I appreciated learning to cook the stems early with the onion. That makes so much sense.

I just made this and it was fabulous! Made it as a main fish served w hot sour dough bread. Wish I made double the recipe. I did add bacon. Now a favorite!

I grow Chard in my gardens.
Raw Chard leaves are good with Cuben sandwich.

I add some kidney beans, red pepper flakes, garlic salt. With enough beans, this becomes a vegetarian main course. Also, a few minutes before it's done, I add a few Campari tomatoes cut in half with the lid put on and some water in the pan. The tomatoes take on a whole different flavor absorbing the steam from everything, though you have to watch them, or they turn to mush.

Sounds good. I'm about to go cook some chard.. stems first and then the leaves.. but i don't do garlic or onions, so it will be pretty plain. That's OK. FYI, you referred to kale when I believe you meant chard at about or just before 8:00.

For me, the best part was incorporating at least some stem!

@@kirannathani9079 he said that he prefers to use young chard for salad greens. The older leaves do better cooked, but get creative and enjoy.

I cook kale, swiss chard and rapini all the time. Disagree about butter. Olive oil , garlic and hot pepper flakes is all you need. Cherry tomatoes would be a nice option
