Really insightful. I’ve been confused if the lower bulb was a high beam and required another bulb or not, but this sorts that out. I do like the idea of being able to swap bulbs vs the entire headlight if a bulb goes out. It would be nice to get that lower light here to match. Someone else on CZcams said you could disconnect a wire to just turn that halogen off. I wasn’t sure exactly what he was talking about until now.
I been looking into these. I heard pretty good things about them. Giving recon brand a run for their money for sure
Yea the recons for this year model don't have built LED drivers.
Thanks for following up with with other video man! Question on your Luxxe models the same config as far as the top light being Hi/Low and bottom being a dimmer led to assist or is the lower bulb the same as the upper doing hi/low? It’s hard to tell if the top and bottom lights are putting out the same power or if the bottom is just a dimmer led that’s just on all the time? Thanks again!
The Luxx are led hi low for top projector and a dim led for bottom projector.
The pro are hi low halogen for top projector and dim halogen for lower projector.
Hey man quick question I’m looking at picking a set of these up, I have a 7.3, I bought the harness adapter on Amazon for 05-07 head lights & I already have an 05-07 header panel but I was also wondering is it direct plug & play with the updated harness or do I need something else? I was looking on their website & it looked like it has a total of 3 plugs? Also the Pro model comes with halogens & your buddy bought an LED bulb off Amazon to install on the top light? Sorry for all the questions just want to know what I’m getting into before I bite the bullet on these things, want to make sure they’re even going to work on my truck wiring wise
I bought the H7s you recommended on Amazon & they don’t come with the pigtail needed for the 05-07, it literally just came with positive/negative cables…can you help a guy out here how did your buddy wire the H7 in?

@@ExurtsYT The wires it came with connect to the bulb and the male end goes into the headlight connector female socket.
@@ExurtsYTI installed these headlights on my 2000 f250 & you need to convert/splice the 3 connectors on your 7.3 to the 05 connectors. So you need a H13 pigtail for the main beam connection, the 05-07 pigtail connector for the turn signal bulb, and 05-07 side marker pigtail connector.
Can you swap out the 194 bulb?
Luxx series worth it that much over pro series ? Or its fine with some led bulbs
Luxx is FAR better, but the Pro will suffice with LED bulbs. Luxx is as good or better than alot of OEM LED headlights.
@@TheJimmysGarage also is the white brightness on the daytime running lights the same on both or does that change?
@@Ebk1988 if you use the supplied DRL harness the white is brighter.

@@Ebk1988 THeyre the same lights. Just one has a OEM quality LED beam and the other is halogen.
I would like to see a video on someone modifying this light somehow to replace the halogen with an LED.
