Large farm is usually ugly, and people like to hide it inside a mega build. But I want it to be a building that could fit into your town or village. In the end I am quite happy with the result!

@@georgiadoan8903 I'm guessing that it can be rescaled as needed (because observers and the fact that water "falls") and was just shown like that as a demo.

The design isn't very early survival friendly but I managed to complete it in half a day xd tysm for the alternate designs on bedrock! I love how it looks on my world and it works well too!

The most beautiful mob farm which fits perfectly in most worlds. I love it because it is not one of these technical looking farms which usually spoil the carefully designed MC worlds. Thank you very much for sharing this 😍
This is always the struggle. I often build the technical ones way up in the sky above an ocean or below ground. If it must be above ground I try to build a nice shell around it like they did here. The size of this build is appealing, but I suspect the rates are horrible in survival with the spawn area being so small and at ground level.

Quick note that you can stagger the afk platform not in the same chunk as the spawning platforms, this is because the rate of mob spawning is reduced if there exist blocks higher up. This can sometimes drastically increase production rate

Is there any height requirement to build the afk plateform ?
I built this last night! It was a fun build but I wish you had a design that used fewer hoppers. I'm on a multiplayer server that only lets you have 25 hoppers per chunk! It would also be great if there was a way to turn the killing chamber off and into something I could use a looting sword on and get XP to repair my tools! Overall, this was a great build and I'm glad I made it! Thank you!
Thanks for the feedback and its good to know that some servers ban too many hoppers. Thats something I will consider in future.
One quick solution is to send the mobs into a 3x3 holes so you will need 9 hoppers only.
If you need the xp, it will be much more complicated since you need to use portals to send the mobs to nether and then send them back to overworld next to your afk spot.

Looks great! With a few changes and the Create mod, the top can be a grand clock tower while producing mob drops and exp.
How u make an exp Farm out of it?

Absolutely love your video! I was looking for a mob farm that looks nice and this one is the best looking mob farm. I do have a question…I’m working on modifying this to make it an xp farm. I got the bottom changed to allow for that. What I would love to do is move the on/off switch to the bottom near the entrance if possible. I’ve been trying different things but can’t figure out how to get the redstone up the side to trigger the clock. Any ideas or suggestions?
I have done this in bedrock and it works like a charm! I also did some modifications:
*Used 50 items in the hopper clock
*Alternate water dispenser design
*The tower is 1 block taller because of the dispenser design
*Integrated a sorting system with a quad chest overflow
*Made a mini tower as an AFK spot (23 blocks away from the entrance and 17 blocks tall)

Took me a couple of days but I've just finished building this! 😃 I love how easy it was, and how pretty it is, though it was a bit tricky at times because I didn't have an Elytra or anything to fly with 😆 I'm in bedrock so the alternative was very much appreciated! ❤ the only issue I've had so far is that placing the AFK platform 80 blocks up from the Greenhouse doesn't seem to spawn anything, whilst standing in or near it does so I've had to tinker with the spawn platform height to see what height will make it start working effectively 🤔
Perhaps the mob spawning mechanics in Bedrock is not what I think. The afk platform might be out of simulation distance? I will do some test in future.
@@aJackMinecraft I've found the best results so far is from actually standing in the greenhouse if that is any use, I think I had it about 30 blocks above the roof with almost no yield in about 2 hours before giving up 😆 (I could also fully 100% have messed something up somewhere though! There's also loads of caves in my area so it could be something to do with the location itself? 🤔 But I thought maybe that observation might be useful info? 😮)

i love the builds but they are so hard to follow when building in survival cause you fly the whole time so having to go back and do decor stuff is difficult

Please consider making your builds more survival-friendly. I finished it, but I died probably 40 times falling off the edge while trying to do the details. Would have been fine if we did the details as we went instead of doing the base then adding details at the end.

