Good Video, but below two important tips regarding the maintenance: Chains have to be cleaned and especially lubricated from the inner side, where they are in contact to the the sprockets. Furthermore the grease adheres much better when applying it to a dry chain. Therefore you should wait some hours after cleaning before lubricating it.

I was told to do it after a ride, so chain is hot and will absorb oil! Rather than doing it b4 a ride on a cold chain as that throws the oil onto the wheel!

Back in the day, there's no telling how many chains I wore out on my Yamaha enduro. It was always needing to be cleaned, lubricated, and adjusted. This is why I won't have a bike nowadays that doesn't have shaft drive. I'm too old and grumpy to be worrying about a primitive chain, especially when I'm a 1000 miles from the home garage. I'm finally about to pull the trigger on a new Triumph Tiger 1200 over the Honda Africa Twin mostly because the latter is missing a shaft drive.

I bought the 2022 Africa Twin - whole chain can be a pain every few months - the bike otherwise stays away from mechanics 🧰. Honda is sooo reliable. I love it. Would not trade it for any other bike - been riding for 40 years. Last bike was a super Tenere. That was also super comfortable and reliable. Greetings and respect to all from Durango Mexico 🇲🇽

Hello mate, it’s a regular engine cleaner 💪

Sure nice and clean. Is that cleaner safe for Oring chains? They are internally lubed. I’d worry they the cleaner will shorten the life of the o rings possibly. I understand o ring Chan’s don’t need lube. If they link or the o rings wear then maybe, until it’s changed out for new w sprockets.
But isn’t it always better to put the lube on the inside of the chain to get it where it’s needed and not so it just flys off? Nice vid though. Thanks for doing it.

I find this chain cleaner one of the best out there, and I’m using the off-road libe because sometimes I like to go off-road!!
Big hug mate, and keep your chain clean 💪💪

O-ring, X-ring, they all need proper cleaning and lubricant. The grease that is held inside the rollers by the rubber rings isn’t effected by the cleaner or the lube. Those are for the outer parts of the chain that interact with the sprockets and the environment.
