    You are the best. I was looking for a way to enable the drill through button on multiple selections from visuals, as without conditional setting, the button gets disabled. You naled it. Kudos! I have an elaboration: I wanted to enable multiple selections from all visuals and still get the button work. I added a dummy visual (pie chart, and made it very small like a dot) and created its drill through page (exaclty like the other drill through page) and added in the tooltip for the user if the button is not enabled, click the dot. It worked :)

    Great tip with the drill button. Just implemented it. In the latest visualizations menu it's now called "Text" rather than "Button Text". All works.

    GRRRR..GRRRR...GREAT video as always Bas!
    But you know that we are here to challenge you.
    Is there a way we can move directly from one drill-through page to the other without having to go back to the main page? And of course keeping the selection that drove us to the first drill-through page?That would be super useful.
    Thanks in advance and keep up the grrrrreat work...

    Can you drill trough within a current page? Let say I have a productcategory that I selected and a bar chart that has both productcategory and product subcategory. I want powerBI to automatically zoom in on the subcategory once I select a product category.
    Possible?

    GREAT video. So I have a curveball for you and hope you have some advice. I have a Slicer visual with a list of "VPs". In your example, it would be a list of Manufacturers. For whatever reason, the button does not "Drill Through" when using a slicer visual. My use case is, I dropdown the slicer and select the VP I want to view details or and then click the Button to drill through to the VP details. This button works perfectly if I use a Table visual, but when I use a Slicer dropdown visual, the button will not drill through. Any suggestions?

    How to do drillthrough from one report to another

      Try cross report drill through.

    • @HowtoPowerBI
      @HowtoPowerBI  Před 3 lety +2

      1) Go to options / report settings, allow visuals in this report to use drill through targets from other reports.
      2) Under Drill through, set the Cross-report toggle to On.
      3) The fields you want to pass must exist in both data models (same table name and field name, case sensitive).
