That's how it should be. Seems like people also overestimate how important builds are. I'd rather level another character that I enjoy playing, than go insane trying to get the best possible build on multiple characters just to get like 100 more asterite every 3 weeks. I am trying to min-max my encore, but aside from her I haven't put that much effort into others because it's not worth it right now at least
ngl i'm just jealous of people playing this game. this game neither runs on my laptop or my phone, so i'm literally just waiting until it's either dropped on PS5 or I finally get a gaming PC, until then just signing in occasionally to collect rewards and living vicariously through everyone else lol

It's true with Danjin because she is a 2nd DPS and doesn't build concerto that quickly so it ends up being a DPS loss if you don't have her geared. However, in that case, supports like Sanhua and Mortefi as your third is pretty much always worth it. You can run them with lvl 0 echoes and unleveled weps because their biggest contribution is their outro and they can build concerto rly quickly
I think this can be true with Mortefi, but I think even Sanhua can be difficult to use with her forte skill, and some casuals/mobile players might now want to bother, especially in the case of Hologram fights where standing still for a tiny amount of time can get you one shot.
@@hexjuice The sanhua rotation is actually very simple and casual friendly. Swap to sanhua, skill, echo skill, ult, hold heavy atk, let go and then swap. All for only 4-6s uptime. Using the energy set and an ER weapon, you can get enough ER to fill the outro instantly. The buffs is worth the 4s rotation (22.5% atk, 12% dmg dealt, 38% basic atk Deepen, all for 14 seconds). I play on both PC and mobile (touchscreen) and sanhua is one of the easiest characters to use in a rotation. (even easier than verina)

Honestly I am so SO glad the algo brought you to the forefront of my page. I started watching Teccy more often as WuWa drew closer, and that's when you popped along with TenTen, Gacha Smack, MrPokke and along with the return of Demone I've been getting so much valuable information. I typically end up wasting mats but due to the information I've compiled from everyone it's all been so helpful.

This is very good advice in this video. 0:20, I went for union lvl 40 at the very last day of the Tower of Adversity. And to be able to do so i could only rely on using 2 person teams. Since 3 was too high investment. I used DPS havoc rover, calcharro, and yinlin with supports Toaqi, xianyin/baizhu and verina. same investment and even had the same idea as yours with the double dreamless :D !

By the way, jianxin is actually goated in ToA since her ult is instantly charged and charges while off field, you can just use her to gather the npcs and it actually makes runs significantly faster

This is such an good video for newer players. I love seeing it. One thing i can add to this is for tackling tower going with lvl 70+ char and lvl 70 weapon is a lot easier when the main dps has less or no lvl differences than the mobs/boss the bigger the lvl difference the less dmg the character does even with perfect +20 lvled up gold echos and set. For example going vs a boss thats lvl 80 on the last floor with a lvl 60 char the dmg simply isn't there or will have to be very over compensated by playing very good because the dmg reduction the boss passively gets for being so over leveled is big.

Just was finally able to clear the 4th level after trying a 2 man team. So much easier.

Jianxian is an amazing second character for Rover. She does damage, shields, heals, and buffs liberation damage for Rover's nuke.

something that really helped in the tower for me was once I realized i could power through stages 1-3 on the permanent mode I just sent in without a verina, so I could use verina on both stage 4* on both sides to help support the dps
This was an interesting take for me. One of the problems I have in a lot of games is not doing, or rather thinking I'm not able to do endgame content. After playing Genshin, HSR, etc., I started becoming deathly afraid of wasting resources on a bunch of characters I may or may not use. This unfortunately results in me not doing any endgame content cause I think I'm not ready for it yet, when other folks would look at my account(s) and be like "WHY HAVENT YOU DONE X/Y/Z YET!?"
I just finished the initial ToA today, and this is something I will definitely think about while I'm building up the characters I'm using now when I try to tackle the rest of the tower. Thanks, Hex!

The times I win a battle with Verina and Yinlin only while Calcharo's chilling in the ether (always the first to be bodied too) is embarrassing.
Great suggestion. Doing Duo or Solo on the easier stage like 1 and 2 can help save the vigor.

