My brain didn't put it together that's what you needed a torch for, for like half of my elden ring playthrough and then i ended up buying a lantern

I love the map showing where each video took place. I love Boc so much. He's one of the few NPCs I got attached to and I made damn sure I didn't mess up his quest. I honestly didn't do that much exploring on Mt. Gelmir, but I did go and get the "You're beautiful" prattling pate so I could use it for him. I definitely wasn't sending him to Rennala.

Yeah, I really wanted to be careful with his quest because I saw ahead of time there was some sort of 'fail' state. So I looked up a guide to make sure I did it right.
Then I screwed it up anyways because the guide was confusing. Poor Boc.
@@IndigoKnight49 Fextra isn't the best with their guides. Their guide for keeping Greirat alive until Lothric in DS3 is confusing more than it needs to be too.

@@IndigoKnight49 I use the wiki to get the broad details, but I also check the comments to see if people found better ways to do the quests or if someone rewrote it in a way that actually makes sense. The guide can be needlessly complicated or just poorly explain the order in which to do certain things. Keeping Greirat alive in DS3, for example, can be a pain in the ass, but the guide makes it sound a lot more complicated than it really is. The guide also claims that you can't rest at a particular bonfire or else Siegward will move. That's wrong and he won't move unless you actually progress down the stairs past the bonfire.
Reddit can sometimes be a better guide or at least answer any questions more clearly. I definitely didn't use Fextra for Armored Core 6 questions; damn near every guide was getting it wrong about what was needed for each of the 3 endings.

Fun fact! Romoving the cape can remove or unlock special armor effects as well.
Raptor's Black Feathers no longer boosts jump attacks without the cape
Black Knife Armor no longer silences footsteps without the cape (yes, enemies can hear you)
(Rotten) Gravekeeper Cloak starts attracting enemies if you remove the cloak (that armor piece is basically a bra on female characters)
And there i was thinking it was my dangling flail making all the racket.

Boc and Hewg are two of my favorite FromSoft characters, they're basically the only people you meet with no ulterior motives. They just wanted to help.

Oh my god. I played this game to dang near 100% completion with all the sidequests, and you just made me realize I never found this guy 😅
The only problem with Boc is everything already comes with a cap or extra clothing already so you don’t often need to use him, though the beast champion set getting a cap is neat.
Sea was the direction I took after talking to the white face.. so that was the first cave I went to as a souls game.. and I had no idea that there was something called a torch.. dude.. it WAS rough 😂
Even though I rarely use his services, I always finish his quest.
In my first playthrough when I met Bok in cave, I was at RL +- 110 (yeah... just a LITTLE too much) and you know what? I avenged him
I fucking incinerated all the living shit I met in this cave with steel-wire torch's FIREBREATHER, just to make sure they will indeed suffer for hurting him

In a previous video, we see rennala doing a makeover to Boc, that means carbot gave him a larval tear. That means we know how this ended.

His questline's pretty beefy, so maybe it'll be a 3 or five minute cartoon.
I think the best reward Boc gives you is a follower that wants you to succeed for you. No hidden agenda or attempts to sway you to a certain ending in particular he just wants you as Elden Lord and he’s content with that.
This should be a video game. A spoof of Elden Ring. I would buy it without a doubt.

though the capes are cool, it’s better to see the whole armor. That’s what I like in dark souls armor, I always see the back of the player and always can see a nice armor instead of a huge flopping cloth
