To comment on the what we should be complaining about... the entry prices.
I mentioned it on another video, Polaris upped the base 850 HL by thousands. It is now priced where the 1000 HL was and it's only update has been adding the newer, but still old display.
There is zero justification for upping the price $3500.
And the 850 touring got arched A-arms, also for $3500.
Which these prices are at least double the inflation rate.

I think what bothers me more than the Greedy prices is the fact that the average guy can’t afford them.
10-15 years ago, your average working guy/gal could afford the average Atv or SxS and not have to settle for the budget level.
Prices have skyrocketed, but salaries have only creeped up slightly.
Sure there’s loads of rich guys buying gold plated ohv’s but those guys aren’t paying their employees enough to afford the tires on one.

Its not overpriced if they sell them all. All of the manufacturers have vehicles at all different price levels. Not everyone can afford a Cadillac, some of us have to drive Hyundais and that's ok. Just like most people never use their car/truck/suv to its full capability/capacity, there are a lot of people buying a lot more atv/sxs than they really need. Anyone can afford anything, just depends on how you prioritize everything.

You literally would have to be in the top 10% income earners to reasonably afford a $30k UTV. There no longer the $15k options anymore that were attainable to the top 40 to 30% of earners. The point is a significant amount of the market is priced out.

Two-seat Tracker 800 LE at Cabela’s/Bass Pro for under $15k. CF Moto Zforce 950 HO EX is $15,799 and that’s the most expensive starting price in their lineup. I'll be very interested to see what happens when screens start to fail as they age or get damaged and leave people stranded in the backcountry. I think the industry (and those just starting in powersports) has/have lost sight of fun in exchange for creature comforts and allowing more inexperienced riders the comfort and ability to put themselves in more dangerous situations.

It's even more so for those with less experience.

We have north star edition rangers where i work, and belive me, they aint woth 40 grand. The heated cab is nice, but i can live without all the rest easily. I think people seem to forget the the more you move up in price, the features go up with it. Radio, navigation and adjustability. The issue really is base models. The “no frills” market has creeped up and almost to the point where you might as well spend the extra money. The ideology that if people stop buying the premium models, the manufacturers will have to come down in price needs to end. There will always be a premium; super high-end market. The difference now is the availability of technology. The market itself has evolved greatly over the last 10 years.

I personally dont think people understand the interest rates at all to be honest or just dont care, they want what they want.

The local powerhouse dealer has 11 expeditions in stock right now. They just are not selling. Polaris missed the mark big time on them they just aren’t worth the money. Suggesting that the reason they aren’t selling right NOW is because no one wants one isn’t accurate at all. The problem is that no one can afford one now that interest rates have gone up 5 points and cost of living is through the roof. The key here is can I as a consumer justify the cost associated to certain models. This can also be described as value. A lot of these new models are just over priced. Yes there’s new tech and inflation, BUT they’re using it as a Segway to inflating their profits. Sure, can’t afford it then don’t buy it. Then who are these side by sides for? I’m a family man with wiggle room. I just picked up a nice 2023 Polaris General XP4 premium. It cost me 20k less than the expedition that, in my opinion, is 85% of what that vehicle is. I get my family out and enjoy what the bush offers. Now, tell me it’s got nothing to do with inflated profits. And you guys nailed it, the budget friendly options don’t really exist and the manufacturers are justifying the “budget” prices by trailing the prices of these top end models. Trucks are no different! Corporate greed at its finest, knowing what consumers are used to having these days.

Times are changing and hopefully prices drop so we can start buying stuff again. I can def afford it but I refuse to bow to pure greed from the manufacturers. The same goes to auto manufacturers etc…. I used to be the guy who had 2 of everything. Now I’ve downsized to 1 of and focused on motorcycles for the time being, longer riding season and still reasonably priced for what you get.

The fear over price industry price, for normies like myself, is that we are actively seeing base models go away. Polaris is guilty of this with the sportsman ATVs. There is no true base model 1000 anymore. Nothing wrong with the bleeding edge costing more, but companies shifting away from producing a base model at all is a slippery slope to go down. It's part of what caused GM and Chrysler to go under. Now that being said, make no mistake, I have no issue with the ultra expensive models, they exist for a reason. People snatch them up immediately.

I can't speak for the Canadian market but as far as the US market when everybody was getting their COVID paychecks and going out and blowing the money that is when you seen the prices of items skyrocket. Once the money has finally flushed out The market will start to get back to some type of reality. Unfortunately as long as you can finance and ATV for 72 plus months the prices will continue more than likely. I'm afraid and the next 4 to 5 years we'll start to see 120 month finance options for items like these. For the longest time I couldn't understand how people could afford six-figure boats until I finally went to purchase one and when the guy gave me my monthly payment I was blown away and how small it was then I realized he had me financed for 20 years. I kind of chuckled and I looked at the guy and I said I'm good bud I'm not making payments for 20 years on something that will be worth maybe an eighth of that price by the time it's paid off.
But it finally made sense how people were able to walk into a store and walk out with 150,000 boat on a $40,000 a year income. Not too bright in my opinion.

