"bro dont think about it just do it"
HAHAHHAHAHAHA yeah bro😂

You always got that one friend who gotta flex when ur learning lol 😂
It was good inspiration at the time too lol
I have a friend who gets most the tricks we try first try. It’s really making me frustrated lol 😂
He is just tryna have fun stfu

That's me with mah homies im tryna hyped the one learning.. stfu

felt lmao
i got commitment issues, but i'm gonna be there for you
bro i tried to drop in today and fell forward bc ig i leaned too much and my teach litearlly said i commited too much fml
@@danielacordova5869 don’t worry, with experience you’ll learn when to commit and when NOT to commit😂
@@danielacordova5869 you have a skating teacher? :o
To do a drop in u HAVE to put most of ur weight on ur front foot (lean forward) not too much cuz u will fall forward and crush that beautiful unique face of yours :)
I just dropped in this weekend on a two footer. :)
Everyone told me to lean as much forward as i could because you cant fall forward... I fell forward
Yes you need to stomp as soon as your about to drop in and lean forward
@@madeliefvalentijn6611 your foot was probably on your nose of your board. Keep your front foot just covering the bolts or leave the front two visible and lean forward and keep duck that shoulder down. I promise you won’t fall forward lol that is unless you just throw yourself off the ramp
What you actually want to do is get your front truck hit the ramp asap
I don't even have any friends that skate, I'm trying to learn, but I'm too shy to do it by myself. I live in Manchester, UK and asked some random guys to maybe help me with learning but they just made fun of me.
go to a skatepark, dont annoy anyone, talk to people, if people fall of their board and it goes flying near you then pick it up and give it to them. thats what i do and the skatepark is rly chill now, im still struggling with drop ins and i feel like i can walk up to anyone and ask for help now and i am honestly terrible with social shit
hey, i’m a new skater from manchester too (by new i mean, NEW. can barely even ride). i’ve got 2 more friends who are also just as bad as me if not better, you should skate with us sometime, it’s better with friends :)
Most people at the skatepark are super chill seems like you just came across the occasional douches
Yeah I just started skating too with one of my friends but everyone else who skates in our area is really good, I haven’t been to a skatepark yet but I live in Colchester and there aren’t many skateparks as well
Im from leeds and tbh ,same . Especially as a girl skater
My drop ins always felt sketchy until I skated with some friends who were skating back in the 70s. When they drop in they touch the tip of the deck with their fingers. It feels SO MUCH better!
i get speed wobbles i feel like im not leaning forward enough
I tried that and it slipped from under me and i busted my chin open and hadda get 4 stitches😔so i dont recommend touching the tip.
@@Alexis-jr2sz i busted my chin open doing the exact same thing lol
It’s because it forces you to learn forward! You don’t have to rely on your actions because then you try to bail so it’s basically just that you’re now leaning forwards properly! If you want to try hovering your hand over instead of holding and you’ll learn to just lean
Tighten your trucks
This is why I love skateboarding! You can hear the legit stoke when he did it. The guy bombing, was simply showing him confidence and commitment for him to do it, otherwise he’d be somewhere else, guaranteed. I wish the world could see how, what is happening in this video, can be applied to anything in life. People helping people succeed.
that half pipe seems so cool
Edit: The whole skatepark seems so cool
i feel like i would try smth stupid and somehow fly over the top lmao
Half pipes are vert. This is mini ramp
its in auburn
Ya it does right
It looks dumb/unforgiving, why wouldn't there be more flat at the top?
Some friends you have they laugh at you instead of trying to help.
Gotta love that peer pressure right🤣😎
@@ElijahMoves i would glady help you tough. Dropping in is scary it's all in the front foot and trying to turn off the fear and just go but thats allso scary 👍
My friend thinks he is cool Cuz he has a skateboard but he acts like poser and I get embarrassed when I'm with him
@@joemiranda-kn2ky tell him to just stand on the board and roll the best trick is just rolling at the start
@@ElijahMoves that's all they could have given you! you were super close! i know this clip is four years old but its inspiring me to try dropping in again, haven't tried since august 2017 lmao
The only way to learn how to drop in is trusting to let your body go straight down with the board which is a weird feeling
I literally have to tell myself "If you feel like you wanna fall, lean forward."
Skater: there you happy youtube
Me: yeh I’m satisfied
Yeh
A cameraman who know how to narrate and has knowledge on proper lighting?? More Please. Earned ya self a sub
on skates too!!
Tried today for the first time..fell 4 times and still can’t get over it, now I’m here watching videos like these..dunno why it’s not going to help me so shaking when I finally get up there again on Friday
omg at least you tried! i’m still too scared!
ayyyy similar pfpp
if u quit after falling 4 times maybe skating isn't the hobby for you
I've felt that way so many times about so many different tricks. It's tough but its normal. Keep at it and you'll get there.
If it helps, learned it differently. Learn pumping and tail stall first. Once your comfortable with tail stalls dropping in is the same movement.
