I must admit, I didnât have high hopes for this recipe. Not because of the ingredients, but because of how quick it was done. Boy was I wrong!! I am so in love with this recipe, I will be making it often! Also, thank you so much for demonstrating how itâs done! That really helped!
I love how you take your time with these recipes and explain every detail. You have such a warm personality and make cooking a joy - just love all your videos - don't stop making them - my husband and daughter love you even more! lol..lol...
Rosheen Amend Thank you so much! đ„°
@@TheSaltedPepper we love you
I love how you are honest and not fake. You also explain why you do things so people can learn and understand! I appreciate that. Thank You!
Thank you so much!
I watch this video EVERY TIME I want to make a chuck roast in my Ninja Foodi, and EVERY TIME it turns out perfect! I love your channel. Thank you!
I'm the same about many recipes â€
Made this today and it was fantastic. Loved the idea of minimal chopping. Iâll be making this again for sure.
I made this recipe for my Holiday dinner. I only made one slight change, I put my chopped potatoes in the pot with everything else. Previously, no matter what I did, I could never get my roast tender. This was a hit! Thanks Salted Pepper!
Wonderful!
The best ever. Iâve prepared this meal two times now and on both passes, I used 2 cups! Big win!111
Fantastic!
Made this tonight! Omg it turned out perfectly. So delicious, I used onion soup mix instead of the wine and broth. So good Thank you!!
I gifted myself a 6.5qt foodi for Christmas and I have as I'm typing this a Pot Roast just coming off of pressure build. Already love all the smells this thing emits. Gonna be chowin down as soon as it's done.
I hope you love it!
Update: I used a shoulder roast instead of a chuck. had to pull the vegetables out and give the shoulder another 15min pressure. that did the trick.. fell right apart. Love this thing! 1 hr from pot getting pressure to gravy done. Delish.
I used your recipe for the pot roast and we love it. Had plenty left over and tried your suggestion of making beef stew. I thickened the gravy a little more and it was fantastic. My husband said it's the best beef stew he's ever eaten and I have been making it in a pressure cooker for decades. Just not the same seasonings and mushrooms. The meat was more tender prepared your way. Thank you so much. With winter almost here it's a great cold weather comfort food.
Sounds great!
Really like the way you present your recipes in your videos. Your hints on what to substitute for different things in the recipes is very helpful. I am just getting started cooking with my Ninji Foodi and you have been a great help. Keep the videos coming.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate the kind words!
You have helped me face my fear of the pressure cook setting. We have an amazing little community butcher shop here. My husband brought home the meat you suggested. I was thrilled to find this video. We love our ninja and we love your recipes. Thank you again!
I hope you love it!
I just made it! Well, I WAS gonna post a picture....but my hub and grandson got to it before I got to camera! Guess they loved it! All the carrots-GONE! Almost the entire 2.75lb roast gone! So, it was a hit! What I wanted to mention was I made it with just 2 cups of liquid and it made plenty for gravy! This was a perfect recipe to break in my Foodi! 20 đđ»đđ»đ„°
I'm so glad to hear that!
Another good looking meal. Im salivating over here. Yum yum. Thanks Louise for another great tutorial. Donnađđđ
Thank you!
I made the pot roast last night following the recipe. It was the best pot roast I've had in years. The meat was tender and juicy and the carrots were perfect consistency like velvet in your mouth! 5 stars Louise.
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed the pot roast!
What a fantastic recipe - I can't wait to try it !! Thank you Louise - you are AWESOME !!!!
Thank you so much! I hope you love it!
My favorite meal, next to meatloaf! This I may need to try soon. usually we want this when it's chilly, but we are in Texas!! Could starve before that happens! I love that you work all your Pampered Chef gadgets into your videos. I love them, and have most...but there is always something new!! Thank you!
Thank you! I hope you love the pot roast!
Louise!! Love â€ïž your braid! Love! Love â€ïž your wedding rings!! Last but not least....your pot roast with veggies looks AWESOME!! Thanks for your fantastic presentation!!!
Thank you so much!
I would like to thank you for this recipe!! I just purchased the Foodi and followed this recipe with a few alterations. SUCCESS! My children loved it! This was a good dinner! Thanks to you, my first Ninja Foodi dinner was a hit!
