  • ►Mercedes-Benz keyless go is one of the many features Mercedes has added into its modern vehicles as an added level of convenience and comfort. When keyless go works, keeping your keys in your pocket or purse while not having to think about them can save you from countless headaches.
    In today's video, Kyle Bascombe, FCP Euro's Mercedes Catalog Manager, walks us through how to diagnose and repair a faulty Mercedes keyless go system on a Mercedes-Benz W205 C300.

    Enjoy your videos, I am an owner of a 2015 C300 4matic. Was wondering if you could cover preventive maintenance for the telescope steering wheel that activates when you enter and exit the car. I’ve noticed a different “motor” noise lately and I fear it will not work one day. Can I deactivate this or is there something I can do to prevent a major repair? Much thanks!!

    Hey Bro, do all Mercedes (after a certain year) come with *Keyless Go* or is this an option that you have to buy at the time of purchase of the car? Thanks!

    Hello. Could you please help me?
    Today I've replaced the driver door handle on my 2006 cls55 w219 and now if I push the knob on the door handle the door pops to open. Instead of closing the central lock. And if I push the long button behind it close the central lock insted pop the door. Let's say the Open and close function switched?
    Mechanically it sems like works perfectly. Before I replace it, it was worked in the right way. The only reason why i replace the door hanndle was because small knob stop working. How I can fix it myself? Thank you.

    My driver door is not reading opened and closed so I can't lock my car, any ideas? I already sprayed electrical contact cleaner on all of the harnesses accessible by removing the door panel but it hasn't helped. I think it's the sensor that read the door open and close position as unfortunately the 2008 s63 didn't use a pin to read this.... Any help is greatly appreciated 👍

    How do I fix if the car don’t detect the key fob

  • @MercedesMechanic

    Been having same problem on my 2013 Mercedes S550, what have you determined was the cause? Sometimes I try all the doors until one responds so its been intermittent for sure on all doors. Also sometimes the dash tells me its not sensing my key in my pocket sitting in driver seat. I tried replacing battery in key fob so thats not it.

      Did you fix it? What was the issue

    • @MercedesMechanic
      @MercedesMechanic Před rokem +2

      @@mrgamezguy123 I didn't install the battery correctly in the key fob which ended up being the problem. According to the cars manual you cannot touch the battery with your bare fingers as oil from your skin will interfere with it working inside the key. The part that controls the keyless go is in the trunk behind the trim work, not sure which side but I believe its the passenger side. If its bad, nothing keyless will work, you must replace that part. Cost is about $1000 for the part and you need to order it from the dealer for your particular VIN# because its an anti-theft part that prevents others from getting in your car. The dealership programs it to your VIN.

    I know this is old now, but I just bought a 2009 SL 550. I noticed on the passenger door the small square rubber button you push to lock & unlock the door is tearing away. If I pull on the little rubber square, you can see a brass contact point under it. I'm thinking that I have to by a new handel. If it falls off the contact could be exposed to rain and short out.

    Would this apply to a w211? My driver side keyless go is working sporadically. I have to use the passenger driver side to unlock.

      Also having this issue on my 2006 E55. Only the passenger front door and trunk work as they should. All other doors the keyless entry and lock buttons don't work.
      My key fob buttons also don't work unless I aim the fob at the sensor on the driver's door. Any ideas?

    Is it true you can no longer buy keyless go keys from Mercedes? Smart keys are available but not with nfc to operate the keyless go. Anyone?
