- Today we did the famous Rolls Royce Starlight Headliner mod on my 2022 Subaru BRZ. In this video we briefly go over on how to install it but if you want a more in depth video on the installation process i've already made it ( • Installing Star Light ... ). This super cool yet simple mod completely changed the interior of the car and anyone can do it. I hope this video helps you guys out!

Buddy’s car looks like he’s beat the entire Midnight Club DuB Edition game
😂😂
This comment was so elite
dude that build is so clean. honestly one of my favorite BRZ builds ive ever seen
I appreciate that!
@@beakhan hey how much would it cost to do other people cars
I have a question what if ur car is a sun roof car is it possible or it’s just a done for
BRZ is the modem Honda Civic change my mind
@@JacobColon-go3cl you can still do it, just not going to look as clean because the stars will only show on half the roof
CZcamsr: Easy to install…
*removes ceiling + wires dangling*
Me: yeah ,no 😅
450 holes to mark + drill + place wires + glue wires + clip wires = 450 X 5 = 2250
Yup, big nope.
Like wtf 😂
Ok thank God I wasn't the only person thinking the same thing. Are the comments just bots because no one is pointing out how not "easy" this looks/is.
@@kekmemez1448 its easy just takes forever 😭 i think its worth it tho tbh
Getting this professionally done for my supra in 2 weeks. took me a while to even find someone who does the work. most upholstery's rejected this job. no way i'm doing this myself.
as an older human, i congratulate you cool smart young folks and wish you all the best - here is to you!!!
This is bad ass, I might do this to my truck! Always loved this feature but little did I know I was one CZcams search from realizing it was a aftermarket possibility. Great video!
Did you try it yet? I was also considering it
I might try it on my ford f150 03
Same! Didnt know anyone could do this to their vehicle!!!
I do not mean this disrespectfully , I’ve never seen it in person so I guess why? What’s the intrigue? Like for those wanting to do this have you seen it in person?
That's cool and all but doesn't change the fact that my mother has testicular cancer
Ok then
Bro what
nigga what???
Oh my god. I hope she recovers bro.
She die yet?
Definitely the best video I’ve seen on DIYing this.
Perfect video straight forward no time wasted quality content! ITS TEDIOUS NOT DIFFICULT ‼️
This car looks so awesome
Nice work buddy! You've given me hop to do this!
I was considering this as i drew up a plan for my birth constellation to do this with. Looks easy and intimidating. But its for my 04 Land Rover Discovery 2. Redoing the headliner after all updates and repairs. Thx for sharing.
I just earned yourself a subscriber it worked I found the kit in the link very pleased how it came out the star liner came out Alr better in the dark but in the day I can see the little holes but it’s fine I like it
Looks like a great weekend project how cool! 😎😊
Yeah definitely looks fast and easy
Fast? Hell naw.... 😂 😂 😂 But easy, only if you have room for two projectors.
@@dadabg8747 Sorry I should've added the sarcasm to be a little more obvious
@@Unknown_Ooh lol... I too was just talking...
Wanna do this to my e39 bc I'm already taking the headliner out to paint it black. But this looks like a full day project at least if I do it by myself.
Did it ever say fast
That brush trick was the sauce 👌 🙌 😎 🔥
how tf is this "EASY DIY"
Easy when you have a warehouse and help 😂
Looks easy just time consuming
😂
Just time consuming
Great video! Badass result! I'll be doing this on my WRX soon!
Thinking of doing this for my WRX too, have you done yours yet?
Well done bro looks great love the video!
I was not a fan of the new brz but after seeing how clean your looks ngl it look 🔥🔥
Good diy vid with good advice to make it look clean and not sloppy
I’d love to do that to my regular cab truck
Love the video - Great Job - thanks for the video
That build is super awesome man
Nice, great job guys!
Excellent I thought that you could actually do that to any car. And you did it A++
Wow this car with that headliner is BEAUTIFUL bro!!!! 💜🖤
That brush the headliner trick will certainly be tried if i ever install. Thx
Did you ever install it?
@@Nodnarb69 unfortunately not yet
looks nice! Good work fam
ur brz is so clean normally i don't like them but urs is tuff big dawg
tysm for this bro ♥ amazing tutorial
honestly you’re car is dopeeee 🔥🔥🔥🔥
NIIIIIIIICE!!!!! WELL DONE!!!!
That looks awesome great job thanks for showing us how to do the job . I’m thinking about tackling my F350 !
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I’m going to do this to my car
beautiful, appriciate what you be doing for us😎✊
Awesome, great work.
Looks sick bro 👌🏻👊🏻
Looks amazing. Wow
That stuff brush trick is a game changer for me bruh
Too dope brodie, u inspired me!!!
I’ve never seen anybody do this it looks like it would be so cool
At moments like this I’m glad you can always pay someone to do this
getting my new jeep soon, gonna be doin this thanks broski, also fire brz
i loved this! im going to do this to my car
Love this dude. Gonna do it on my f80
What a beautiful car. I love the purple. Headliner looks awesome. I would of done maybe 5 or 6 stars and tell people it's a cloudy night. Haha Good job.
Why not project stars onto the headliner? Project anything you want. Disco balls do it.
@@ouknow1446 i mean its a black surface not ideal for projection and i dont see how it wouldnt be janky like how do you make it not janky you cant
@@grqfes Projection technology has come a long way. You might be impressed.
I used to use the word _janky_ in the 80s. Glad to see it is still around. ❤@@grqfes
Great video thanks man
Looks fire bro
Great video
Very clean
1:26 the smaller drill bits are called wire bits. I am a watchmaker and used them in watch repair
I was just going to say this. I’m a watch maker too.
