This super smelter is unique and compact. It has 8 furnaces inside working automatically. It is fast and responsive comparing to most other design you found on CZcams. All thanks to the mechanics of using a boat with chest.
Switch the furnaces with smoker or blast furnace to increase the efficiency for certain type of items!

Instead of putting fuel inside the barrel with a hopper minecart, just use a chest minecart! Now this beauty also works on Bedrock!!!

I am really liking your presentation style for these videos. They have an excellent layout with good visuals and "pop outs" to convey the needed information.
Very easy to follow with natural pause points if you want to build along.
Plus you take the time to separate the different stages between Java and Bedrock.
I'm also rather fond of the design aesthetics you employ. If you ever decide to do a "talk-through" of your design principle's, I would be very interested to hear your thoughts and reasonings behind them.
I just discovered this series a few days ago, but I am absolutely loving it! I'd love to see you do an aesthetic automatic bamboo farm!
IF your carts do not stop under the barrel, your building is facing in the wrong direction. Your barrel needs to be exactly the same as in this video. Start your build with the START facing SOUTH.
Mr big pp u r a life saver, i intergated this compact smelter into my kitchen and it looked sick but carts werent stoping so only 3 furances were working, until i saw ur comment. Thanks pal

Sadly, this didn't help me. Mine won't stop under the barrel. I built it in the right direction. It's 1.20.1 in Java. I have no idea what is going on.

Excellent work man. Returning to MC for my once annual playthrough. I really hate having exposed redstone machinations and such for the purposes of farming, and these fit in really nice without seeming out of place.
I love all of your builds! fit the style I like so well. On this one, I threw a haybale under the campfire to increase the smoke travel upwards out of the smokestack.
Now this is exactly what I've been waiting for

On bedrock, if you leave out the last rail on side 1, 2, and 4 (where they try to auto change to the wrong direction), and use 4 carts, 3 levers, it works, but slower. The cart rams the next one a couple times before moving it enough and taking its place

You can also use lava buckets instead of coals for fuel. And combine this with a lava farm, you've got yourself an op smelter and infinite fuel.
Next one to try maybe a Kelp or sugur cane farm, Would be nice to see these farm with your style of builds
Man, I love that you can make farms with them and still have a very beautiful aesthetic. Do you have a bamboo farm model as fuel for an automatic furnace?
I havent looked into the bamboo farm yet. I will make an aesthetic one later and might be able to connect that to a super smelter.

can you make an auto fuel connected to auto smelter design? would be very interesting to see that idea
Have you tried chest minecarts for bedrock? You still have to load them individually, but they wouldn't pull from the smeltables hoppers like a hopper cart does.
🤯 Oh wow... You are right. Instead of putting fuel in the barrel above the hopper minecart, you could just put fuel inside the chest minecart and let it run.

However I have my own version, and tweaked it a bit last night, which doesn't require any minecarts.
Great Stuff. But your fuel minecart method, where one stops while the other goes, I can't replicate in 1.20.2. They just both start whizzing around.
What shader pack are you using? It looks beautiful!
It is BSL Shader with custom setting. Check Stobbles' Ultimate BSL Shader Setting 2023 for details. I didn't follow his water setting.

I dont know why, but only 2 hoppers are picking up the coal, it wont go in the other 6..

Would this work with lava buckets as fuel or would the empty buckets clog the auto mechanism?
The bucket will be picked up by the hopper below. Lava is fine.

I can't get the powered rails to face the right direction... is there something I missed?

I am not using any texture pack. This is BSL shader with custom settings.
i just spent hours trying to get the auto fuel to work only to realies I was supposed to be using hopper minecarts lmao
I tried a few times with the minecarts but they don't want to stop under the barrel. Then not all the furnaces get an equal amount of whatever you put in there and some don't get any at all.
Have you checked the pinned comment? Mine only work if it's in south side. Some says it works on north side.

The hitbox of the boat covers all 8 hoppers so items inside the boat will be distributed evenly to the furnaces below.
The fence is to keep the boat in centre.

what shader do you use
I’ve re-built the building all directions and I still can’t get the hopper to stop under the barrel. I’m playing on 1.20.2, is there something in that update that stops this?

I tested it on 1.20.2 without any mod on single player. It's still working. (South Side)

i’m playing 1.18.2 with friends, so we can’t craft the boat with chest. instead i used a wagon with chest on rails over the hoppers. it works!
