Hey Emma. I came across your channel while doing a search for Gaspar Noe (I assumed I was the only person who was able to sit all the way through “I Stand Alone”). Great list. “Malignant” was definitely a film I will never forget and “Titane”, though I didn’t love it, has definitely seeped into my soul. Two films that didn’t make your list: “Censor” was such a delight and really pays homage to the era of “video nasties”and probably my favorite film of the year (horror or otherwise) the brilliantly poetic “Lamb”. I loved the film and it did get a bit misty. Love the channel.

Happy New Year Emma! That's a great top 10 list, I haven't seen Psycho Goreman but a friend of mine told me to check it out and that it's pretty good. Titane is now on my to do/see list. I had a few of your picks on my list to, a Quiet Place 2, which showcases the children more, which I liked, Fear Street was a pleasant surprise, Malignant like you said was a WTF moment/moments lol, great movie and my surprise that was on your list was Antlers, I seen it in the theater and going in I wasn't expecting much but when I left i thoroughly enjoyed it, it was dark and gloomy right up my alley. Another movie like Antlers that I seen was the Dark and the Wicked which also was dark and full of dread! I enjoyed Caveat and Night House this year but I didn't like Holloween Kills, that's a total surprise for me because I still to this day rank the original Halloween as my favorite horror film of all time! My favorite genre is horror, I have a ton of horror movies in my collection, more than any other genre. I also will see Last Night in Soho, the trailer i seen awhile ago made the movie look very interesting. Thanks for your top 10 list and as always keep up the great work!

Hear a lot of good things about Titane and Psycho Goreman. They're going on the list for sure!
My favorite horror movies of this year are The Trip (a hilarious horror comedy from Norway), A Quiet Place 2, Malignant, The Night House and Last Night in Soho, just to name a few. I sadly did not watch a lot of new horror movies in cinema. The pandemic is not helping, but I hope times will change soon.

Some epic choices Emma - Malignant was bat shit crazy but a great pizza and beer movie, Antlers, as you say, oozed dread, loved the FS trilogy (the first definitely had the kill of the year) and QP2

Okay, I finally saw Saint Maud. Both the acting and the style of the film are well done. I've seen this story done many different ways, so I can't say it was anything new to me. For a first-time writer/director, it is a solid start. I will say that the ending did make me think of a Fall Out Boy song. Too soon?😏

My favorites have gotta be Malignant, Censor and Last Night in Soho. All three films are tributes to classic B-Horror from the 70s and 80s funnily enough, I guess I just really enjoy that vibe. The Fear Street movies were also really fun flicks, nothing to write home about but I would definitely watch some more of those.

@@spookyastronauts Boggles my mind! The Dad in "We Need to do Something" is such a great actor! His unnervingly neurotic, and borderline unhinged, performances are captivating. Same actor from "Cheap Thrills," (2013, pitch black comedy, satire, thriller) which you should really check out if you haven't. Also, LOVE your content, and love supporting a fellow female of the darkness! 💋👿
