Aesthetic and functional design in industrial style. It does not require to build in the underground of a slime chunk. Just build this on the surface of a swamp! However, the farm efficiency is affected by moon phases.
**NO slime spawn during new moon phase & they spawn most often on a full moon.
This works in both Java and Bedrock Edition but remember that you need to build the afk platform at different height.

the slime farm concept is great, but the touch of turning everything to moss just to spawnproof the ground with torches without having to see them is just brilliant lmao
Bonemeal on moss also generates moss carpet which help to stop slime from spawning and use less torch.
just some feedback, i hope you start making these builds with survival people in mind. it can be hard to get up and down, in and out of the farm all the time. for example, i would have placed the mushrooms/lichen at the same time that i was building the spawn platforms instead of having to break back in and use scaffolding/ladders to get around in the small, dark space. otherwise, the build is beautiful and you're doing great work!

So, took me a little bit to get around to putting this up but finally completed. This was a really simple build and looks great. I surrounded it with water and attached a small bridge to it on our server.
Ran into 1 small issue with Endermen teleporting in and stealing mushrooms that was fixed easily enough by using half slabs to make the spawn platforms 2 and 1/2 blocks tall. Which still allows for large slimes to spawn.

I don't know what I'd do with so much slime but it sure is a nice looking farm! I love the wall pillars and turning the area around the farm into a mossy biome to hide torches the best. :D

Guardian farm is probably one of the most challenging farm to build... Crop farm is on my list!

once again a wonderfully designed good looking farm :) keep it up cause im loving it. Some questions: Will it not work in a mangrove biome area? Does the size of the swamp have influence in the spawnrate? do you need to spawn proof swamp to increase spawnrates?
It also works in mangrove biome but it's just painful to remove all the trees. That's why it is recommended to build this in a swamp biome.
You just need to make sure the spawn platforms are inside the swamp biome. Biome size doesnt matter.
You need to spawnproof the nearby surface and maybe some underground caves.

@@CyraTV My first attempt is a swamp house that is built on top of 3 underground spawn layers. Slime is transported to the house and drop to a magma pit. I gave up that design because the efficiency is bad when you need to transport slime. It could be ever worse because slime spawn below y=40 in slime chunk. I need to light up a lot of caves to make it work on Java. 😮💨

We are playing on our own server with a group of people :3
So the chunks would often be loaded. What if there is just one part that is " just for show" on top?
Like an efficient Chunk farm, where you afk at the bottom, but there is a cool design on top to get down.
You could have it with water elevators and hopper+Dispensers, that Slime balls are just for decoration purposes being spit out in a funny way and caught again :3 !
I think a lot about how the Chicken coop has its flying training course :P
It doesnt serve a purpose but it looks funny and adds interest, if that makes sense ;)
@@CyraTV Technically, you can build this on a slime chunk and shoot the slime ball into a water elevator. That could work. 🤔

If anyone wonders why we need 18 slime blocks to build a slime farm: don't worry, it's just decoration; and you'll easily get it while building the farm or shortly after.

This can be your new house if you take away the top spawn layer. It's spacious inside and you can free slime balls regularly.
Liked the Video was a little annoyed when I set down the entire stone base just to realize I was off by one on the Y axis, maybe start with the coordinates next time.
I don't know why, but the output is almost nothing... The iron golems keep beeing killed by whatsoever. Every floor block is covered by mushrooms, so light level is 1 everywhere. Any ideas?
Hi there, I love ALL your farms/builds, styles and block palettes!! Would you consider making a bamboo and/or blaze farm tutorial in future? I'd love to use a renewable fuel source other than coal, it gets a bit taboo the longer you play in a survival world/server. 🤍

It is BSL Shader with custom setting. Check Stobbles' Ultimate BSL Shader Setting 2023 for details. I didn't follow his water setting.
It may be strange because I am using a translation.
I left it on the AFK spot for 3 hours and there was very little peeling.
There is no problem with boiling over. The y coordinate has shifted up one square, is this the cause?
Haven't built a slime farm before as never found one visually appealing enough to consider it. But then I found THIS tonight... Guess what I'm building when I wake up?! I'm Excited to try this!! 😊 I'm on a deserted island for 1.20 in the middle of a HUUUUUGE ocean so it may be a ways from home. But seeing the finished product here I think it will be well worth the trek. Thanks! 🙂

