Each time this song was played my nephew, age three, would shriek, "Everybody have fun tonight!" at the top of his lungs; the novelty wore-off quickly.
I used to have a miniature pinscher and we used to pick him up and dance around with him to this song. He loved it and he'd smile. I miss that cute little black, furry, fat bastard. R.I.P. Rebel. You're Wang Chung-ing in Dog Heaven now...

Or seizures!
haha that is SO funny have not laughed so much in a long time... yes hahahhaaha but a fun song thanks for the good comment you are awesome .. George from Sydney Australia
VT edits aren't that hard, you just have to have the "feel" for it, like anything else with an analog nature. Take it from a veteran of that era.
Just a pulsating kick ass piece of music by a band who is top shelf good. Their music is quite addictive.
🎉We all really had fun with this Wang Chung song in the 80s and we still do🎉

The 80's were more fun than most people realize🐴
😏👍🐳
The 80s were created just for fun!! Forgive me this pun!! I simply couldn't resist!
even homeless people were happier in the 80'S [A MIGHT BIT EXAGGERATED !!] but you get the point ENJOY THE NIGHT !!
Perhaps superman could give the earth a good 30 year spin
So true XD
Anybody remember the episode of Cheers when Fraser makes a toast at his bachelor party? "Everybody have fun tonight... everybody Wang Chung tonight."
I didn't think anyone would remember and mention that, the way Kelsey Grammer delivered the line was hilarious!
So droll. Hilarious😃
If there is such a thing as a musical masterpiece, then this is definitely one.
I can't believe it has only 19 million views despite coming out 13 years ago... I thought something this good would have billions by now! I'm surprised!
100%
Say what you will, the tune slaps. Also, the editing in this video is incredible
Everytime I hear this song it lifts me up and makes me feel like dancing
Hi, I'm 71 years young, raised two children, and still "Wang Chung"😊
Same
That means you've Wanged the Chung. You've ascended.

And Frasier even quotes the song: czcams.com/video/o4GtOdJtgL8/video.html

I want MY MTV! (when they actually played music)
Or, if you’re Canadian, Much Music! I remember when this came out in London, Ontario….
What are we waiting for? Let's go!
This has to be the most 80s, 80s song of all time, who else agrees.
A high contender :-)
Better than most music today.
I disagree. Music now is better.
@@integribeez4114 thanks for the laugh!
Do You Really Want to Hurt Me? By culture club is the most 80s song. How many agree?
Sadly this song stalled on the UK pop charts back in 1986, and isn't that well known in the UK. Its such a wonderful and uplifting party song!
I love how the video still looks fresh, not dated as 80's - and still a great fun song!

The eighties were the best decade of my life.
you know everybody is going to say the time period they grew up with was fun... its literally you being young and just having new experiences ..nothing new about that with later generations you still are able to experience previous generation songs ..you tend to have a bigger library to experience really. i was born end of 80's myself but grew up in the 90's
I had fun tonight. I also Wang Chunged tonight.
Yes, that never gets old ........
Wouldn't that be "I also wanged chung..."?
I also thought the same. I guess it depends on how the wanging of the chung occurred and if the wang was more dominant than the chung itself. In conclusion I believe you're correct due to they way he/she describes the activity.
wang means phallus in slang
wang's cars is also a car saloon in gta sa
I'm 60 reminds of going to the bar back in the day ahh memories 😊
Timeless!.. On the RADIO in NZ in 2023.. cool song! 🎵🇳🇿
New Zealand! One of my favorite countries.
It was the 80's, you had to be there!
Great comment.
Graduated from college in '82 - was there and it was great!
7 years old in 1980, 16 in 1989.

imagine having the technology of today in the 80s people would look at you in amazement you would be like a futuristic space man
I am Mexican, I am 24, but the 80's and the new wave drive me crazy, in my opinion the same sound may never be heard again, the music of now does not make me feel anything like Wang Chung - Every Have Fun Tonight, in a world where everything sounds the same.
I don’t know what you mean, all these 80s songs sound nearly the exact same.

Wang Chung is Chinese for perfect pitch. Another definition of perfect pitch is when you throw a ukulele into a dumpster and it lands on an accordian.
Thats hilarious. 🤣🤣😂😂

This song brings me back to my childhood years. The fun memories of the 80s.

But you baby boomers did some unbelievably awesome music in the 70s too...
Dancing and drinking the night away in an Italian nightclub. The 80s were truly Wang Chung!

That and the 90s are the height of American culture. I've slowly become convinced of this!
@@danielkyavata6233 The 1950's and 1960's were pretty wonderful too.
@@danielkyavata6233 my opinion is the opposite. I think the 80s were great for pop music especially because musicians from non-English countries tried to access Anglophone markets. New Wave, Synthpop, Techno and Eurobeat were pretty much continental European trends that became popular worldwide

This song was blaring as I walked into my first 7th grade dance in 1986. I was so excited and every time I hear this song in right back to that night. When life was about to get so exciting.
Absolute class of a song. Bring it back!
I was in my 20s in the 80s. It isn’t till later on you realize what a wonderful time it was. The music was great. This song makes you want to get up and dance

80s best era in music for sure ❤️🇦🇺
Cant stop listening to this…
It’s definitely tagged on the songlist for my band!
I was 20 at University when this dropped... My God was it a hit and heard all of the time. When the DJ spun this up the floor went CRAZY.
this was all recorded on a Synclavier. I went to a music expo back in the late 80's, and they were demoing the Synclavier there. It was the first time I saw a digital tapeless studio. They were able to mute individual tracks and you could hear Jack Hues (singer) vocal and the music spilling out of his headphones. I was blown away. It's a great song, and the production is first class.
Now you can do it on a fast enough PC with the right board
Released August 1,1986 in the UK. October 3,1986. US.
Wow. Didn’t know. My synth sampling was late 80s as an audio engineering student. Oh, Emerson lake and Palmer. Digital on the horizon.
Saw them at a lost 80's live concert and they really got the crowd going
When he said Everybody have fun tonight, I hope everyone had fun that night
Great memories with this song.
I miss the happy and good times when this song was on power play.
Life was so uncomplicated and the music was great in the 80´s :-)
I can't believe a YTP introduced me to Wang Chung.
Was it "Its all at your fingertits" by cs188?
Oh hell yes.
Chris Mic Gotta love it! I came from that video aswell xD
CS's poops are filled with all sorts of genres of music, especially in the older poops.
"Morshu bombs Hyrule" led me to this song lol
22JUN2024 - When we watched this the DAY it came out, no music video was edited like this. Monumental. Forty years later it still remains a legend.
I'm pretty sure this video was used in the reasoning for studios to put the disclaimer about how certain scenes can cause seizures. Still a great song even in 2024!