Sadly, elytra is needed here. The build will be too big of a project and it won't looks good if I have to add water elevator to go up 120+ blocks.
I made a ladder going up the side for the control switch. The afk spot tho I’ll have to wait for an Electra. Thanks for the reply. Appreciate you.
For the controls, you can use vines from one of the corners to the mid frame and then to the top greenhouse. If you don't want to climb to the top afk, you can use a nether portal to get to the top 😀
@@aurorasheba6566 i use scaffolding. it's cheap, easy to install, and can easily be broken and stored for next time if you don't want it there when you're not afking
I've been wanting a nicer looking way to make a mob farm on a smp server I've been playing on. 🤩and this is just lovely!
🤔though wish there was a easy way to make it work for specific mobs only. Server makes it easy to get zombies/spiders/skeletons. But not creepers and witches.😮💨
I'll most likely try to figure out how to connect a item sorter to this and trash the drops not needed.

Actually spiders, creepers and witches are easy to control in terms of a mob farm. It's almost impossible to have zombie or skeleton only farm.
I did think about adding item sorter into this build but it's just too big to fit inside the building. The only solution is to hide it underground...which is not aesthetic to me.....so....
@@aJackMinecraft you could use a water channel/water elevator (aesthetically designed, obviously) to push the mob drops to an aesthetically pleasing item sorter/storage building. ;)

Hello there! Your building is wonderful but I'm having problems with the rate of the mobs spawning in. Do I wait for them to spawn in and turn it on? Or have it already on while they spawn in?
You should turn on the redstone clock then go up to the afk platform in mid-air. You have to stand there to have normal spawn rate.

If you have elytra then you can live wherever you want. The afk platform 80 blocks above is essential to spawn lots of mobs.
Question🥲Is this building need or recommand a certain place like ocean to build? Is it ok if i build it just beside my house with villagers? Or can i build it up the mountain beside the house?
It's recommend to build this on a flat area so you dont need to light up a lot of surface.

I love this build. However, I came to the slow realization after spending a very long time building it…that this is NOT an XP farm like I thought. A great build. A BEAUTIFUL mob loot farm. But not and XP farm like I originally thought…

Can this farm be altered to be a manual kill chamber instead of an automatic kill chamber so I can also use it for an XP farm?
replace campfires/hoppers with more water that funnels mobs to a hidey hole a bunch of blocks below the tower. you can sit there and slash at their ankles. make it big enough for spiders though. keep in mind you won't be able to toggle manual/auto kill without putting the hoppers and campfires back.
Yeah I’m having the same issue, I’m on hard, lit up everything within 128 block radius, still getting no spawns at all, does anyone have any fixes? I’m on bedrock.

Only the top level dispenser is putting out water. The others aren't sensing anything. They are set up exactly as displayed in the video. I'm on Java. Any suggestions? I only have 7 levels instead of 8 however.
Did you put the observers in the right direction? It sounds like the second observer from the top is facing down so it could not send the signal down.
Really need your help. So I've built this all in survival. I realized at the end it's not Bedrock friendly. So I follow the tutorial for the bedrock you linked. However, there is no instructions on how to build the Redstone clock. Please help! 😭
I work. So I only just finished mine only to see that redstone is no longer needed 😂 you should edit it a little and name it easy aesthetic, effective, no red stone needed, bedrock, mob farm, I'm sure you'll get lots of clicks ❤
It was originally designed for Java but then I got a lot of requests from Bedrock players. But I wasnt familiar with bedrock mechanics so I made a lot of mistakes...😂
For the future videos, I will test it in Bedrock before I say it works and put those tag in the video. haha

I LOVE THIS BSL Shader. I followed Stobbles' Ultimate BSL Shader Setting 2023 except the water.
Pro tip for anyone who needs mostly gunpowder, place upside trapdoors on the roof above each platform, that way only creepers and spiders can spawn, not zombies and skelletons.

I have to apologise that I wasnt familiar with Bedrock Edition back when I made this video. I may not have time to redo this one but perhaps I will make a new mob farm design later. I will make sure that it works perfectly for both editions.
Ive started building this in bedrock with your bedrock design ajd its working. Just had to work out how to place observers and hoppers (crouching) it kills a mob every minute or two. Is that normal or should there be more mobs? The platforms arent all in sync if thats helpful
How long should the delay on the clock be? I've put in 32 items in the hoppers
@@creatingwithben9531 To increase the number of mobs is to spawn proof every block in a radius of 128 blocks from where you stand. That's why I have to build an afk platform in mid-air away from all those caves underground. You also need to light up the surface around the tower so no mobs spawn outside the tower at night.
If you want this to work without standing in mid-air...you have to light up A LOT OF CAVES and SURFACE...
I suggest 24 items for the redstone clock.