Dude falling 4 times is nothing
this is honestly so motivating, i just picked up skateboarding and got about a few days practice in but I’m enjoying it. it’s hard asf though, wish there were skater friends I could have teach me but these videos help me too
A cool tip I learned from a friend is to keep your shoulder over your knee the entire time and you’ll be fine.
This video reminds me my hard times... I was afraid to drop almost ANY kind of ramp for two years or so. One moment I just commited a lot of tries, get bodied, but after two succesful drops I just felt that. That feeling was awesome. If you drop transition like this you can drop almost anything. My advice is to learn to drop in wooden ramp so you don't hurt urself much. And remember - bailing is necessary half of success in skateboarding. Once you bail you know how to handle this next time and you will do it in a few (maybe a little bit more) tries.
It was fine that he talked shit until he revealed his rollerblades.
Is dropping in on blades not harder
@@hidro464 Yes it is, much easier to turn the back of your head into mush, plus you cant jump off.
@Originz Foundations he’s wearing blades tho, roller skates are the ones with trucks on them.
Also are we still not over this dumb debate with skateboarders and bladers?
Who's to say he can't drop in on a skateboard as well? A lot of bladers I know can do basic stuff on a skateboard as well like dropping in, Ollie's, shuv-its etc.
I personally identify as a blader who occasionally skateboards and mountain bikes. Thankfully nowadays the toxic and homophobic jibes at bladers have mostly stopped with the younger generation, but obviously you still get some as seen here.
@мила yeah overall you're pretty spot on. In the past couple of years since I've gone back to it I've only had two people outwardly mock me and they weren't skaters at all. They were just men my age with big bellies whose only hobby is getting drunk on the weekend and trying to cheat on their Mrs.
Me and my friends are rough with each other when we try to learn tricks. It actually helps get over the fear and shit too.
This is the most nostalgic video I've ever watched and I wasn't even there.

@Retain your seed and be a king yo that's cool! I been told its easier with the right foot but I skate with left so idk, whatever works for me
ah shit even me bein 20 i skated so damn much past couple days my achilles tendon fucked up rn lol
Same here at 21 bruh
This makes me happy and sad because they'll look back at this video some day 20 years later and reminisce the good old times they had with each others.
Oohhh! That reminds me of very horrible injuries of people who saw me skate in a mini-Ramp & they thought 💭 yeah! This looks easy & then … broken 🦴's etc.
I started skating in the mid 80's, when sidewalk surfing was still a thing. Learning how to lean into corners and curves really helped when I tried my first drop in. That's where I have new skaters start. Your first board should be a cruiser. Big, soft wheels, and the pure joy of rolling. It's a much easier way to learn than a street skate. Then you can specialize from there.
LMAOOOOOOO that friend that every time u mess up he just flexes
Ayyy nice! Still working on basic shit like this, it's fun watching other people learn what I am.
2:38 replay
First time i did this, I leaned back like that guy, fell and broke the ball in my ankle in half and had to get it screwed back together. Been 15 years and I never tried again. I'm going to this summer.
Let us know how it goes
Update?
Im still learning, almost there ! Falling isnt that bad its the hesitation/ over thinking that doesn’t sucks
The pressure of other skaters is unbelievable. Just let me learn homies!
That's how you learn...
When I was a beginner this was the first thing I learned and honestly this was easy as heck-
@Marianne Klunder thats true but it really comes down to bending ur knees and he's keeping them really stiff
Tips for new skaters it doesn’t matter how big or sketchy the first drop in ever is, even if it’s tiny it’s still going to be scary as shit
I love the support you guys show him 😊 big ups! ❤
Im like 5 years late but as soon as you said "has anyone watched silent library" liked the video. I've been watching that shit before bed on my pc lately
I ate concrete on that mini when I was drunk day skating, fun little park though!
This. I have learned this on a tiny ass ramp... Got three in a row, waited a minute, and bam. It's gone. Forget everything you've learned you're starting over. You're trying to commit and put all your weight forward, but your brain just won't let you! It's not even physically hard, it's only a problem in your head. And the worst that'll happen is the good ol' involuntary manual.
Not gonna lie, the thing that beginners can do that's harder than dropping in, is how they can easily stick a rock to fakie
When that person learns it in one day and flex on his friend back😏. That's a good come back
It's the silent library reference for me 🤣💜
i love how he randomly started talking about silent library xD
props to him for doing it alone, my friend had to help me atleast 5 times until i got the balls to do it alone
my friend had to help me like 15 times haha
oh god i felt terrible for not being able to do this , and even more so with all the pressure with this "poser stuff" trending , thank you for giving me encouragement and strength to continue
The feeling of someone else doing a trick that you’re trying to do right in front of you is the worst
just some uncut 2016 fotage of some guys having fun learning stuff no amongus or clickbait... i love it
1:17 nice boat brah 😄
love these random videos
If you can, find a backyard pool to skate in with friends for a day or more. Coming back to a skatepark will feel much more mellow & you'll be alot more confident in yourself to drop in.
Yo congrats on your first drop in! I still can’t even push properly😅
My best tip is to put your front foot on your board and compress your front knee and lean forward before you actually push your board down
I just did my first drop in 2 days ago!💕
Think about it this way, he just did a manual down halfpipe.. now that's impressive. But seriously when you first start, draw a line in the middle of the halfpipe, then drop down until you see that line and that helps you lean into it for beginners. At least that's what I did.
