- Here are all of the recorded crashes and spins I still have that I've been a part of or witnessed since I started karting. They vary between racing karts and rental karts. I wasn't injured in any of these with the exception of a sore neck for a few days from one of them.

Idk why everyone’s being so harsh on you. Karting is super tough and considering the amount of racing you do I’m not surprised that you’ll make some rare mistakes. I love your vids bro and you’re a good driver so don’t take these backseat drivers to heart.
It just doesn't make sense some of the decisions he makes and he's wayyy too aggressive. He's gonna hurt someone with one of these decisions
@@PGH_RSV4 no he’s not, half of them are just heat of the moment mistakes. He’s not dangerous but there are some things he can improve on. He’s not a big competition racer like a super nats driver or karting world championship racer he’s just a club level competitor so ofc he will make mistakes. I guarantee 95% of the people in the comments would do worse

@@motorsportfan1246 I race in 60mph twin engine karts and have quite alot of experience with karting but in the heat of the moment I agree it is easy to make mistakes considering how competitive some races get and mistakes other drivers can have that can affect everybody around me.

Reason is yoyr natural reaction is to slam the breaks and in these karts that spins them horriblely so that’s why ahaha

The reason they spin is because they lock up the brakes

I always can control the kart, and even if I slip it I can always save it, these people just need to stay focus and not panic

People would be stunned to learn that competitive karting is a blood sport.
I wouldn’t be due to experience. I was in a tourney race once and I watched this guys kart go over someone else’s kart mid race due to the wet track. I’m never racing during the rain again 😝.
I do karting in competition with my x30 in france and i clearly cofirme that is like WW2 and if you try the exter. Rip lmao

Normalize drivers actually turning to avoid a crash instead of panicking, locking up the breaks and spinning...
Easier said than done for inexperienced drivers

I applaud you for showing your errors on video. Takes a man of character to display his errors so others can learn from them. Watching your other videos I can see you’ve become a skilled racer. We race because we love it. I plan to stop when I can’t physically get out of the kart anymore.

Im 10 and I started going to kids go karts around my town and now that i watch videos about go karting i want to be a big racer one day maybe

Turn the wheel instead of stamping the brake, when someone spins you Can turn around it most of the time
Yes, you're right. The initial response is to hit the brake but experience will teach you to steer around it.

its really hard to overthink instinct while you're in a kart... Also you are already on the limit of your kart coming out of a corner mainly, so it is hard to continue turning

At Skip Barber, they would call the reactive spin-out a "sympathy spin". Usually happens when you target fixate on the vehicle ahead of you instead of the far side of the corner you are trying to negotiate. Hard to avoid because it's where your attention naturally wants to go.

I’ve been on those go karts, and let me tell you, you can feel it even if someone just taps you.
How do you crash before the corner I’m a go kart driver and I usually spin mid corner usually due to under steer, but when someone spins in front of me I usually get out of the way, some times these things happen

As soon as someone spins with these bad drivers they all get scared and stab the brakes and spin LOL
Well if you are going that fast on a wet track and you see someone facing the wrong way I think you might be a bit startled

That rental karting crashes are everything i hope that happens while a rental session 💀
As a NASCAR fan here are a few tips: if there is ever a multi-car pileup always slam on the brakes and turn the opposite direction and also if you get loose keep going straight.
From what I've seen in this video as soon as someone spins everyone else's spins cuz of the anxiety and slamming on the brakes

I'd recommend starting in rental league races but either way go to your local track and see what classes they're running, buy a kart, drive it a lot and ask tons of questions! I made a video on this subject recently as well, check it out on my channel if you'd like. Good luck to you!!!
That first one is why they say aim for the spinning car. once you get there the car would have spun out the way instead of into you, trying to avoid it

i have only gone karting once and i got into a crash with 3 other people and we had to get out of the karts cause of how damaged they were

and if there's a curb beside the grass path, make sure hit
the good apex at the entry of the corner.

I started running rental races for fun, then started competing in their leagues then bought my own kart. You should do it, it's a lot of fun.

Anyone who bashes on how serious karting can get has never been in an a bad accident on one. These things get going really fast and you are honestly super exposed in them! I had a crash once that nearly did some serious damage when a kart came up and onto mine, nearly hitting my head! Scary

At some tracks they have 2 person karts that are just for fun. You can chose who takes control of the steering wheel
