    Currently going through detox from marijuana. The withdrawls are more serious than i ever knew. Dopamine will take time to recover... in the mean time, it sucks. Pain, depression, aching all over. It's not a quick fix. Taking Ashwaganda, NAC, Vit's: Methylated B-12, D and K, L-Theanine. I smoked it for years, so i expect that it'll take quite a while to come back.

      Yeah, just don't ever get messed up with Cocaine or meth. That's a world of pain getting off. The worst, however, is getting off opiates. Good luck. Hope you're still doing well

      your endocannabinoids are low. I would try high doses of (high qaulity) Fish Oil. Like 6 grams a day spaced out. It will replenish your endogenous endocannabinoids helping greatly. Also he doesn't mention this but dha fish oil is important for upregulating and repairing the dopamine receptors in the brain. urine monophosphate is the best thing I've ever used for dopamine boosting. Also the herb cistanche will increase dopamine receptors in brain and ashwaganda. and ALCAR

      @@markbalogh9655 No, from the local shops. It's legal here. But i always ask for the clean-green. It's really an imbalance for me to be high all the time. I needed to be sober and straight for a little while. Doesn't mean it's not still a valuable medicine or even escape once in a while.

    Interesting info.. thanks for sharing. Still I have no idea where I lie on the dopamine spectrum.. but do know that coffee causes havoc similar to cocaine but on a much lesser pendulum swing.. mood pick up just after but later in the day more prone to anxiety

    Meats need need to be grass fed no gmo food or antibiotics
    Cheese need to be natural fermented no additives
    chocolate needs to be cacao based no additives eggs need to be not farm grown and processed (farm pasture

    My husband is parkinsons sufferer with dbs in his brain and niw gets psychosis too I'm struggling with this.
    How do you deal with excess spending isolation ,obsession etc and too much else where doctors just don't gibe mental help or therapy just pills. Too little about nutrition etc these days.

    If you have had longterm stress from traumatic cicumstances since childhood, does that lead to low dopamine in the body? I think so. I once had to take high dosed cortisone for weeks and it was the only time in my life of 60 years now when l felt like really being me. After this wonderful period of time l got the woerst depression of my life and was even suicidal. Can you explain this? Thanks from Germany ❤

      You might find useful to read Anna Lembke's study on dopamine and the body's natural homeostasis . High levels of dopamine are counter-acted with low levels, and vice versa (which is one reason why some people develop addictions)

    Hey Doc, Just wanted to ask why you didn't include the greatest Dopamine booster of all time. Opioids. All jokes aside, Bupenorphine is the greatest drug ever made. Your Dopamine will be fine and recovering addicts can live normal lives. L- Tyrosine also def works. It works TOO well sometimes. Anyway, I'm off to Japan to spit game on some thotties! Adios!

      I went to UCLA for 26 Physical Therapy Visits. Saw a Doctor there for 2 years, did not agree to take pain meds. The Doctor told me to learn to live with the Pain. Went to a chiropractor for the first time in my life our of desperation. He fixed me in one session, no more pain. He didn't even touch me. Examined my Walk and talked about lifestyle and sleep. Told me to sleep in the floor or get a firm bed. 😂
