I love that just before they did the cover, the host had that smirk that said "There is no way". Then after the performance, it was a "Holy shit! They did it!" Oh Wang Chung, what can't you do?

I saw Huang Chung at Gateshead open air in 81, they were fantastic, much better than the pop stuff they are known for.
There is so much more to Wang Chung than "an 80s band".

Everyone keeps telling me there's a new album coming out. All I want is new Wang Chung. However I can get it. So covers will do for now.
@dfarmbrough I like to think they told people who would be on the show, so fans could come. And while Dance Hall Days was their breakthrough hit, Everybody Have Fun became a cultural phenom. I have friends who send me birthday cards with the phrase, and WC's site has a video with tons of shows using it. You should check it out. Their new music is just as good and inventive.

Lol! Jack was my songwriting lecturer in my first and second year at uni (CCCU). Makes me laugh that he says that Jack Hughes is his stage name and that he's not a center of attention kind of guy because he used the name Jack Hughes as his uni name and found any excuse to play us his music haha. While he seems to have been rather successful as a musician, I found him to be a rather biased lecturer. Instead of marking our work based on the grading criteria, he graded it based on his personal preferences. So basically, if he just didn't like your song or the genre that your song was written for, you got a bad grade. Strangely enough, he seemed to favour the singer/songwriter types, so if your genre is metal, electro pop, country etc. you were screwed lol. He's basically a pretty cool guy though.

I don't think so in the short term, they have come out with new tunes such as ABDUCTED BY THE EIGHTIES, STARGAZING, AKASHA to name a few, word say they are touring the USA in a couple of month ahead, you can check WCH tickets sale on e-bay for this forthcoming shows, hope this helps...
