    I have gone full EGO for all my lawn accessories. I have the blower, string trimmer, edger, hedge trimmer, LOVE them all. Batteries are incredible. I have 2.5 acres of yard with a ton of concrete and these tools will weed eat and edge the whole thing without issue. I love not having to try and crank a stubborn 2 stroke or running out of gas in the middle of the job. I always have a spare battery available

    My friend has this model and I have used it quite a bit plus I have loaded the line on it. 13' of line loads a full spool. EGO has a 18" Chain saw w/ a 5AH battery, standard size bar and chain, weighs 14.5 lbs including the 5 lb battery and it turns 11,000 rpms. That saw would hang with any 50cc gas chainsaw. • @Aepek
    @Aepek Před 4 lety +3

    If that self winding works, & works well.... That alone would be worth the price tag, cuz let’s face it. Nobody likes to wind up new string into their trimmers. Come on, admit it, you all know what I’m talking about, doing the trimmer dance, of when you load up the head with new string, after you figured out, finally, how to wind the thing......and then you go to snap it into the head; AND BANG! It all unwinds on you😂 So much fun, ain’t it😉
    Been using the Ego edger for last month, & I’ve been impressed, as its my first Ego OPE & I’m liking it (also, that battery not as bad as I thought would be; cuz the trimmer is pretty balanced👍🏻).
    Like the reviews Vince, b/c not only do you unbox the tool, talk about it, but you ACTUALLY show us video of using the tool (w/o making it wait for a 2nd Vid).
    Don’t mean to knock on other channels, but when you’re doing a review/unboxing, imo, ya gotta show us the unboxing & the tool in action & not just talk about it.
    The other great thing Vince, you give pretty great tips & tricks for using the tools, how awesome is that
    Cheers✌🏼

If only to reduce costs of multiple power heads. Trimmer, edger, hedge trimmer, etc. Possibly Kobalt, Milwaukee QUIK LOK, or Makita, but i DEFINITELY wouldn't settle for single use OPE in the battery platform. If only to reduce costs up front. Awesome video! EGO makes great lawn tools but I was wondering what's the big deal with such a strong shaft? it's not like people dual with the trimmer. Also wouldn't the EGO POWER+ Multi-Head System be a better bank for the buck since ppl can just swap out the heads for different purposes without a bunch of tools lying around the garage?

    • @anthonysolis4163
      @anthonysolis4163 Před 4 lety +1

      I was using the trimmer on the multi-head system but got frustrated when the head wore down so much it made re-stringing the line a chore. That's when I bit the bullet and bought this weed eater instead and I haven't regretted it! I've since converted my multi-head weed eater to a brush cutter blade and still enjoy using it as an attachment.

    • @AirWick219
      @AirWick219 Před 4 lety +1

      @@anthonysolis4163 mhmmm, if there is an issue with the head attachment, wouldn't you just replace that head or send back to EGO from the warranty? Or did you meant the head wore down faster because it is a multi-head system? I am confused. It's like if you get a flat tire, you probably would just change that tire rather than just bit the bullet and buy a brand new car.

    • @marnold2777
      @marnold2777 Před 3 lety +1

      Trimmer attachment for multi head isn’t carbon fiber. Also doesn’t have power load feature. Also, you don’t really save much money doing the trimmer attachment v the standalone trimmer. It was only a $40 difference for me. I consider it $40 well spent. It’s so light and well balanced compared to other trimmers used.

      100 times better then the dewalt. Have never tried the Milwaukee trimmer. Ego batteries are amazing I get 30 to 40 min trimming using it on regular task but the power is there on thicker and taller grass and weeds

      I think this string trimmer is really nice and surprisingly powerful!
