  • It took me quite a while to learn how to do this because every video I found either had their hands in the way, or waffled on about nothing for 10 minutes instead of just getting on with it.
This video is for people like me who just need to see the basic method once, and can figure out all the other details on their own.
I'm using 3mm kangaroo leather lace.

No matter how many videos I watched I couldn't for the life me figure out how to do the 4 strand Round Braid until I found this video on the 11th hour. What finally made the connection was when you mentioned that after ever single move, the same 2 color strands should be the same in the right and left hand, every single time. I finally built my 4 strand round braided rock sling because of this video THANK YOU!

How can you not love this video? Right to the point. (I don't need 5 minutes showing me how to hold the ends on the table, lol). Nice. I do find that when using flat strips, you need to kinda fold the strips around so they don't twist and make the surface rough.

Thanks! My dog chewed the 4 strand round braid on my bag and this is the clearest video on how to braid the strips back together...I used pairs of same-color paper clips to keep the two sides separate, much easier than numbering 1-4 like so many videos do.

Exactly what I was looking for, including the tip on how long you need to cut your strands to end up at the length you ultimately want. Succinct, easy to follow, and I only had to watch it once. Thank you!

I came looking for videos and yours was the second one because the first one didn't look right/seemed too easy. But it is the same and you are doing it the difficult way. Check it out: you just cross over the same colour, then get the other 2 and cross them over under the first 2, binding the previous cross in place. repeat. done. Literally the same as you are doing except you are working on both of the same colour at a time.

Can this be wrapped around sword/lightsaber hilts using some intricate paracord styles??

I want to make some of this for a lightsaber handle wrap, using some kind of intricate paracord wrap once it's braided, I'd also like to use round leather/suede cord, that being 3 strands of black leather and 1 strand of DEEP DEEP cherry red suede. If I wanted the final diameter to be 3.5-4.0mm what diameter chord should I get?? I would think 1mm (If the make that of course)
