DON’T make this MISTAKE with your Mercedes! It might cost you! 💰

Please Dont scroll if you own or finance a Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-AMG or Mercedes EQ because you need to know this.
Your Mercedes may have Keyless entry or keyless start. This means thieves may be able to pick up the signal from your key when you are at home and then amplify the signal to your car to then open and start your car.
To identity if you have Keyless Entry you will see a chrome strip on the top of the door handle.
If your car has a switch to start the car then you also need to watch this video. Some cars may have the switch missing so keep watching this video to check if your car key can be disabled.
If you’re car has any of these features then please watch this video.
If you have keyless entry then you need to ensure you disable both keys for your car so the signal from the key cannot be amplified to the car for thieves to open, start and drive off with your car.

hey, thanks for this, does the double click completely disable the key . As I think that's what happened to me last night, and I was locked out of the car. Without using the second key, nothing would work. Once I unlocked with the second key, the first key started working too . Thanks again

If you do disable the key, normally when you press the unlock button then the car should open up and the key will be active again. If this is not the case then I recommend you get your car checked by your local dealership.

The video above explains how to get your car connected to Mercedes Me. You will need to take your logbook and driving license to your local dealership and someone at the dealership can get you connected. Might be worth booking sometime in with someone from Service because if you walk in they may not be able to see you (depending on how busy they are).
