    The first option to select the new form builder interface is really confusing. Why ask to use it, then go to the old form builder and then upgrade to the new form builder? Isn't that confusing to people other than just me? Why do I feel that Airtable has multiple teams working on similar product features that don't communicate?

      Why don't they just switch to the new form builder instead of telling people the old form builder is being discontinued? My clients are really confused and frustrated.

      I agree that this is quite difficult to understand and not really the best user experience. Hopefully it improves as the old form builder is deprecated.

    Hey @GarethPronovost - Small correction/amendment here. At 6:30 when you you opt to click "Create a form view" vs "Continue", the "Continue" button actually takes you to the new form building UI (located in the Interfaces tab but is not an "interface Form") -- this is the same UI you went to when clicking "Upgrade to new forms." Small but important to note...

    This tutorial was super helpful. Is there a way to prefill in things in prior to sending? Things that would be different from customer to customer or form to form.

    Hi Gareth, Excellent lessons. I need your help, if I want to link the form as a button or link in another table is that possible? I know you said one form per table, this is only to be set as easy access for internal users. Thank you.

      Thanks for watching! Yes, you can create a button or link in another table. Typically we see this in the case where you want to prefill information on your form and you use a formula to prefill it. For example, you could have Table 1 for Clients and Table 2 for Invoices. Your form could add an Invoice, but you could push a button from Table 1 to automatically prefill the form with the Client Name - does that make sense?

    Hi Gareth, Is there a way to prefill a read-only field?

    • @GarethPronovost
      @GarethPronovost  Před 7 dny

      you can prefill any field in the form, but you can't make a field read-only in an Airtable form - for this you'll want to integrate with a 3rd party form tool. We recommend Fillout as it integrates directly with Airtable

    The video says the crash course is free but when I click on the link there is a cost. Is it free or not?

      I'm confused, the crash course is free and available at gap consulting.io/airtable-crash-course - it is sent to your email.
      There is an add-on option after, but it's not part of the crash course.
      Hope this helps!