You are so welcome!
I really appreciate your clear explanations. You tell me the why and well as the what to do.
Just found this recipe the other day and made it tonight. I added Parsnips and some swede/rutabaga that I had, as well as the carrots and potatoes. Turned out really good. My boyfriend had 2 helpings đ
I received a ninja foodi as a gift and wanted to try a good recipe. Watched your video twice and made it today exactly as you had shown. It was absolutely amazing!! Most tender roast Iâve ever made. The flavors were all amazing...kudos to you! Thanks for the recipe and instructions!
Great to hear!
I made this pot roast last night & it was delicious! Love your videos.
I will definitely have to try this recipe. Pot roast and veggies are a favorite autumn/winter meal in our house.
Hope you enjoy it!
Made this tonight and it was a absolutely amazing. The potatoes were delicious and the roast was the best I have ever had. Thank you so much for this recipe.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Your presentation and delivery is excellent. Just recently bought a ninja foodi and you are my goto channel. You explain everything in detail and come across as very sincere. Thank you keep em coming.
Awesome, thank you! I hope you love your new Foodi!
omggggg another recipe that I did step by step without even seeing the final result and oh my Lord this is BANGING!! My husband said it came out like restaurant quality and that gravy was superrr delicious Thank You so much two meals that I prepare today and my family have happy bellies you really are a amazing cooker and easy explained and easy to follow you!! Thank You and God Bless
That's wonderful!
I just love your videos. I learn recipes and the whys and hows. I also appreciate that you show us when you may make a small mistake (that surely we will too) and how you correct it. How many times have we cooked and done something or missed something and stood back hands on hips and thought, "Well NOW what do I do?". You cover all the bases.
Thank you so much!
I made my roast but seasoned the meat first with heavy salt pepper onion powder then seared it on high and added garlic and other herbs to the pot, we are on keto so no flour for us! I sifted in a tiny bit of coconut flour for the gravy and add 1/8 tsp of ground pysillim husk to make it thick. We cannot do potatoes or carrots as it is too high in carbs and sugar that adds to weight gain for us but used onions and celery. Came out wonderful I did 35 min and it was perfect! Thank you for your videos they are an insperation using Ninja Foodie which I love cooking in for keto desserts as well and no weight gain! â€
Love it Louise! Pot roast is definitely a favorite for me. Great job!
Thank you CJ!
I always come to your recipes for the foodi. Everything comes out amazing.
Thank you!
Making this today, thanks for the recipe.
We Louise you're not the only that got lumpy greave I did the same as you i did not let the flour sink, but it still turns out great thank you Louise for this Pot Roat Recipe it a great video.
I made this almost the same as I wanted to see for myself what happens to the mushrooms. They kept their shape just like you said they would and tasted yummy. Since finding your channel, I have been using my Ninja Foodi a lot more often.
I am definitely going to try this recipe!
I remember my first pot roast I had at an American base in Germany about 40 years ago. I am going to do this on Sunday to surprise my wife, it seems simple but its not something you see in the UK. I think this would be good done with lamb too. Thank you so much for sharing.
I hope you love it!
I can't wait to make this, hopefully tonight! You make me glad that I purchased a foodi, Thanks!!!
Hope you enjoy it!
Iâm going to make this again tonight for dinner. My husband always requested. This is going to be my 6th time for making this recipe. Thank you for your recipe. Itâs so yummy đđđ
I'm so glad you like it!
Just made this came out perfect thank you for the step by step instructions makes it so easy
Great to hear!
Amazing that you fitted all that in. In the smart lids they donât allow you to fill beyond a line on the inner pot. That old one looks much better for loading up!
Great recipe. You explain your recipes so nicely. I did cut down on amount and always use a slurry for my gravy and like mom I add a little kitchen bouquet for a richer color and flavor. I'm keeping it on slow cook till dinner time.
Sounds great!
I love this recipe. Was easy to make yet taste like I worked hard to make it. Even though I make this, I still revisit and watch the video again and again.
This meal was delicious đ thank you so much for sharing your recipe.
I'm so glad!
