  • In this video I create a beautiful farmhouse style end table made out of regular construction lumber that you can find at any big box hardware store. This is a great video for anyone looking to make some great looking, low cost furniture, or for any woodworking business looking for popular, high margin items.

Always clamp when adding pocket hole screws! It prevents the wood from shifting! Friendly instruction!

Nice build. I use my trash cans for a work bench sometimes too.

Have you had a tabletop split- had one do that- now I use figure 8 clips to hold the top down to the base.

Hey Van, I have built a farmhouse dinner table but I never developed plans for it. There are a few pictures that I posted on my instagram acocunt (one of the earlier posts) if you want to see a picture of what it looked like.

this has been the table build I've liked the most...and I've seen 100's of farm table videos. the instructions seem straight forward, but would you by chance have the plans available for purchase? If anything, exactly what is the length of the 2x4 and 1x6? I'll go through the video again, in case I've missed it...lol...Thanks for sharing.

Hey Angela! Thanks for the kind words. Check out the video at 1:08 as that's where I have all my dimensions. If that doesn't help answer your question then let me know.

Thank you!! Can’t wait to start this…my first table, and I’m afraid I’m being too ambitious with this one…seriously nice table and great work!!

@@AngieD300 never think like that. Mistakes are how we learn and improve so never be afraid to try a new project. Here is a tip that might help you on your first table. Since you are are going to be painting the legs, your joints and seams don't have to be perfect. If you have a small gap in any of the connections just used some paintable silicon caulk to fill the gaps (using it almost like a wood putty) and then do a light sanding before you paint over it. It will make your work look near perfect when you're done.
Good luck! Once you finish it, tag me on Instagram so that I can see your work :)

@@EigenDesigns I really appreciate that tip about the silicone caulk. Definitely feel better about “learning from the mistakes”. I will definitely tag and share once it’s completed!! Thank you!!
