  • In this video, I am going to show you how to build a DIY farmhouse coffee table completely out of 1x6 (onebasix) spruce lumber. This woodworking project uses pocket hole joinery to keep it approachable for beginners. I have these DIY coffee table plans available, linked below. This is a beautiful DIY coffee table with storage that most people can build with basic woodworking tools. Building a coffee table this size can seem intimidating at first, but you can do it! You can build your own using this how to build a coffee table video guide along with the woodworking plans. I love building new woodworking projects that are approachable by most anyone, even beginners. It is an awesome feeling as a beginner woodworker to build a coffee table like this and know you did it. This DIY farmhouse style coffee table features a bottom shelf and X brace detail on each end. You can leave the X brace off if you prefer. The bottom shelf gives you much needed extra storage in your living room. I would like to think Delta Power Equipment Corporation for sponsoring this video.

Can you please make a video for "third graders" lol on how to use a bosch palm router? From what bit to buy and why , how to install it , which one to choose from and why , do you start it first and than put it on the wood or put it on the wood and than start the router , the best speed , if accessories from bosch are needed/why and where to buy. Sorry for the lengthy question lol and if you already have this video I have not yet found it :). Thank you in advance.

I’ve had a raised corner a time or two in table tops. I was told it was my clamping pressure and pocket holes pulling the same direction. Ever heard of this? Anyway since I changed up alternating pocket hole direction and clamp pressures, the tops lay flat. And yes, I always edge cut my boards

I have to tackle this project head on.....even living in an apartment isn't going to stop me.
One thing I want to try an incorporate into the design is some "hidden drawers" or some type of "hidden compartment".
I have been watching so videos of old 16th, 17th, and 18th century writing tables. One thing that they all had in common, besides the amazing hand carved designs, is thatthey all had hidden compartments or drawers.
I'm just fascinated with the idea of pressing part of a table, and a hidden drawer pops out.

Remodeling my kitchen with new gray cabinets, white marblish countertop with gray veining, and white subway tile backsplash with gray grout. Thinking I’ll build one of these tables for living room next to dining room & kitchen, with wood painted to match cabinets and a tile top to match kitchen backsplash. Might also do a dining table to match, though I’m a bit uneasy about doing a tile top for a dining table.

Man I’ve mad a few work benches and sold them. My everyday job doesn’t give me the same satisfaction I get when building something for someone. So I do want to make this a business. The awesome thing I feel I could take advantage of is the fact that there is a building boom Going on right now in my area, and those end tables look like a good start.

I just built a end table similar to that for a client. The Xs on the end I used Titebond quick set and a couple of quick clamps for a minute or two and it worked great. Didn't need the brads.