So I bought a 24 1000 ranger XP Northstar Ultimatecrew cab. Yes I spent an insane amount of money on it . Got it in the end of august and I'm allready pushing into 1000 miles on it. I run a cattle ranch and honestly. I'd do it all over again. fencing in bad weather makes the cab worth it. cold Canadian winters its honestly a necessity. that ranger will run down country roads checking pastures faster than a truck, Basically the farm truck that would be getting beat to hell hardly ever gets drove which was the intention. save the 70K-100K farm truck for a 50-60K ranger. but the 1500 ranger exceeds that price point. And there is no way it's replacing a truck towing a 27 foot livestock trailer. Its a tool for me and the margins goes from "making sense" to "completely moronic" very quickly.

outlander Pro is awesome, bang for the buck and i like the idea of moving to better pricing, easy maintenance, and low NVH.. these are areas the ATV world needs to keep selling otherwise why even buy new or upgrade now with such high prices. the outlander pro should be a long life machine. for UTV I'm not sold of the Expedition for price and weight... id like to see a Defender and Commander cross then name it the Commander Limited... just having a cabbed Commander with Heat and windows that go down for 4 season riding would be my top pick and 120HP. don't need any fancy gadgetry or dual climate BS... its an offroad toy i want to be outside, otherwise id buy a Jeep and drive legally on road. (currently have a Commander Max XTP and its almost perfect) having said that a 2 machine garage for me would be a Defender Max Cab with heat and upgraded shocks, then a YXZ to bang gears and ride solo.... probably could pick both those up from the price of the full jam Expedition.

So guys def won’t be trading in their rig on a new model. They can’t get anything for them. I see SXS that would’ve been $15-17k used 18mths ago, on marketplace now for 10-12k. It really makes it hard to chunk down $25k on a new machine when you can pickup a 1yr old machine with low miles for $15 used with some accessories on it. I don’t believe they are going to drop msrp prices. Just slow production, lay off workers, and keep offering big incentives in the form of discounts. The dealers lots are all packed as is. No where for the product to go.

The problem we have in society is some people have so much money that it makes them stupid, those people go out and pay ridiculous amounts of money for this stuff, so these manufacturers can say look people are paying these prices. The honest fact of the matter is a lot of stuff has gotten way expensive way overpriced and people, even the people with lots of money need to quit paying these prices so things come down to more reasonable pricing. Some can say that the pricing on these things is justified, but when these prices start reaching the same or above the same price as a little pickup or Jeep, that is getting to the point of insanity. Do I like a lot of these expensive machines, of course I do. I would like to have some of them. But in no way am I going to pay the kind of money that they're asking. I've been pretty irritated with side-by-side pricing for the last few years which is why I haven't bought another one since selling my Razor in 2021. There's actually several things I'd like to buy in the Motorsport world but can't bring myself to pay these crazy prices. I finally broke down last year and paid the money to buy a new Arctic Cat m8000, and pretty much have regretted it ever since and now I can't get anywhere close to the money out of it that I feel I need. Having this experience with this snowmobile is going to make it even harder to want to buy anything else.

The Polaris Ranger electric is a lot of money for what you get, a compact tractor is a lot better investment for chores around the house or property, so will need a better argument for that one. The outlander is a great machine, the ATV market needs more small machines to attract young people or the industry will just fade.
The problem with CF Moto is build quality, I know they look good, but after I keep seeing them broken down on trails and nuts and bolts rattling off them, I am not convinced. The Yamaha looks like a great ride.
The Expedition is way over priced, it is easy to say this is awesome because it is, just forgetting that no one can afford one. (sorry kids no university for you) one guy was right - it should be very refined for that price. Love the Ranger, but again, way too expensive, for work around the farm - get a tractor for less and can do more.
I know you have to promote these vehicles, but if everything is expensive then young people will not be able to afford it and will never get into the lifestyle, so in a few years the market will be in trouble.

It will reach saturation, and there will be a correction. You cannot defend the price based on sales of all produced, since the production is based on demand. What is the annual units sold now vs 5yrs ago. There is no way the increases in the last 5 years are justified, and in the long run it hurts the sport as a whole. I paid $12,800 for my 2016 Ranger 900XP, I can't pay more than double, we added a heater, windshield, roof and back panel, and doors. For our use we need the heat, no use at all for the complexity of AC, we also don't need the XP power level. But by the time you put a cab and heat in the base 1000, you are at the price of a 1000XP NorthStar. At 2.5 x the cost of our 900 with accessories. Saturation is here, and they will need to offer $8k off to even start to bring back their core market.
