I love when actual professionals make tutorials. Well done sir
Thanks you
Followed your video, and it was super easy. Thanks for the quick fix video.
No problems. Thanks for watching.
Appreciate this vid, helped. 👍
Thanks a lot man.
I can't get to the connector on my 2017 buick lacrosse
THANKS
Doing this exact project on a 21 suburban right now. Problem is that NO ONE shows how exactly the electrical connection comes apart.
Isn't it possible to repair the switch itself which is inside the hood lock not charging it completely?
Thank you brother
Is that was a serious issue sir, will it lead to any engine technical issue?
Not really, worst case scenario is the alarm might go off at random times. Other than that and a stinking check engine light at times nothing else will happen. Thanks for watching.
are these the culprits of panic alarms going off as well when they go bad?
Yes they are the culprits of the panic alarm going off at random.
@@showmemechanics thanks brother! This video relieves my headache hah 😅
Your welcome, thanks for watching.
You did not show you disconnecting the sensor
Do you know what this code means? P2DE7? That’s the code I’m getting for my truck
What's the year, make and model? P2DE7 is not popping up for a 2021 Chevy Silverado from GM Techline. Please verify the code if you can and I can help you from there.
I have a 2017 silverado 1500 and I got this code
I have a 2020 Silverado 1500 2.7 turbo with p037c. Can you please tell me what this code is my good sir. Thanks
Why does GM have the ECM monitor the hood latch switch? In other words, why is this a P-Code and not a C-Code?
I have a cheaper and faster fix. Cut the wires to the switch off of the latch assembly. Strip the insulation on each wire and splice the two together. Problem fixed. Except for those people who can't figure out how to close the hood knowing that it is fully latched. But those people should not be allowed behind a steering wheel anyhow.
The engine control module detects a plausibility error between the observed hood ajar position and the reported hood ajar position.
The engine control module applies 5 V to the hood ajar signal circuit and monitors the voltage to determine the position of the hood. The hood ajar switch contains a multiplexed resistor. This resistor will vary the voltage seen by the engine control module. So please do not cut the wires to hard wire, it won't fix the problem.
It disables the remote start when the hood is open