Building along... and, for some reason the water dispenses when the observer is uncovered (no torch on top) and stops when covered (torch on top) Did I do something wrong? Does it matter?
I am watching this video for two reasons:
1. It is nighttime and the video is relaxing;

If you have elytra, destroy it and just fly up to the afk platform. Keep it if you dont have elytra.
Can you please give us bedrock users the tutorial for the restore clock because I have spent two days doing this and I still can’t figure it out
So for bedrock instead of 8 platforms it'll be 7, and its 3 blocks from the top of the 32 block high pillers instead of 1 block from the top like in the video?
It should still be 8 platforms. The redstone lamp and the top observer is 1 block higher then the one in the video.
Is there a way to turn this into an xp grinder?
So I take it that this build is specifically for people who either have no Scruples about switching to creative in order to make it up this structure, or have already beaten the game in order to gain the elytra

I don't know if it is a lost cause getting help, but at 4:38 when you place the redstone lamp and the water is dispensed once then goes away... mine does not do that. When placed, the redstone lamp causes the water to be dispensed and then it just stays. I am so confused loool

I think the max height is around y=180~185. The afk platform will be very close to the build limit.

something to keep in mind, the higher up in a world you build the lower the spawn rates tend to be, so it may not yield that high on a mountain

Outside Light is always shining into my farm cant change that

@@zeylights9950 I think it might be caused by stairs block on the wall. That could leak some light into the farm.

This might be kind of late but the dispenser isnt filling the left most lane of the chamber, fills everything else perfectly just not that row of the playform

I play on a PlayStation 3 because I'm poor. Mob farm doesn't work, I don't have campfires. Built this anyway because the tower and greenhouse was so beautiful
But dont you need to make the platform higher, like 100 blocks in the sky? If i built this in my village, im pretty sure it doesnt work cuz there are some caves and other things that are preventing mob from spawning inside the tower 😢
In 23:52, it shows how to build an afk platform above the farm. Before cave and cliff update, it is possible to light up the caves around your village but now...

Yes if you are okay with less mob drops. OR you could make the kill chamber + a few platforms underground.

I think the number of mobs is shared on a server. That mean some of the mob is spawned next to other players which would affect the spawn rate.
I have some problems 😿: my farm machine spawns very few mobs, very few... how can I make more mobs spawn?
Idk if it’s too late but be sure that any caves near by are lit up to ensure that mobs spawn in the tower.

Yes because mob farm mechanics is simple. Just make sure to light up your base around the Tower.

No, you can build this at the centre of your base.

Is there a way to turn this farm into an experience farm? I can think of some way but I would like to know if you contemplated it?
Just change the killing chamber probably. instead of making them fall on active campfire just make them fall into inactive one, take of the bottom raw of glass and swing at them through the slab shaped hole with a sword I guess. maybe put some flowing water on the back so they are push to the front of the glass as well
Its really hard to do xp farm in the over world. Especially after the cave and cliff updates, there are so many caves below you. The spawn rate could be worse than a simple zombie spawner. Also, standing at the bottom of the farm is too close to most of the platforms so no mobs could spawn.
one question, what is the difference between the water dispenser in the video and the bedrock one shown in the link, I really don't see any difference.
Java: Observer sending signal to "empty block" above dispenser. Water dispense upward.
Bedrock: Observer looking at the "empty block" and send signal downward when water dispense on its face. Water dispenses downward.
Im on bedrock and my water isnt dispensing 🤔

I'm trying to get to a second platform, but the moment I place the dispenser, the observer from the lower platform activates and starts the waterflow. Is this normal?
Just put all the dispensers and observers all the way up to the last floor then after you do the redstone clock and everything is actually done, THEN you put all the buckets of water. This will prevent any inconsistence.
Thanks for the answer and I should have done better in the tutorial. It is recommended to put the water buckets into dispenser after you finish all layers.