Honestly something I was considering since it was taking so long to build up the outro skill on my sub dps to the point I wouldn’t be swapping to them often
I agree. many ppl just focus too much on the rotation with 3 characters. A result they eat boss hits and are unable to do any rotation properly.
As a susggestion start learning Verina/ Bizhi rotations first cos they are easiest and shortes.
example Baizhi - 4 BA, skill, burst, 3-4 BA Heavy - >outro. search for ER 3 costs on healer set + ER weapon.
PSA for people who still dont know: at the moment, DO NOT level your echoes straight to +25, the exp cost of going from 20 to 25 is almost equal to the cost from going 0 to 20. Maybe you can level them if they roll really really good, but otherwise just spend the exp on an echo for another character. Seeing those +25 echoes on 5:00 was painful ngl
Is the main stat difference between 20 and 25 more or less negligible? If so, then I'll apply that advice immediately.
@@user-yy4lw2lr3y Crit rate +20 ->25 is 18.4 -> 22.0 and 3 cost dmg bonus go 25.2% -> 30.0%. Stopping at +20 unless you get cracked rolls is good general advice.

Why is this echoes was painful for you? Crit Rate and Crit Damage is not only "worth it" stats among others. Some other offensive stats like an attack or skill damage is almost equal impact depends on situation of your overall stats. Maximum roll on crit damage is 21, on skill damage is 11, that ratio exist because effectivness of the crit rate lowers after 50% - that's the math. If you have 50% of crit rate, what is the target, your crit damages halves and value of that become equal to other stats.
@@DeathG0ld Why would crit value go down after 50%? It is the chance of hitting the crit, it should be stable until 100%, no?
2 unit teams work great and should be the go to for comfort early in this game considering sweats like can solo holograms. Running 2 units gives you the intro and outro skills and is easier to manage onfield time and allows you to build out the other units slowly and comfortably. I regret having built Baizhi this early because she literally does nothing for my teams except stand there looking pretty.
Jianxin is really good for grouping. She seems like she will age the best of the standard banner characters

Yeah she's good. Even her free crafted weapon is good. It gives ER, atk boost, dmg counter boost, and heal. Using her you can be a one chick army which do dps, shield, heal, and counter. To be honest she is an all rounder. However if you like to showcase big one time damage then she's not your option.

I messed myself up on tower. But I get where you're coming from. I have my teams set up to be interchangeable so next time. I planned on two manning a lot of the next round. Glad to know I'm not crazy. Lol.

Another way frame this could be "here's how to get the most out of a 3rd character for free." The easiest example: there's a weapon of every weapon type that allows the 3rd character to self-heal and trigger the rejuvenating glow set bonus. So you can just switch to them once every 30 seconds, do a basic attack/skill/intro/whatever, then switch back onto your damage dealers to get more damage. They can even be level 1 with a level 1 weapon. I totally understand the "I can't be bothered to add a 3rd character" argument tho, sometimes you just wanna be lazy and get fewer stars (I do this in genshin occasionally lol)

I've been using 2 character teams. Taoqi + Danjin and Calcharo + Yinlin for the tower. Still don't have a 3rd team. Works fine really (cleared the whole Experimental Zone). I add Verina when walking around the map so I don't need to dodge every mob hit, but she's level 50 with level 1 weapon cause I just don't want to waste resources on her.
idk honestly im using 4 star supports with 4 star maxed echoes and full er since it fastens their rotation and is cheaper, never had a problem like that

The early floors in Tower are easy enough that they can be duo'd or solo'd to preserve energy for your teams. I was trying to clear the later floors but was running out of energy on my supports. I just reset my floors and cleared the first 2 floors with solo Danjin.

If you want a character to switch off right away to just to get the buff, go full 3333 with all energy recharge and energy recharge weapon. Even one skill can fill that Concerto Energy so fast.
You could have just left danjin in for the dreamless quick swap. The supporting team doesn't need to be fully built to be useful.
Honestly, we enjoy your yapping, and wouldn’t mind more 😂 but I do agree with the character building. I’m just focusing on 1 character before moving on to the next one. Saves time and money than spreading it around to characters I don’t even use.

