Paradise Dragona will probably not be our specialty set in august, it will come out in september in japan, so our set in august will probably be something different. The theory is, that our set will be the night wanderer set because the ARs from the loyal three (Fezandipiti Munkidori and Okidogi) will not be our Twilight Masquerade set, they got cut out and the night wanderer set will feature all of the loyal three pokemon + the new mythical pokemon. Paradise Dragona will probably be in SV7 or SV8.
The time will come when the time is gone.

Pokebeach has reported that the Specialty set is no longer going to be a dragon set and is much more likely going to feature the Loyal Three and cards from Night Wanderer.

Yeah just bought cases of paldea evolved and temporal. scarlet & violet is growing on me abit :) slowly but surely
Latias and latios will be headlining paradise dragona, its looking it will be a main set now since in japan its priced at 5400 yen which is what they price main sets. Specialty sets are priced at 5500 yen.

Its because Gen 1 are primaries in the specialty sets & Paldea is oversaturated with hits, IMO puts TF above it for mainline. And we are only half way through SV. lots of time, but specialties are > than mainline so far
Price point is crucial to me. I don’t mind if it takes time to move up. It’s like having money in the bank. Optimizing investments is time consuming, and not bulletproof. Apples, and oranges
The special set won’t be the dragon set. The dragon set will be a main set (or part of the main set) releasing in September. They talk about it on poke beach

@NostalgiaNomics Random question not related to this video, but if you were to pick up Paldea Evolved Booster Boxes or Brilliant Stars Booster Boxes ( assuming you had neither in your portfolio) which one would you pick investment wise
prices would be PC for brilliant stars so MSRP and Paldea Evolved would be 90$ per box
I would have to take Brilliant Stars right now. It's as close to a guarantee as you are going to get in this hobby!

That's a hard one. If they get reprinted they will drop and I'll be honest there is a high probability they could. If somehow they don't then they will likely continue to rise higher.
If history repeats itself, we should see another great set similar to Evolving Skies.

It was chaos cards looks like they have all gone now they have one case left at £599.70 I always check chaos cards and magic mad house every morning see where box prices are at as they often have flash sales

Nope. It looks like it will most likely be a regular set but not confirmed yet. We originally thought it was a specialty set but prices were updated in Japan and match booster box pricing and not specialty.

My question is with everyone investing in sealed product, isn’t the market just flooded with the majority of people doing the same thing. I feel like we have people with way more sealed product and when the 5-10 years finally turns up who is buying? Everyone that was holding these products will flood the market again. I don’t believe people are going to want battle styles at 300-400 a booster box.. not in the amounts that is hoarded right now. The liquidity will be the issue.
Way more people not investing than there are that do invest.
Years from now, todays kids will have jobs and will have nolstagia and may want these current sets for their collection.
I have been hearing this since evolutions. That is now 8 years ago so the people saying in 5 to 10 years no one will buy it are almost already wrong on those already.
I think people forget 10s of millions buy and collect pokemon worldwide but we get in these little bubbles with a few thousands people and think everyone is doing it and it's simply not the case.
People life cycles shift, they stop collecting for many reasons, most won’t return, but some will. Value and availability and product kept in mint condition will fade over time. Nostalgia remains and is being more and more accepted. Corporations are moving in and merging(eBay Vault & PSA). Sets change, cards change, quality lowers, more and more prints. Still these old yellow edged cards sit. I highly doubt that the feeling of cracking pokemon will ever be irrelevant.
i'm keeping sealed for sure but, i rip open most of it.