Every skater knows the feeling of when your back slams the ground... I was waiting for that to happen
I love the guy who films, idk how to explain it but he seems so funny and nice
always practice your roll up into fakie first so you know what to do on the way back
Ah, I'm glad I got this recommended white ice/heat-ing my SI joint injury that I got from dropping in on my hips 5 times in a row :D Love that for me
Yesterday, i tried to drop in for my first time ever and i fell on my back. It still kinda hurts.... im now scared to try it again lolz
Keep trying you can do it! I tried for the second time a week ago and hurt my hip alot
The mall grabbing is fire
great job dropping in is sooo hard great job not kidding dude
That looks like a pretty sick park
Hell yeah dude C: I’ve only had a real board for about a year. (Had a shitty Walmart board before) you inspire me to push past my fears
You gotta be crazyy to do those first time.
Great job for first go! You're kind of rolling in though; gotta make sure you really stomp that front foot.
Getting back into skateboarding and this ended up on my feed, and it really reminds me of why I loved it. I'd love to see how these guys are doing now
I’m so happy rn I just did my first 14 foot drop in on a deep deep bowl
What skatepark this at? Hard to find a 14foot deep bowl
Hopefully going to be learning to drop in tmw
you dropped in yet?
2:06 that jump though 👌
I learned this a week ago during my first session after a loong time. I'm 30yrs and haven't been skateboarding for tha last 18 yrs. You can do it too. :)
Awesome. I used to ride a great big wooden half pipe ramp back in the 1980s but never tried dropping in. I would start at the bottom on the flat and work myself up higher and higher until I could just about reach the coping on the vert. I remember another guy there once who was going to drop in for the first time but he did not have the guts to go through with it.
I got back into skating recently. Maybe I can finally learn to drop in. But there are no big half pipe ramps around here anymore. Only small / shallow bowls (which should make things easier.)
@@anzaeria You can do it! Patience is the key. Just dropped in a decent bowl last weekend. Was watching a group of chicks doing it and it gave me extra motivation to give it a try. My advice: bend your knees and lean in. That was the trick for me. Once you get it it becomes less sketchy.
1:32 I hate how no body cheered when he did a shuvet smith stall
You got a point I was too young 😩😅🤷🏾♂️
great job, now i feel better about trying, thanks :)
Go for it, only gets better the more you try🙏🏾
First drop in straight to rock to fakie lol dudes a natural
why do I keep coming back to this video every 6 months it’s been 2 years.
Quick learner! This guy is probably at the Olympics this year.
I came here to watch a dude drop in not be given a nostalgia trip
With this kind of stuff I sit there for a minute and take in how deep it is and then I’m like oh it’s not bad then I know if I eat crap I’ll be ready to fall right same with skiing and jumps
Teasing then busts out the “I’m on skates” 😂
Us camera guys dont get enough credit lol
1. Don't lean back
2. Lean forward
3. Press foot down and lean into it!
4. Keep practicing until you get the basics down
5. Move onto something higher and bring those skills with you!
6. Commit and wear pads for more confidence
You just gotta fkn stomp that front foot down like your trying to kill the biggest spider of your life lmao
Bro I remember learning lmao, slamming down the front and committing is absolutely terrifying lol.
That mini ramp is sick
It took me a lot of tries to learn how to drop in because there are no small ramps at my local skatpark (which also happens to be the only skatepark in my city lmao), so I would drop in a quarter of the ramp and then just think its over and I'd just fall on my face
man i wish i had some homies like this to chill with :(
that ramp is actually called a mini, they are technically harder to learn that using a big half pipe, the mini requires you to be ready quicker than the larger one, sounds weird, but you begin rolling really soon with the mini than the larger one, giving you less time to advance in technique, it almost forces you to roll right off of the bat, that's why his first few attempts were him rolling on the back because the wheel started spinning before he could put weight on the front.
This is about to be on everyone’s for u page in a couple months
Respect for trying until he got it, that's what skating is all about
I just watched this and was like: “he’s not leaning forward”
This is every beginer worst Nightmare
Good on him 🤙🏻😎
You had it at 2:20......ride away into the sunset bro. Reminds me of the time I tried to drop in for the first & ONLY time. Much bigger ramp.......totally face planted. Slammed right into the ground and bounced. I put TOO much weight on the front foot. It was a little steeper......basically I had no business being on that ramp
i feel the struggle. learning to axle stall also sucks
Gnarly bruh, gnarly.
i found myself cheering him on lol
My whole skatepark was watching my buddy try his first drop in and literally everyone started a chant until he gave in and dropped in. Ate total shit though hahahaha
The kid in the DC shirt Loki showed off 😂
Is this Washington? I swear I've seen this park
“No peer pressure”
Proceeds in: “lameee” and “he can keep rock to fakieng over here”
These guys seem like such nice friends-
My friends know how to roller skate but none of them know how to skateboard :( So i'll have to do it on my own using CZcams and all that.
