How come I don't see Maggie McNeil and Summer McIntosh competing against each other?
They swim different events. MacNeil is a sprinter, McIntosh is a mid distance swimmer.
Keeping in mind that competing in all events is a path to burnout, athletes tend to focus on events where they excel. Maggie, shorter distances and butterfly. Summer, longer distances, IM and freestyle. Would love to see 200 butterfly race between these two though.

@@123benny4 Maggie would destroy her in 100 fly or free. Summer destroys her in mid distance and up. Two completely different athletes.
It's like comparing apples to apples --- Summer McIntosh, and some are not.
