- Welcome back everyone to PC Mazda Reviews. Today I am going to be doing a walk around of the 2019 CX-5 Touring Model.
This vehicle as shown lists for $28,655 and can be equipped with the Preferred Equipment Package for $1,375.

3 wierd questions:
Is the infotainment system a touch-screen?
Is bluetooth available?
And, how is the step-in height compared to a Minivan?

In the 2019 the infotainment is only a touchscreen when the car is stopped. You use the wheel by the shifter to control the screen when moving or stopped as well. I believe the newer ones completely disabled the touch.
Has Bluetooth functionality.
Not sure of the step in height compared to a minivan but it’s not very high compared to other larger SUVs
Does the CX5 have a digital speedometer? Sure wish Touring had XM. Obviously they think it's worthwhile because it's on Grand Touring and above. Nice video!
The CX-5 does not have a digital speedometer on the dash. It does gain one though if you have the heads up display on the premium packaged Grand Touring trim level and higher.
I have a 2016.5 touring, that infotainment system looks way faster, only like 4-4 seconds, mine is like 30 seconds.
Do you know what kind of material the steering wheel is made of?
It is a leather wrapped steering wheel!

Do you have to keep your hands on the steering wheel while using this feature??
If you are talking about the lane keep assist and radar cruise control combo, yes. The vehicle will sense your hands are off the wheel and signal an audible chime while asking you to return your hands to the wheel.

@@habib080 All of the CX-5s are out of Japan! Best thing to look for is if the VIN leads with a J it comes out of Japan.

What if I'm driving without the assist, does the car automatically stops even with my foot on the gas when it senses another car in front/side/a person?
So that will be part of the emergency braking. It will not stop slowly like it will with Radar Cruise control, the vehicle will first alert you to the danger and if you do not respond by putting your foot on the brake it will do it itself at the last second in an attempt to either avoid the crash/minimize the damage. I have been in the vehicle before when it triggered and the vehicle literally slams on the brakes and stops as fast as it can. It works but it is a scary experience seeing it triggered.
Thank you so much. Is this safety feature on all the trims of the CX-5? I am thinking about getting the CX-5 and this helps a lot.
@@tinjazv1774 This feature works for under 19 MPH on all trim levels but it must have radar cruise control to work at speeds up to 90 MPH.

This vehicle is rated at 28 MPG combined (31 MPG Highway, 25 MPG City). For a vehicle this size and engine set up that is good.
You got to speak up to hear you over the engine noise.
