In Slovenia, the CX-5 is 2 years old, maybe € 2,000-3,000 (just a little more in $) cheaper than a new one ... but no one sells used ones - if you manage to find one, it's like winning the lottery.
I ordered a new one a year ago ... and at the end of this month I have a delivery deadline ... and my salesman, who has already changed employer during this time (also sells Mazda), asked me to stop at him when I get the car,so he can look at it and take pictures because he doesn't have one to show ... he said he barely got one CX-5 at the next batch as a company car,so that he has at least one to show and for test drives.

This is going to be long...
After I lost my 2012 Hyundai Sonata in 2016, I started doing a lot of research into vehicles via CarGurus. My specifications would always make sure I had a sunroof, Bluetooth, and that the vehicle was a 2012 or later. It didn't take long through 2017 for me to fall in love with what I saw from Mazda. By 2020, I'd made the decision to get a Mazda6, particularly the 2017 GT with the Premium Package.
Then, winter came and brought its infamous Chicago snowfall.
It was at this point that I looked to the CX-5. This was already my second choice, but the available AWD made it first. Again, I was looking at the GTP, because it had all of the same options as the 6. Over time, I crossed out the 17 and 18 models because I preferred the appearance of the guages in the 19 and later models (and the ventilated seats).
While I do like the look of the 2022 model, I don't like the fact that the fog lights were removed. For that reason, more than price, I'd take a '21 CX-5 over a '22. I have yet to make a purchase, but I regularly eye '19-'21 CX-5s on used car sites

@@DSPNWtoCali I’m no expert, I’m just aware of the issues I’ve mentioned.
60,000 miles seems a lot over that amount of time. I chose to buy a new 2023 turbo as a second car, it won’t do more than 5,000 miles a year so it should last forever.
If your car is not a turbo it is likely not effected by the valve stem issue in the 2021 year. I remember reading that it’s possible Mazda fitted the incorrect valve stem seals to many turbo engines in that period, it’s thought they had plenty of valve stem seals left over from the diesel engines so they used them in the turbo engines, or they simply got them mixed up.
Personally I felt more comfortable getting a 2023 model but would have probably been ok getting a late 2022 model. I think Mazda recognised their error in late 2021. Noting it only effected the turbo engines not the standard 2.5 litre. The standard 2.5 litre had a different knocking issue in the 2018, 2019 years.
I can say that my turbo is really good and the need of a turbo is likely not really needed. I think the non turbo would have plenty of zoom zoom.
Make sure the servicing has been done and oil changes at correct intervals or earlier. Personally I think an oil change at about 5,000 miles is a wise choice on any modern car. I think modern cars are more temperamental than the older ones.

Bought a 21 grand touring months ago. 24.5k with 38k on it. New grand touring AWDs go for almost 40. Don't play yourself. Even with your pricing a year ago, you musta been high to think how you were.

I am not going to watch the video coz the answer is blindingly bleeding obvious. Of course you should. Then look after it and keep it for as long as reasonably practical. If you dont, you neither have very specific needs or your brain fell out years ago.

🤣 I agree it’s a no brainer, but feel free to watch video anyway 😁

Lol never watch these misleading dealership videos and never buy a CPO car, rather buy a brand new after negotiating Out The Door Price for 15% discount!

Nissan is not the same class as Mazda which is surpassing Honda and Toyota in the CX-5

Just bought 2022 used CX5 with 5k miles and saved over 6k from new one.
