It's been a long time since I took the Senton out for a proper bash, so I decided to dust it off and go all out. Once again, this truck proves it's toughness by taking on jumps that should never be attempted by a SCT on a windy day and surviving. The only damage after all this high flying was a bent shock tower and some stripped screws on the base of the roll cage. Aside from the body being all beaten up (it was old anyway), nothing actually broke. The truck was still good to go afterwards.

That's a fair effort with a SCT body Vas! With the body parachuting like they do. Impressive.
It might of actually helped keep it up a bit longer! But let's face it after that your at the mercy of the currents, as we saw when it did a 180 mid air!

I've definitely came to a conclusion Vas.... The Traxxas Slash has built a reputation on the ability to a beating.... I'm sure the drivetrain o.k...but the real reason is because the shell protects against open wheel catastrophes...

Love how tough these cars are. I've done similar with my Senton, and I had the same body breaks and I managed to rip the front lower a arm pin out of the diff case. Pretty minor damage compared to other manufacturer vehicles if they went on the same jump.

I bought both a Senton v1 and a Kraton v1 based on Vas's reviews and running videos and Vas was straight 1000% correct and I love them both. The version 1's had some issues with the ESC's but I knew that before I got them so I was prepared for any issues ahead of time and I swapped mine out the day I bought the Rc's and dropped in a MM2 system in the Kraton and the Mamba X system in the Senton.
My personal favorite 1/8th scale Rc is absolutely without a doubt my Kraton with the Senton a close second. I highly recommend Arrma Rc's especially now that they fixed the electronic issues once and for all with a rebranded Hobbywing.
My understanding is that Arrma upgraded several other things also on the V2 rigs so you should be very happy with either of them. I wish Hobbywing would send me one of those systems to test out, I would love to do a video series and compare the Hobbywing system with the Castle systems I own. I would like to run my Castle systems and video the runs then take out the Castle systems and replace it with the Hobbywing system and do the exact same runs using the same truck, same batteries and the same gearing to really see which system was the best bang for the money. I have seen lots of comparisons but never seen a exact direct comparison, they all have been using a different Rc and batteries never the exact same....But I am not holding my breath for Hobbywing to hook me up....lol but I would love to see how they do when everything is as exactly the same as humanly possible
I have a Kraton V1 and a Typhon V1 because of this channel also and love both of them. I'm running 1/5 scale electronics in my Kraton and have been for about a year and have had no problems at all. I got a Nero Big Rock about a month and a half ago and I do have to say so far I'm not liking it at all. It breaks all the time cause it's SO HEAVY.
+KillerOffRoadHobbyz That's interesting, I can't complain too much about my Nero. My friend Phil has a Nero and recently bought the Big Rock and so far no issues there either. The only think that he did break on the Nero was a shock shaft, of all things. Complete freak accident that I haven't heard anyone else having the same breakage. Since replacing it, I don't think he's had any problems. As for mine, well, you've seen what put it through and I really have to push it to cause some damage.
The Nero platform isn't perfect, but it's not that bad either. I like that's it's different from the others, I like the locking diffs and I love the speed they have and how you can actually go that speed. Personally, I think they're very strong RCs, but (disclaimer ahead) when things go wrong all that extra weigh/mass will cause things to break. To put it into prospective, the Nero is only a couple of kilos lighter than the X-Maxx, which is considerably larger. In fact, I think the difference is even less. I've held both in my hands and couldn't tell much of a difference at all.

The biggest jump I took with my Senton and Kraton was a hill of hard packed sand roughly 15 to 18 foot high on 6S the landings were on level grass and both rigs came through with no damage other than a cracked body from the body posts punching through on the Senton and a blown shock cap on Kraton but considering the heights and speed I was amazed at how tough the Arrma's really are. I have beat the snot out of both especially the Kraton and I still have the original arms on both, I havent had a day cut short out bashing because something broke (knock on wood) You can beat the heck out of them and as long as you land on the wheels you can drive away.

Why do you twitch all the time, especially when going down that ramp? Wouldn't it be easier with a slow linear throttle push to keep the car in line for the big jump? Would also give you more end speed, maybe. Just curious! I'm more into quads but if I find a ramp for my sabertooth I never say no!
Omg that's crazy I took my berserker to that track a few days ago and only jumped the medium jumps about 1.5mts height . I struggle to run up onto the top of that jump !!!!!

Im thinking of getting the Senton or Kraton hence i need something that handles most offroad surfaces that is well balanced and can jump also fun to drive. The Senton seems to look more than a buggy chasis though its a SCT so which Senton or Kraton? Thx in advance guys.

Can you do a review in the wl toys a959? Or the a959b? The first can be bought for around $40 and the second for about $80 US. They have a lot of metal upgrades and replacement parts available. Curious to see what your thoughts on hem are.

Yes, there are a lot of bodies that will fit the Senton.

I just bought a arrma senton for 350 on sale and I have no battery to run it with because mine are all t connectors and 4-6s is really more than a teen can afford who only gets paid during summer months

on 4s it is very hard if not impossible to handle the senton in the air, it doesn't flip, maybe on 6s. i have my senton and the issue is real.....
If it wernt for that roll cage your fun would have ended way earlier....