I see the video is around a year old now. Very interested to know how good or bad the part has been after a year, in terms of brightness and if there has been any issues with the part itself!
Hey what have you been able to find out?
I need this mod!
I love seeing your car at shows its so fire
Bro that’s sick.
Nice job bro. 👍
crazy, ty for this video too
Man I was confident to try this until i seen this video, DAmnnn this a lot of work 😩😄
You did a great job guess I’ll try now lol
Great video thank you
Great video , you can spray black coat on holes before cutting the fiber obtic and then cut it and you will end's up getting good look for the roof.
I’d like it on my 07 s65 but it has alcantara, I’d like this in my e350 though, thanks for the video! Your car looks great too!
How do you accommodate the sliding part of the moonroof fold back headliner?
Yo BeaKhan I’m thinking of doing this project but with a toggle switch on my board for direct access, should I use a the use the fuse board to find power?
I have a GT86 seeing how good it looks in your brz i might cop it an see how it turns out
That is so sick I'm down for that
Thanks man
Looks good. I would have made some of the hole patterns constelations.
Good job man! Looks great. If you ever decide you want the extra cigarette lighter (12v port) you could always wire it to an ignition wire. There’s almost always an ignition wire or “remote turn on” wire, easily accessible, near the radio! Your car is beautiful :)
Thumbnail: Star light headliner on any car
Convertibles: Hold my beer
There is a trick, in convertibles you can watch the actual sky 😮
Okay, I'm installing theses. But also, I'd love to know where you purchased those rainbow road under glow lights lol
Go to oneuplighting. Thinking about buying one myself.
Lowglow. They do special runs and it runs out pretty fast.
What did you use to drill the holes w/o messing up the suede fabric?
Doing this to my 96 Impala soon
it says out of stock 😶🌫Great work also...the fact that he looks like meteors come thru to your car its crazy!!!!
Thks how cool 😎
that car made my jaw drop, wow
I would really like to know if the fiber cables or any cables from the installation rattle after installation when you are driving? That is the only fear stopping me from installing them
You can always tape the fibre optics down to the top side of the headliner
bro where did you get your underglow that jawn looks so nice
Hey I got a question, you know how like the thick cable and the big charger thingy isn’t that like all in the way ? Like once you got back to put the headliner on wouldn’t that like pop out once you put the headliner back on ? Im plan to do it in my
Hilux soon but not sure how everything will fit since the head liner needs to go back sitting flush
I love the Bass Pro Shops hat you’re wearing at the end of the video. Where’d you get that?
Fantastic job thanks for sharing! How much is the fibre optic kit and parts please?? Kind regards and thanks
Im sure theyll be an esier instal in future. Or just a stellar 12v projector
So nice! Wonder if this is possible with my convertible
Very Nice and I see you got time!!! lol
Yeah, im not messing with my headliner and those airbags... lol
This looks like it took a few days. Thats a lot of work. Sheesh!
How’s that easy? lol
I mean it took only 6 minutes and 44 seconds so
@@yami6268😂😂😂😂😂😂
well it's not hard work it just takes a lot of time
Currently doing it and it's not hard just time consuming.
@@michaeldelgado5895how long did it take you? And is it worth it?
good diys dont need friend to help, i don't have friends to help
Does the kit supply the fiber optic wire with different thicknesses to produce bigger stars? Or are you threading more than one line into a single hole?
thank you bro
I have a customer wanting this done but am wondering about couple of things. Is it advisable to go further forward on the headliner i.e. closer to the windshield than shown? Also, do the components rattle after installation and take up a lot of room?-posing a headliner reinstallation issue?
i wish i was your customer you seem to care..! good on you!
@@V0N32 came to say this😂 man takes pride in his work
I wouldn’t take advice the guy who did it all wrong lol
If you are worried about rattling you can probably glue the components to the metal roof instead of the headliner, it depends on the headliner if there is enough room I say just take it off and measure before you put it in to make sure you have the space
@@Kanjo_Touge_Wangan ya I would not have put the components in the headliner but other than that he did alright
Nice!!! What glue did you use?
Saw the push button for the LED lights in the glove box and immediately was like ayyyyeeee me too my man
What kinda cable did u use to make it longer
So, there's enough spaces on top of the headliner for the light modules/bluetooth antenna or is this just on the Brz?
What about somehow drilling down just enough to get the fiber optic cables to just rest on the roof side of the fabric? Are they bright enough to show through a layer of fabric?
They wont, u still have to drill. Smaller holes are preferable
@Muneeb Khan maybe thumb tack would make a smaller hole but big enough for the strands?
u really wanna be that precise with ur drill 500+ times in a row?
very nice
Would you need more strings for a bigger roof or is 450 still fine.
It looks great bro but where’s the ones for the front and some in the middle?
For instance, since it’s very low power, if you were doing what I do, I sometimes I go cross-country to see my sister and I will sleep in the car at a truckstop or something like that that would make a wonderful nightlight. I wonder can you fix it so it it gently sucks off the battery because or put a battery on it so it could be out on for a few hours at night just wondering.
Can you please provide me the link of the tool you used to cut the excessive stars in the end? I want them to be cut right by the edge I saw you used a plyer but i need the exact size and same amount of tilt to cut exactly from the edge of the headliner. Thanks !
ive seen many people get good results with even a nail clipper, just something that trims close
Fire
Hey man, did you cut the optic fiber very close to the headligner or did you leave some extra?
Cut it very close because if you have the glue on the back side they won’t pull out or anything
