get a 2020 discovery hse lux - brilliant cars, comfortable etc i have a 23 defender, but my 2020 hse lux in levels above and you can get one for decent price - would love to see you get one and do some Calvins car camping vids :) Just get the 3l sdv6

Cool af. I drove a 90 for work a few years ago. I drove it all over North Wales, did some miles and loved it. Surprisingly powerful feeling and good to drive. Nice vid :)

Not too familiar with LR engines other than a Td5, if the Td5 is the most reliable engine they made, they never set the bar very high 😂😂 but, part of their charm!
The check returns as showing the car is green in colour. Not sure if you need to inform anybody about this?

Bloody hate them things on the road awful. But give it a field and you forget the road driving. You need to experience the 4x4 and getting muddy to appreciate them.
THe Defender is a 98-02 td5 10P engine, R380 gearbox and it's a sort after Double Cab, non ABS. So the VIN should read: SALLDHF87(w-1)A****** if it's a genuine double cab. private ££'s is about 10ish, as 10p td5, not as desirable as the 300tdi or 15p td5. forcourt, 16-18k provided it has a FSH and is immaculate (obviously this depends where you actually are), which it's not as had change of colour and the plate is not with it - so to be fair, get that removed before advertising it. 😛also a lot of the interior is not there!! Roof lining is about £500 as it's a DC (different to all the others) no carpets/mats, back door is rusty as F**k! Parts of the dash are missing, basically it's a bit of a basket case! 😞Seats devalue it too.
You'll be spending about £4000 to get that to pristene condition and you'll not be making a peny on it if you do it right.
The 300tdi was undoubtebly the most reliable and best engine as it was offered all through the td5 era and actually was made later (2 days apparently) than the td5. td5 has a few fairly show stopper issues, mainly around the fuel system but nothing that will totally kill the vehicle other than holed pistons but then almost anything can have that if the injectors fail.
Be advised the Defender is an off road vehicle with road capability, it's only one of a very select few that are that way around, most are road vehicles with off road capability. The key is the Defender has a long heritage of vehicles dating back to 1948 and the Series 1! There are a few parts of that vehicle that have not changed in design from that first production model.
On the video, you waffle too much. you change subject half way through the sentence, so it's not great to follow. learn a bit more about what you're selling and you're a bit vain, who cares who is looking at you... most people won't be looking at a Defender driving down the street! Good job you didn't see another one and get a wave, you'd have creamed your panties!