I currently have a team of Danjin, Mortefi, and Verina.
Usually, my Danjin can solo and Verina is there to heal just in case. I rarely switch to Mortefi. I guess I can just remove him.
i was doing tower adversity hazard zone with havoc rover + baizhi, the 2nd team was jiyan mortefi verina, and damn it worked. i got 18 stars (gonna wait until i levelled up even more to beat the last floor for both left and right tower)
Yeah i have been saying this since i started playing. 2 resonator teams are busted. I call them the Intro outro team builds. You get two resonators which build up concerto really well and slap them in a team they will be popping off intro outro damage like mad. For instance Baizhi and Yinlin make a powerful combo. Baizhi intro does a lot of stability damage, allows you to tank hits with your Yinlin which she can heal up while concerto building. Baizhi intro, stability damage, 4 basic into Skill heal, 3 basic into Heavy attack and you get max Concerto, then you intro with Yinlin doing massive damage and again more stability damage. Skill, 4 basic, Skill, Heavy attack and you will be max Concerto again, rinse repeat. With an occational ult from Yin or Bai depending on if you need it.
Calcharo would be amazing for this also if he could build concerto better. His outro is insane damage, like truly insane. I might just need to learn how to play him better but if he could get concerto faster he would be even more of a god. Lots of characters do well with the duo teams. I did most my tower doing it this way.
Last ill say another amazing one is Jian and Rover spectro, Yangyang is also a good choice with Rover Spectro also. Both make an insanely powerful Spectro ult Rover build which nukes everything. I was getting 40K+ ults on my rover without even having max echos let alone perfect roll ones. If i got a Liberation echo set i think i could get it way higher.

Just tried this while listening to the video. Results were much better. I was wasting to much time fitting Baizhi in my rotation. I'm now using HMC+Verina and Encore+ Sanhua
I was able to beat a hologram with 2 characters when one died and honestly it's was waaayyy comfortable. I love this video
Yeah it removes the pattern of adding the buff. Like one of your 3 is just there to buff the others and if you dont time it properly you screw it up. For instance i was doing Rover, Jian and yangyang. Yangyang outro gives liberation energy to two party. I was some times stupidly outro'ing into my rover instead of my Jian, because what i want to do is dump my Liberation into enemy on my Rover, swap to Yang, get outro after 2 heavy attacks and Skill along with her forte, swap to Jian outro to boost liberation then ult again after a full combo on Rover. The damage is nuts if you do it right. But if i just skipped one of those two, Jian or Yang i could output way more damage with less mistakes. It means you have 5 less things you have to think about comboing into the fight.
Basically helps your mental bandwidth.
OK, but hear me out:
2 characters to use like you described, AND a 3rd with a Geochelone or a (second) Dreamless.
You use your main DPS as long as you can, switch over to this 3rd char, fire up their echo skill, then switch to your sustain, do the rotation to charge concerto, and finally outro-intro into your main DPS to wreak havoc again.
Rinse and repeat until the level is cleared.
So basically let go of playing 'optimally' all your characters, so you can play 'optimally' your whole team. ;-)
Senhua is a good booster for Rover with little field time too
It's not about playing 2 characters over 3, for starters your Danjin was just built wrong, in a 3 characters team you have your healer (Verina, Biazhi or even Jianxin) these need to have very high energy recharge and even better if you have the 4 star weapons that give concerto energy upon skill use, then your SUB dps that usually is in the party for theyr outro skill buff, that si why they also need to be built whit high energy recharge so you charge asap theyr otro, hence buff your main dps, but what ive seen multiple ppl do is build theyr Sub dps whit elemental echo sets and that a t this point in the game unless you have insane luck whit echo rolls it's very hard, it's better to focus on 2 main dps and slap on the sub dps the Cloud set that you can even swap betwen characters.
As someone who would love any excuse to use Taoqi (still mad about the hotfix...) I hope there is another character with big ult damage in the future.

The game decided to give me sequence 5 on danjin so i invested a good bit into her but i can't seem to figure her out. My team 2 is HRover/danjin/jiaxin and i cant seem to get them ro perform as expected
Leveling characters in WuWa doesn't take 'way too long'. It's a common misconception really.... People tend to forget it's still a gacha game at heart that's only been out for like 3 weeks lol. Due to the ability for us players to farm for higher tier echo's with good mainstats (that we will be able to upgrade in the long run), we are unable to upgrade everything immediately due to the timegates set in place (that goes for literally every gacha out there), this is just KURO's version of that grind. It really doesn't mean it takes 'way too long'. I guess a lot of players are just impatient like that.
This is fair, it doesn’t invalidate my point about this conserving resources in the early game though. :)
@@hexjuice yes, 100% agree, building only your main dps characters in every team and having about 60% of that power on your subdps has been a very important tip for me to boost my progression early. Unfortunately healers/support are literally just buff-bots in this game right now. They don't require anything other than a heal/energy set for that and you're good to go.
Yeah, when we get to max world level it's definitely gonna be a whole lot easier too