Made this last night and it was delicious and came out perfect! I think it was even better than when I cook it in my slow cooker. Love your recipes.
Glad you liked it!!
Delicious! Followed your recipe and made this last night, I omitted the onions (allergic) and didn't have fresh herbs or garlic cloves and I also used gluten free all purpose flour - oh my goodness, it was absolutely amazing! And the gravy was incredible. Thank you Louise!
Wonderful!
My first time using my New Ninja 8 qt I got for Christmas. Did this recipe. OMG YUM YUM.
So glad you liked it!
Great Again! The best greatest Chief, no fooling! This receipt is the best of The Best, She is absolutely the Greatest on Ninja Foodi! Love to learn your ways of cooking in the Ninja Foodi. Hats off to you!
Wow, thanks
I made this tonight followed your cooking method with the meat chunks , added 2 cups beef stock , instead of wine I add a dash of Worcestershire sauce and a 1/2 tablespoon of tomato paste. Then cooked with veggies as instructed. I made gravy like you showed and it turned out simply amazing! Looking forwards to your next scrumptious creation in Foodie!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
This was absolutely wonderful! I loved the gravy, the flavor was so rich and complete...Thank you for the step by step instruction...My hubby bought me this big ole Ninja thing, I had no idea what the heck to do with it...I don't even cook...If that tells you anything...I guess he had this dream of eating real home cooked food...lol. Thanks again.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
I made this tonight. . . . .it was FANTASTIC!!! Everyone loved it so much!! Thank you for sharing your recipes with detail using the Ninja Foodi. . . .I'm not as afraid of it as I was when I first got it!!
That is so great to hear! Thank you!
Looks delicious
Just got my Ninja a few weeks ago and absolutely love it and now I will be making this pot roast in the very near future it looks fantastic! You definitely have a new subscriber! Thank you.
Thank you so much and congrats on the Foodi!
I can't wait to try this recipe. I couldn't stop admiring your egg spiral in the back ground. I love it. I have to add. I am the same way with impatient gravy making. I usually end up whisking the hell out it and calling any lumps intentionally rustic.
That's great! I love "intentionally rustic" LOL
I have made many of your recipes. Last night was the first time I made this one. As usual, fantastic! At the end, I scooped the cooked potatoes out and mashed them.
Sounds great! So glad you enjoyed it!
I've made your beef stew recipe several times and really enjoy it. Was excited to try the pot roast and was not disappointed!! Thank you for all you share!! I like this method of the gravy making better too (I also am not always the best gravy-maker đ)
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
This is my kind of pot roast recipe! Minimal chopping and prep! Looks delicious and I'm making up a grocery list to give it a try. Love all your recipes, so I know I'll love this one too.
Thank you! Agreed, simple prep is wonderful!
I just got my Ninja Foodi and found your page - I love the style of your videos and the detail you go into!! Looking forward to watching more and trying out some of your recipes! Great work :)
How wonderful! Congratulations on the Ninja Foodi, you are going to love it!
Love your videos. Really learned something on sifting flour into the gravy mixture and letting it absorb. Never seen it done this way, awesome. If I were serving this for dinner, and I know you wanted it cooled for tasting at the end, I would have put my oven on warm mode, covered the platter with foil, and put it in oven to keep warm while making the gravy.
I am new to Ninja Foodi, just got for Christmas 2019. I have subscribed to your channel. So far you are my fave amongst many others I have watched for Foodi demonstrations. Keep up the great demonstrations. I will be watching for sure!!!
Thank you so much! Yes, putting the platter in the oven is a great idea!
I have to remember your Tuesday live!! Hugs
I hope to see you soon!
Amazing video!!
Thank you so much!!
Keep up the good work with NF videos please!!
Thanks!
I used this recipe for my first-ever try at pressure cooking. Turned out great! Not as scary as I thought it would be!
Great to hear!
I made this tonight after watching your video! My husband wanted pot roast for his birthday dinner, so of course I had to grant his wish! I used a 3lb chuck roast in my 8qt foodi. I followed your instructions exactly, except I used 1c wine and about 1.5c broth. And I didn't have the fresh spices, so I only used dried. It yielded PLENTY of liquid. I even made the gravy how you said, and my husband said that the gravy is what made it! đ Thanks so much. I'm a new subscriber and am loving your recipes!!!
