It plays no differently than any other game of its ilk (think Lawnmower Man on Sega CD), but man, it sure did look amazing when it came out. It still looks great now.

Oh man, PS1 holds a special place in my heart... hearing the old bootup sound really brings me back... I think this generation of gaming was my favorite overall, the advent of 3D, in all its blocky and pixelated glory.. lol..

Ditto. They were so creative with their game ideas. Nowadays it's all about making the graphics look better and better with little innovation in game play. And those early 3d graphics are still good enough for me to get immersed in the story.

I also remember the first 5 minutes of this game, probably because that's all I could stomach before being bored out of my mind. Probably paid Blockbuster a couple days worth of late fees for it anyway 🤣

I miss this Era. The games were hard and internet wasn't a thing. You had to put your heads together with your friends to advance in games. Now every game is beautiful and very easy to finish.

It's a tough game but it's got a pretty decent story and a cool ending. Merging with the alien is a twist I didn't see coming when I played it. I had a really tough time in the shooting sections especially the tunnel and the last battle in space. I have it on both PlayStation and Saturn but the Saturn version, while more fun with the gamepad looks a hell of a lot worse than the PlayStation version.
