  • If you have a C5 or C6 Corvette, they are notorious for cracking the transmission / differential housing due to the weak factory design. This transmission brace from ECS helps correct that design flaw by strengthening the weak cast aluminum housing. You can purchase yours by using the link below.

As much as i hate to cut into my car i think that looks pretty sick. Might end up doing it. Curious to see what you come up with for a cover

  • @Brien_WhiteDiamondAmerica

Aluminum it with some seam sealer

My 1988 Corvette only goes into reverse and 1st gear we just spent 6 months putting in another transmission that we know works and it's doing the same exact thing as my last transmission. I called a transmission shop and they said it sounds like it's either the code or the cable. We are sure it's not the cable does anyone know how to do the code do you reset it or something? Can someone explain this issue to me it's obviously not the transmission that's broke but something else.

If you found the solution, please let know. I'm going crazy. I replaced all the parts and discs in my transmission and it's still not going into gear, the oil pump is not sucking up the transmission fluid at all.

@@user-wn3zw5oq1e Those transmissions are very complex. I ended up putting 3 transmissions in my car and they all failed. I eventually had to take it to a shop. If a transmission sits outside or even somewhere that gets a little damp that could ruin it very fast and it doesn't take much water at all. I bought used working transmissions and they would break after about a week of driving. Since I have took mine to the shop it's been working ever since. I know it's expensive to take it to a shop. If 1st gear and reverse still work those other gears can still be burned out. That's what happened to me.