I'm so glad you guys liked it!
Made this today. It was by far the best pot roast I have had.
I'm so glad to hear that!
This turned out sooooooo delish!! And so easy!! My husband was disappointed that it wasn't a "roast" but too bad! Everything was cooked perfectly! I will, like you mentioned, cut the liquid down to 1&1 because I had waaaaay too much gravy! Thanks for sharing!! Can't wait to make this again!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
I don't know how often you see the comments but I hope you see this one cause you kinda spent Thanksgiving with me today! I decided to do this instead of turkey and all, and it frees up the oven for the other stuff. I have enjoyed your videos so much. I see you do also have a turkey recipe, but I sure enjoyed this instead. Thank you.
I made this last night and it was delicious. Next time though I am going to throw several pinches of the spice mixture right into the pot instead of mixing it all into the flour. I had to doctor it up at the end. Still good!
I made this today for our family's Sunday lunch, absolutely the best roast we've ever ate!! So tender and the flavors were amazing!! Thank you so much!!
Glad you liked it!!
Good
Just bought a Ninja Foodi for my mum and I! Just waiting for it to arrive! We love cooking and i just found your channel; it has caught my eye seeinh so much variety in your recipes. We are Pakistani and love making desi cuisine, can't wait to try the ninja and see its magic! Can't wait to make this, your chicken tikka masala and many more!. The perfect Channel for Ninja Recipes!
Welcome!! Thank you so much! I hope you love the Foodi and I'd love to hear what you are cooking up in it! I love all kinds of food!
Thank you for this great instructional vid, I have to learn how to use a Ninja Foodie and I haven't even taken it out of the box yet LOL but with this introduction, I will.
If I get lumpy gravy I use the immersion blender and it works a charm. Binging your wonderful vids!
Just cooked this for my wife and I. It didnât disappoint. Very tasty!
Great to hear!
I loved my pot roast made in my Ninja Foodie... Yummmm!!!
Iâve been cooking for many years, and consider myself a good cook. However, Iâve never used a pressure cooker before and Iâm a little intimidated. Your videos give me the confidence to use my Ninja for everyday cooking. Thank you. đđ»
Sunday dinner today, just a quick refresher. It's been awhile.
I have been making pot roast for years and mine were always kinda hit or miss, decent flavor, but NOW, after making this with you both hubs and I are so amazed at the flavor it has! Thanks so much!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I feel the same way about my previous "attempts" at pot roast, they were always hit or miss. This recipe just fell together when I was cooking live one night and I'm so glad it was caught on tape, so I could recreate it!
@Denise D How on earth do you manage two husbands?
Thank you for your help.. I got my cooker yesterday, and this was my first recipe. Made it today..Next time I'm going to add cabbage cut in quarters...may I suggest "Wondra" its near the flour in a shaker. Use this to make gravies and sauces. I also add nutmeg to my gravies/sauces..In gravy I add "gravy master" as well.........Im enjoying your shows on here. Thanks for the help..PS; I want to add that I love the sauce for Yankee pot roast by Stonewall kitchens. Its delicious
Thank you!
i watched your video just to see how to pressure cook my pot roast your recipe looks great thanks for all your videos i get most of my info from you lol on the ninja foodi thanks again
You are so welcome! Thank you!
That was amazing! I made that tonight and it was so good!
Glad you liked it!!
Wow 30 minutes? Iâll be trying this in a few hours. Thank you very informative
Thank you for the gravy. Letâs face it. A lot of us will get lumps in our gravy. So good to see we donât have to throw it out!!
have just done potatoes, carrots, onions and a joint of roast pork all in my Ninja and it was superb. I didn't use any oil and the crackling on the pork was the best I've ever done. Will be making more of that, most definitely.
Sounds great!
I just seared my first roast, She is such a great cook, thank you
I hope you loved it!
