a slide hammer to yank it out. You may still get a small amount of shavings in the pan but it would be way less than using that drill or a self drilling screw. I would still change the oil when done.

      same kit should be a pretty close fit on a 2nd gen as well, you'd just need the 3rd gen manifold and HE351CW as well