It's very simple, don't waste echo xp to get them to 25. Level 20 is more than enough.
I don’t have any gold echos lol I’m now about to hit 15 from farming echos solo and i only have 6 characters that I’m working on and 2 others i like to use for fun.
Haven’t gotten passes level 20 for character level not to be like wawa I did it at a low level it just feels more like a souls like I found myself comparing the boss run backs I get 1 shotted but the 2 bosses I have beaten have been soooo rewarding
My strategy is quite simple and frankly, quite obvious - build characters that share echoes and/or weapons. Obviously it depends on what you have and a bit of luck but it's quite doable even for F2P players. I myself haven't spend much - just battle pass and swiped once 50 bucks (haven't even spent half of it yet).
So in my case I went all out on Calcharo and Yinlin. And I mean all out - both have separate 43311 electro echo sets at 25 lvl each echo, both gold weapons maxed, basically both Calcharo and Yinlin are absolutely cracked. Problem is I was dumb enough to not have anything else as a backup dps and I had to face Mephis... with full electro team...
Thing is that while I was pulling for mommy Yinlin and other stuff I somehow ended with... S6 Papa Smack Yuanwu. Who happens to also be electro. And my Calcharo was out of vigor and I just built Yinlin. So basically I took Calcharo echoes, gave them to Yuanwu, gave him Jianxin weapon since I previously built her as support dps before Yinlin was released and both mommy and daddy melted the face of the electro "resistant" Mephis. So now I'm rocking an insane 3-electro team and just swapping Calcharo and Yuanwu and they both are absolutely insane with Yinlin.
I have also built female Rover havoc (duh...). And she has a gold weapon. That weapon is shared between her, Danjin and Sanhua. And the havoc echo set goes to Danjin when needed.
And obviously Verina and Baizhi both share the same echo set and weapon.
And if you don't wanna have any problems whatsoever with elemental resistance levels, just build a fusion. If you're lucky and have Encore, it's a no brainer. And she can share weapon with Yinlin when necessary. And if you don't, both Chixia and Mortefi can share a gun and echo set and they are actually good enough.
I'm not talking about aero dmg because I don't have and don't want Jiyan and if you don't have him, aero characters are just ass atm.
But that's the tl;dr pretty much - find at least 2 or if you can even 3 characters that can share an echo set and/or weapon even if you don't plan or can't use them in the same main team. The best option atm is obviously electro since all electro characters are just stupid OP. And make sure to build your rover at least as a secondary dps character and your problems with holograms and the tower are over.
Every chara ingame can be useful if you know their playstyle and build them well, they say Taoqi is bad, but she deals pretty decent dmg and is easy to build albiet situational and she pretty much carried me on Holograms lmfao and on tower it was just danjin and sanhua together (didnt even have to use my calcharo) to complete the first half at lvl50 char
play what you chars you like, it aint gonna matter if you cant kill the lvl80s and 90s since theyre pretty much for hard sweaters and whales. take it slowly or youll be burned out

imma be honest the level up and talents are fine as they are however the echoes are a catastrophe it takes 2 days of tacet fields just to max one single echoe.

Nah fam 3 person with all 3 being Mains is my style, and Yes my healer's are Mains....But i'm still figuring out team combo for 4 teams.
1. Havoc Rover, Danjin, Baizhi.
2. Jiyan, Mortefi, Jinxian.
3. Calcharo, Yinlin, Verina.
4. Encore, Sanhua (waiting for Changli).
The fact that you don't know how to use Danjin doesn't mean that she is not good. YOU are the silly one, not her. Danjin can heal herself with her charged attack and she is a great support to havock Rover

Honestly it feels like with WUWA 3 character teams simply aren't worth the effort.

The real problem is...LACK of echo level up mats!
Noticed this in tower, my calcharo died and with just rover and verina I did more dmg than with all 3… and my calcharo was way more stacked than rover who still has that green attk% weapon 😅
Currently just building Calcharo, Jiyan, Yinlin, Mortefi and Verina. I think this is enough to clear the 2 hazard zone towers. I wont even bother with the lvl 100
I'm stuck in the experimental zone XD, ran out of vigor.

Se have to consider that, the majority who say ,don't waste resources like I did are whales or content creators SO it's obvious that in their speedrunnig madness they will waste resources at some point.
Casuals or f2p veterans rarely will do because they take pauses between one upgrade and another
guys if youre lazy just main danjin solely focus on just 1 person and finish the game only using danjin.