Slime spawn below y=40 in a slime chunk so this farm only works in swamp. Unless...you found an enormous cave with a slime chunk in the middle and you manage to light up all the caves in a radius of 128 blocks (java)...
The factory would have to be built underground(40 and below an earlier comment says, which ruins the look a bit, I think) and you'd have to spawnproof all the caves around it(which is a lot more work). So technically, yes, but realistically...do you want to?
Will using color glass (like black stained glass) instead of tinted glass mess anything up with the farm?
in the spots that it opens into the farm, yes. Tinted glass prevents light from going thru. stained glass will not.
Can i build the afk platform underground? The farm is too beautiful to have the scaffolding on top

I didn't have access to the seed and I ended up building mine next to a slime chunk. (This was after I'm almost complete with the build.)
This farm doesnt work on slime chunk since slime can only spawn at below y=40. Slime can only spawn on the surface in swamp.
@@aJackMinecraft it's interesting that slime chunks and swamp biome affects the slime spawn rate differently.
I've been building different auto-farms on a tiny (java) realm server that yielded different results. I had more slimes spawning outside of the farm than hearing them spawning inside.
(Our wither skeleton and iron golem farm is quicker than a zombie spawner farm)
Does this work on realms, been sitting in the afk spot on bedrock and still nothing

Why do you have to stand far away and why should the simulation distance be 4? I play on 10
stand far away for mobs to actually spawn and lowering sim distance increases the rates since mobs will only spawn in that area, it still works fine on 10

This one doesn't work on slime chunk because slime only spawn at y-level < 40. Slime can spawn at y-level 51-69 only in swamp.

I think if u do so, and it's not on a swamp biome, then it will only work on layer 40 and below. So you would have to build the factory underground ;=;

Reason why I choose swamp biome because its really hard to build a nice building underground. You need to find a HUGE caves and there is slime chunk in the middle. This doesn't work well on Java because you have to light up all the caves around you.

i don't know why but the slime drpped when they die is not being collected from the cart below i tried to swap the magma block with fence but some times the drop get stucked too i don't know what to do doesnt work even with trap door
You mean all of the drops stay on the magma blocks? Did you use minecart instead of hopper minecart?

Surely the material list can't be right. At the very first step (around 2:00) you put 8 + 23 + 23 + 23 = 77 stone stairs, and the material list says 45 (with the "variable quantity" star, but this doesn't look variable at all to me).
Hmm...you are actually right. The material list is based on the finished build with optional decoration like switching stone with andesite. That's why it's almost halved.
I think I should make the list before those optional block palettes. Thanks for the feedback!
@@aJackMinecraft it's the other way around. We need at least 77 stairs. The material list says 45, so this isn't about adding optional decorations on top (which I'm fine having in the material list, people choose this build because it looks good). But something's wrong. The number of stone blocks is also insufficient AFAICS....
Note: kelp is missing from the materials list (as well as rails, for decoration). On the other hand, the hay bale is shown twice in the list. Other than these details: great farm, I love the far-west theme that you used for it, and it works great. Well done.

It is normal. The bottom spawn platform is below sea level (y=63) so bats could spawn.

@@DolgopolovDmitry AFK mean away from keyboard. In order to spawn mobs only inside the farm, you must stand at that platform. Otherwise, most mobs will spawn in the underground caves and not inside the farm. Mobs can't spawn outside 128 blocks radius.
Just stand there when you are eating or sleeping.
The "spawproofing" wouldnt stop Slime from spawning outside the farm, as they spawn in light (at least on bedrock). Is that why the rates are so different?
I'll probably stick with building my slime farms underground and then adding a storage and afk building above them, instead.

On Bedrock, slime also can't spawn at >7 light intensity. If you find slime on the surface, add more torches in that area.

The mechanics of mob spawning is so different and Java is just way faster.
@@aJackMinecraft - So underground and overground light level spawning is different as well? Because slime spawn at any light level below y40 - I've been using those parameters for years. That's crazy. I don't know why you'd choose a swamp, when underground seems much more efficient.
