Bro, thanks for making these kind of content on gr86. I don't even own one but when I do, I'll for sure come back to your tutorial channel! Keep up the good work 👍👍

Appreciate this comment! Short yet big for this channel!
The screwdriver type is called a flathead. First time I've heard anyone call it a "minus" screwdriver.
Asians here. Lol. 🤣
Great video this. BTW I ordered the puddle lights with the Subaru emblem because they were so much cheaper than the BRZ emblem which was quite boring and only one colour vs the much better looking subaru emblem.. The subaru one is made for liberty/forester/impreza etc and while the light fitting fits into the door just fine the power plug is slightly different so I made up some a new wire loom for each door so I could preserve the factory power plugs in case I want to put a brz puddle light back in later.
I've also bought an electric oil pressure gauge so I can keep an eye on the potential oil starvation issue these cars have had. I wanted to ask your opinion on the best place to install the sensor.. I was thinking a Y junction where the oil temp sensor is and then put the oil temp sensor and oil pressure sensor each into the Y junction. I haven't looked under the bonnet yet as Im still waiting for the gauge to be delivered.
Also I need to get a feed off my headlights so the gauge knows to dim the backlight when I turn on headlights.. was thinking the closest and easiest place under the dash is probably something like the dashlights dimmer dial.. I think one of those wires would have a feed from the headlights (just not the wire providing actual dimming).
Interested to hear your thoughts on this. THX
Hi thank you for asking, but unfortunately I don't have the answers to you questions. Haven't actually thought of doing an oil pressure gauge. Also I haven't really had problems with headlight lines coz I got the accessory harness that is only available for JDM. Sorry dude, but elec harnesses seems to be different for JDM and overseas.
Doing exactly this broke something. Now my window doesn't go up when I close the door
Upd: seems like it burned the door latch sensor. Car doesn't know if the door is open now
Did you use 22 gauge wire to tap into the existing wire?
Sorry I'm not quite sure. I will be more specific next time.
Door you know what size the door speakers are? Figure I would change those out while im in there lol
Hi, it's a 6.5" I have another video for that.

@@39gjapan thanks!
Do they turn off when you close the door?
Yes, that is the reason we need to tap it to the door signal.👍
