Love the Honeydew. My wife used a couple of ounces in a homemade peach, pecan and Honeydew bourbon ice cream recipe. Delicious! The first time in my life I craved bourbon with ice cream. We shared a little with Gil. You can ask him how he liked it? I'm looking forward to trying the Laguna Madre this weekend! Keep up the great work. Nice job on the video. You guys are a nice couple. What a life...enjoy.
Paid 92.00 in Michigan. It has a nice flavor and has notes I don't find in any Kentucky bourbon that I have tried. I do think it is a tad overpriced. Would like to see these bottles in the $50.00 to $60.00 range. It's almost unattainable for the average working folk.
I paid $85 for a bottle of this HoneyDew (it was my very first bottle of Garrison Brothers Whiskey I ever tried), and it was really, really off putting. It tasted like beeswax and I got zero fruit notes (which I believe where "elderberry syrup, fleshy yellow peaches, and apricots"). The nose was almost that of bourbon and a fresh box of Crayola Crayons. I have it to my sister and she caught the same flavors as I did, and since I hate pouring out a whiskey that's undrinkable, she optimistically is going to try it in a Hot Toddy to perhaps see if there can be a final redemption for it in that. Such a sad, discouraging intro to the brand...