Thank you for this recipe, we enjoyed it very much! Gotta get me more chuck roast đ
Glad you enjoyed it
That looks like perfection!! Iâve never added wine đ· to pot roast and canât wait to try this recipe. Itâll have to wait until tomorrow because Iâm trying sun dried tomatoes đ in the dehydrator right now! Thank you for going above and beyond with these recipes. All the tips are so helpful as well! đ
I can't wait to hear how you like it! Please keep me posted!
The Salted Pepper I made this yesterday! I loved it! I couldnât stop eating the meat. I used three large carrots đ„ cut in half. The only thing I didnât put in was mushrooms đ. đ€ Not of fan. At all. My husband didnât care that the potatoes đ„ were as soft as they were, so next time the veggies go in a bit later. Loved the garlic too!! Definitely will make again!!đ
If I could figure out how to put a picture here I would! â„ïž
Barb Graf Iâm glad you enjoyed it! Did you use Yukon gold potatoes? Mine were soft, but not a bad texture soft, so Iâm curious if yours were mushy? Maybe mine were bigger? Iâm a real funny person about texture and flavor, so Iâm always curious to hear feedback. Iâll also be curious to hear how things go when you add the veggies later on! đ„°
The Salted Pepper Yes I did use Yukon Gold potatoes. They were medium sized and just real soft. Not mushy. The others I had were way too large. The carrots were pretty soft too. Bought those individually so I can get larger in diameter. So for me I didnât use all the flour for the gravy. Using Sear/SautĂ© on high I sifted, waited until bubbling and stirred vigorously after each tablespoon. I only used about 3/4 of the remaining flour. It was plenty thick for us.
Thanks again for a new spin on pot roast!! â„ïžđâ„ïž
This recipe was delicious thanks so much .i didnt have chuck roast so i use a rump roast.I also used Marsala cooking wine.
That sounds delicious!
Just saw this video and I am making it tonight...I love that you had to strain your gravy! That's very real : ). Things don't always come out perfect...but can be made perfect-ish.
That is so true!
Early Christmas gift and the 3rd time Iâve ever used this machine. This is the 1st time following these instructions for this meal.
Results: my wife wants to renew our vowels after 21 years...lol
Seriously, it turned out so delicious. I even made the gravy which weâve never had with pot roast and itâs so good.
Thank you very much for your video. We want you to know that you are more than appreciated.
Have a perfect Christmas. God bless you and your loved ones always.
This makes me so happy! I'm thrilled everything went well for you and your wife loved it!
@@TheSaltedPepper Thank you
It looks amazing! A tip: bundle your sprigs into a bouquet garni so that you can remove them in one piece. Now I want a roast!
I made this recipe yesterday. It was awesome!!
I am so glad you enjoyed it!
i made it came out super freaking good need to follow you for more recipes
Glad you liked it!!
That looks amazing! Iâve ordered one of these from QVC and the first thing Iâm gonna cook is Panackelty đđ
Congratulations on your new Foodi! I know you are going to LOVE it!
Thank you for the tong link to Pampered Chef.
Of course, anytime!
Awesome. I will make this for my family
Hope you love it!
This was so amazing. I will definitely be making this again. Thank you so much for your videos. You do such a professional job.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for the kind words!
I made this tonight and everyone loved it. I used two chuck roast for a total of appox. 6lbs. I got the 8 qt foodi and did as you said cut it up into 4 in blocks. And it does make it easier to brown up. The only thing I did different was, I know nothing about wines. So I used a can of beef broth, reduced salt. Then added a beef bouillon cube. The gravy turned out very good.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
just got my foodi delivered today.. this is the first meal im going to try! can't wait! Only bought the foodi because of your channel... haha
Congratulations and I hope you love it as much as I do! Enjoy the pot roast!
Itâs cooking now... is it normal for steam to still escape when pressure cooking and for it to make a loud hissing sound? The vent is switched to âsealâ...
No, that isn't normal. If it is coming from around the lid, your seal isn't in all the way. You need to turn the Foodi off and investigate because you will run out of liquid.
That looks fantastic, now waiting for my Ninja smartlid thingy to arrive so I can have a go myself!
Oh my, that looks good! I've watched a few of your videos now and I can't wait to try this one. New subscriber. :)
Thank you so much!
My mouth is watering just watching this.
It is so good!
Wow, that's incredible, thank you. đđâ
